I have been working with Tim for one year. I can’t say enough good things about him. I found him through referral from a friend when I was starting to experience decreased strength, stamina and balance issues. I was definitely feeling my age and felt things would quickly deteriorate further if I didn’t do something. Now, one year later, I feel so much better, find routine household chores easier and my balance issues have virtually disappeared. Tim’s fitness knowledge is clearly evident and I appreciate his experience, expertise and commitment to safety and continuing progression. However, what I love the most is how pleasant and encouraging he is with me every single session. He has never once made me feel like an ‘unfit old lady!’ He enthusiastically celebrates my progression. He has worked hard to adjust my training to accommodate an arthritic knee and a trigger finger surgery. I am excited to continue working with Tim.

Tim Olson of Vitality Strength has been my trainer for almost 2 years. Tim's incredible wealth of knowledge in nutrition, anatomy, and exercises coupled with his patient nature and ease of communication with his clients makes working out with him so enjoyable.
Tim was recommended by a friend due to my desire to get back in shape after a lengthy and relatively debilitating illness. Over the course of working with him, Tim's motivating work ethic has not only gotten me back into shape, but he continually shows concern for helping me understand so much about my own muscle and joint health. His pleasant nature, constant encouragement, and genuine concern for my well-being truly makes me think of him as a friend rather than just a trainer.

I’ll start by saying Tim is an amazing person and trainer! Vitality Strength Training is a family owned local gym—a great environment even if you’re not a “gym” person, clean, and has top equipment including punching/kickboxing bags. He offers a variety of training styles (one on one, group, classes, etc) and works with you and your schedule. He also offers nutrition services, which was helpful to me personally. I’ve been training with Tim since Jan 2022 and have never felt more empowered, strong, and overall my best despite playing sports/being active most of my life! Tim trained me through various injuries and even 2 pregnancies! He was more helpful to me than the physical therapist I worked with. In my experience with other trainers, he’s the most professional, knowledgeable, and caring personal trainer out there. He was able to identify my muscle weaknesses without me saying anything and helped me strengthen them. Tim always makes sure you have proper lifting form, prioritizes longevity, and ensures you feel comfortable.

What can I say about Tim other than the fact that he is an amazing human being and an exceptional trainer. With his knowledge and extra push I was able to come back from a nasty quadruple knee surgery ( ACL, MCL, Lateral Meniscus and Hamstring) and within 6 months be back to running , squatting, box jumping, etc.
What I like most about working out under Tim's guidance is the practical application in our day to day life of all the strength and conditioning benefits. Strength is health!

I have been working with Tim for about a year now and it has easily been the best decision I’ve made for myself in years. Not only have I gotten stronger physically but mentally I am stronger than I’ve been in my life. Tim really digs deep into what your looking to achieve and designs a program that he knows will work for you and if it isn’t working then he makes small adjustments to ensure you see and feel results within your body.

I’ll start by saying that I was never a gym person nor have I ever lifted any weights. A few years ago, my husband and I committed to making a change in our Iives, with a focus on getting healthy. I’ve been working with Tim for a couple years now and I’ve never been leaner or felt stronger in … probably ever.

I’ve gone from never having lifted a weight to being able to pass a wrought iron table (by myself) over a 5 foot fence to my neighbor, WITH EASE 😅 if that’s not functional fitness at work, I don’t know what is.

It all starts somewhere so start with someone who knows what they’re doing. Tim is extremely knowledgeable, professional, patient and 100% invested in helping people achieve their goals.

Some background on me- I've been working out since 2014. I used to hate gym class and being active. I ended up making a friend who taught me so much about working out that I ended up loving it. I was open to getting a trainer and I had one personal trainer in the past but that trainer was no where close to Tim. I know Tim is passionate about training and nutrition because of how knowledgeable he is! I just graduated a Physical Therapist Assistant program and I trust Tim because he actually cares about his clients.

If you go to any gyms like Xsport /LA fitness, etc you'll see that the personal trainers aren't actively pushing their client (they're on their phone, they walk away and not participate in motivating their client) I've seen trainers at the gym teach incorrect form and progressions for their clients that are unsafe.

I cannot emphasize enough how much I trust Tim helping me with my fitness journey. My sister and I have been training with Tim for almost a year now and it has changed my outlook on fitness. I met Tim from a gym I used to go to when I took his classes and I loved his classes! He always kicked my butt and pushed me every time. Whenever I would workout we would both say hi and sometimes he would even comment and say I can lift more weight. Since covid happened last year I decided to try training with Tim.

In regards to pricing since I'm sure some are curious- Tim's rates are VERY reasonable. If you go to any gyms or other private trainers they will charge you waaaaay too much. Tim's price is competitive and worth every penny because he truly does care!

This past year he's kept me accountable and has a wonderful understanding of regressing exercises and progressing them properly and safely. I have had back pain and neck pain that comes and goes which I've been actively strengthening, stretching etc. Tim has worked around that to help me continue training pain free. He knows I will tell him when an exercise is too much and is quick to change or revise exercises based off my pain and my goals. Earlier this summer I participated in a macro challenge Tim had created and it helped me lose 11lbs in 7 weeks! It was not a weight loss challenge but simply it was a challenge to keep me accountable. In that challenge I was in a calorie deficit (no keto BS or other crazy diet) I ate what I wanted and stayed within macros to the best of my ability. He checked in weekly which was awesome! I learned so much from that challenge that it has given me clarity and better relationship with food. I no longer overeat and I try to make better food choices if I'm ever going out to eat.

I can see that he goes above and beyond to take care for his clients because he isn't just all about personal training, he understands nutrition very well and promotes the importance of mental health. He participates in continuing education which is amazing because we can all learn and grow.

Tim is a well prepared and an overall incredible trainer because he asks his clients what their goals are and executes amazingly.

Tim has been my trainer for almost a year now and has truly helped me succeed and surpass my expectations for myself as far as my overall health and fitness. I worked with Tim in a group fitness setting and he made every workout different, challenging and fun. He really cares about his clients and wants to teach them good habits and proper technique. I worked with Tim in a group fitness setting but he made it feel like a personal training session every time. He gives his clients 110% of his attention and pushes them to work hard because he knows they have it in them. I had ZERO background in lifting weights or doing anything other than cardio but Tim showed me the ropes! I felt comfortable trying new movements and using heavier weights because he was there to correct my form and cheer me on. My results spoke for themselves....70 lbs gone! I was in the best shape of my life working out with T3O (a.k.a. Ti-mothy). He made workouts fun, I actually looked forward to exercising which was insane for me. He kept me on top of my food game even when I had baking binges. Tim is the personal trainer you have been looking for! As a competitive figure skater, (2 time USA National Champion and USA world team member,) I have worked with several trainers throughout my career. After a major injury I came to Tim to work on getting my strength back while still needing to be careful due to still being in recovery. Tim not only was willing to work around my recovery limitations, but also identified places in my mobility that could be improved to help prevent future injuries. And if that is not enough, my favorite thing about working with Tim is his understanding and knowledge on the importance of mind body connection and creating balance.
