DONT GO HERE. This place is AWFUL. The gym itself is fine for what you pay, but the staff is ridiculous. Their cancellation policy is awful and they charge you for 6 months AFTER corporate receives your “letter of resignation”- that has to be sent through priority mail. The staff at the Wauconda location as well as corporate staff are all terrible. For $15 a month it may seem nice but you will get wayyyy overcharged and everybody you try to contact will be “unsure of how to fix that”.

I have been working with Chris the trainer for a month and I feel great. He makes the workouts challenging yet rewarding every time. All the employees are friendly and willing to answer any questions. Enjoying my membership.

I've been working out here for a few years now, and I've seen a steady decline in overall care and cleanliness during that time. I'm sure part of it has to do with the fact that theres a new employee working there every month, and I haven't seen a general manager or regional staff there in ages. I really just go there because it's cheap and it has what I need to work out.

This gym has awesome staff and they’re always helping out and they know how to maintain the gym. It’s never really packed and everyone in they’re working out is polite and all in there to just work out and not show off in any way. I would definitely recommend it.

Been working out here for almost a year. Place is always clean, every staff member i met is friendly and willing to lend a helping hand (spot me on my bench press and squats). Look for Morgan at the front desk. Every time I walk in the gym, she is always cheerful and asks how I'm doing. I live 30min away but the drive is worth it! I feel at home. Cost is reasonable. Highly recommend this gym for anyone of any fitness level looking for a new place to workout.

The manager, Jose , is a warm, inviting and friendly person to work with. The place is clean and bright. Being located in a shopping center parking is not a problem and there is a grocery store and post office right there making it a convenient place to work out. Pricing is very competitive and all around an asset to the community.

Signed up here about a month ago and I have nothing but great things to say about this place! The manager Joe was so helpful getting me started with my membership as well as starting me up with Chris who is an excellent trainer. If you are looking for a great price gym in the area i would highly suggest coming here!

This gym in wauconda changed their policy a few months after I joined in 11/2017. Originally when I joined a premium membership allowed me to bring a guest unlimited times with me during staff hours. Since the policy changed 2/2018 now I can only bring a guest 3 times per year. This is horrible business. I recommend members cancel their membership and join at workout anytime in Mundelein just 7 minutes away. This gym is bigger, cleaner, nicer people, and their premium membership offers unlimited guest vists as a great deal.

I wish I could write a 0. My bank changed my debit card on me, their error. Without telling me the gym kept charging me but told me there was an error with my account, so obviously I wouldn't go and use the facilities. I was under the assumptiom from their communication the account was frozen. I went in to figure it out and now I owe 60 dollars for a service I wasn't using (I paid when I wasn't using the account easier last year.) But I was told my account was on hold. They come back and say this, that and whatever. I offered to get the new card on file and continue paying, instead I'm told I need to pay the difference and then keep paying. I'm then told to look in my user agreement, back when I got the service YEARS ago. Usually the staff has been friendly, but to figure this out they were rude and snarky, instead of trying to work this out. I will be changing services, especially since I've been a loyal customer and up til now never had a problem with bilking or making payments. The only plus is they don't close, otherwise it is crowded for a small gym, esepcailly the bench since they only have one.

I wish I could give this place a zero. Staff isn't friendly or accommodating. The place isn't the cleanest. The have tanning beds which is one of the main reasons why I signed a ridiculous contract with this gym but you can't even enjoy the tan because the room is FREEZING and I understand that you want it to be a little cooler in a tanning room but this was unbearable! And when that or any issue is brought up that staff they say "nothing we can do about it." I've been trying to cancel my membership here since November and I have to write a letter. I've written several letters to cooperate and they claim they haven't received them and they require that you send it certified. So I have to pay to cancel my membership? Ridiculous. The girl I talked to at corporate was so incredibly rude too. Don't waste your time or money here. There are so many better options other than this place.

Very affordable gym membership. Although the location is smaller than the Mundelein one, it has all the essentials to getting fit and ready that summer body. A tip for college students, freeze your account a month in advance so that you aren't charged that following month. Overall, satisfied with the service!

The rate ? Yess it’s good but some machines are way too close to the other ones you can breath the person next to you odor
And some machines won’t go lower than what they suppose to go

Facility is clean, staff is friendly. Point deductions goes to the contract jargon that my husband and were talked into by a previous trainer. The contract was not clearly explained. At the the time, Joe was the trainer at this facility, Jeremy the manager, now at the Naperville facility. We understood that we would be charged monthly for personal training. What we did not understand properly is that the total payment ($720.00) was divided into 3 payments of $240.00, since the contract for for 3 months ( we did not understand that this was a 3 month contract, otherwise we would not have signed). We had asked Jeremy to reverse that last payment as we had a financial situation come up. Jeremy said no problem he would reverse the payment. The new manager Tom said that this is not how it works, we contracted for 3 months, the contract is now up and there is no reversal in payment. My husband now must finish the personal training whether he wants to or not. So for those who read this, be very careful of contracts you may sign and the amount of money contracted for. Their personal trainers overcharge for their services that are not directly related to personal fitness. My husband had bilateral knee replacement and went there for a type a extended rehab, which did not happen with the personal trainer we started with!!! So buyers beware, also check credentials of the personal trainers to make sure they can help if you are using them beside fitness!!

If I could give zero stars, I would. I am writing on behalf of my husband. He joined here for a quick/cheap place to workout. They tout all these great things (workout, tanning, water massage), and that you can bring a guest for free! Welllllll... buyer beware! They have screwed us and were unwilling to correct ANY of it! If you're going to ever switch plans/levels of membership--be prepared for a fee. If you're going to suspend your account (or freeze or hold--yes, careful, each of these words means something different to them and they SAY it's just to keep your info on file)--be prepared for a fee... If you're going to want to get a water message--be prepared for a fee (depending on membership level, and certainly not as a guest)...

long story short, they say one thing and CHARGE for another. Buyer beware--look past the bulky (get it?!) talk and READ THE FINE PRINT. Their word/promises mean nothing.

I hate this gym. The equipment is not set up properly and when I first signed up when this gym came into the area I was never told there was a cancellation fee. They are very misleading and I signed myself, my fiancee, and my son up with a membership, but I left shortly after my membership began because their equipment and staff are garbage! Their staff work out during their work hours and there has been a great deal of turnover because of false promises and failure to provide good customer service. I have been consistently charged for my son's membership, as he is the only active member, and I keep being told they will no longer charge my credit card and my son is paid through 2 months ahead, but sure enough I get charged again. They are full of excuses and I will never go back to this gym or recommend this place!!
