I’ve been doing Rebecca’s meal prep since the beginning of July and I’ve already lost 18 lbs! The food is absolutely delicious — great quality, nice portions, well-balanced, and healthy. Rebecca is such a wonderful chef and truly cares about her clients. She’s always willing to make accommodations or adjustments to fit your tastes or dietary needs, which makes the experience even better. I feel healthier, happier, and so grateful for her meals!

Blake and his team of trainers at VIP Fitness are absolutely the best! I was someone who really had not worked out at all, so I benefited very well from the 1:1 training with a program tailored specifically for me. Blake was always so patient and willing to work with my limitations, but pushing me just enough to make positive changes that I have continued to carry on even though my sessions have ended. I was in a really tough spot in life and had tried various gyms and never felt comfortable or that staff and trainers truly cared about my well-being. I have been very hesitant to workout and I stepped foot into VIP and Blake was immediately attentive and concerned about my overall health and fitness goals. We started at a pace I was comfortable with. Blake truly cares about his clients and puts his heart and soul into their success. This is not something you will get going to a corporate gym. VIP is definitely the right title because you are treated like a very important person the minute you walk into this gym. I would give this business 10 stars if I could. I started training with Becca a couple months ago, and I truly have never been happier. Dealing with anxiety and stressful eating habits have taken a toll on my life. I wanted a way out. I started working out with Becca with little to no experience of physical exercise. She started me out with what I needed and continues to challenge me. It truly is a no judgement zone. I could walk in with the dorkiest outfit and her top priority is to make me work hard to achieve my fitness goals. Becca is constantly making me laugh and I enjoy listening to music with her. Becca and Blake are extremely kind, friendly, and welcoming people. They are also very experienced when it comes to fitness and health and I am constantly learning new things that allow me to be my best, healthy self.
Aside from fitness, Becca’s food is amazing. I am a very picky eater and only like a select few foods. Working with what I enjoy, becca has somehow incorporated healthy ingredients into my fave foods. Some meals I have even liked more than my own mother’s cooking! You can tell that she is truly passionate about cooking and feeding her clients healthy, yet yummy meals. For example, I love vodka pasta, and she made me vodka pasta with 25g of protein! I look forward to her meals because they are satiating, healthy, and easy to grab and go for whatever meal of the day.
As someone who typically hated working out before I came to VIP fitness, I’m here to say that training here has changed my outlook on exercise, how much I enjoy it, and its importance. I feel very supported by both Becca and Blake, and I would recommend coming to VIP fitness for anyone interested in working out and meeting their fitness goals.

Best trainer, nobody like him around town who genuinely gets to know you & your limits. He finds your weakness & helps you improve on them slowly but surely. I cannot begin to express my gratitude for Blake and VIP Fitness!!! I am recently recovering from a meniscus repair and labrum tear surgery one right after the other. I met Blake at the Field House in Waukegan two weeks after each surgery working out. He admired my drive and the friendship begun there. The highest level of this professionalism from this God fearing man you will not find elsewhere. I am a competitor on strongman and though Blake is not a strongman coach, he helped me get right back on my feet and I qualified for nationals in two separate weight classes and now working towards a world record. I've also won the title of Illinois strongest man for my weight class. So his level of knowledge is so advanced, that he can accommodate ANY style of training and fitness you could or want to pursue!! I was initially apprehensive about getting back into working out but I decided to go in for what I thought was a consultation and Blake immediately had me working out and we’ve been locked in ever since. I randomly walked by VIP Fitness one day and came in to see what they were about. Husband-wife team Rebecca and Blake were kind and welcoming. I explained that I had “graduated” from physical therapy after my ankle surgery (an injury which left me unable to bear any weight at all on the foot for over a year), and I was looking for help to regain some strength and mobility and balance. I was offered a free initial assessment session, so I gave it a shot.

Blake pushes me pretty hard in the sessions, but not TOO hard—so I haven’t re-injured my ankle, and we tailor the exercises toward making sure I have the strength and balance to avoid another catastrophic injury. It’s only been a few months, with one half hour session a week (what I can afford), but with Blake’s advice on walking on the grass and not on the sidewalks when I do my daily walks, I’ve noticed a huge improvement in functionality over the last many weeks.

I’m more stable when walking, can walk for much longer periods, and doing normal daily activities is easier. I have more endurance and balance. The ankle is still pretty sensitive to temperature changes and bearing weight at certain angles, but there’s a lot of improvement from the atrophy of the initial injury duration.

If you, like me, have no idea what you’re doing at a gym and need clear directions (and adult supervision, LOL) for physical training, I suggest you go in for a chat and scheduling a free assessment session. Their studio is right by the Riverside Cafe and the medical supply shop.

Results. Blake will get you results! I came in to VIP FITNESS overweight & unhealthy. Blake showed me better. He set up a meal program for me, provided me with knowledge on proteins and fatty foods, & set up a fitness plan I could do myself at home. His constant reminders and check ins every week motivated me to restrict my diet from chips and McDonald’s to chicken & veggies.

I go to VIP Fitness in Lake County Chicago every time I visit my sister. I consider myself a gym rat and I feel VIP Fitness is one of the best gyms: lots of equipment for a great workout and a clean environment.
