Iβve been going here nearly every day for about a month now! I have to say I really enjoy the variety of class times they offer that work with my schedule. In particular, I recommend any of Jill Luβs classes, I love going when sheβs teaching!

I didn't know which YBD to write my review under--i go to all 3! That's part of the beauty of YBD. I live in Lombard so all 3 locations are convenient for me, which opens up a huge amount of classes available to me. I have been going to YBD for the last 7 years. It's the best yoga and deal around! Fantastic instructors. Great offerings, including restorative options every day, not just as events. I go to a regular yoga and a restorative 4-5 days a week. Stacey Z is magic! All the other teachers are excellent as well. The locker rooms are so convenient. All the teachers encourage modifications and doing what's best for your body. My practice has come so far!

I was bummed when some of my fav teachers left during COVID but I finally found Alex R again. She's teaching at Grit and Grace in Countryside. Nobody comes close...nobody.

First day after the covid situation and it was a success!! They've made it so that we can have a distance between one another. Tape is placed on the floor to make sure you are six feet apart. No locker use nor showers are allowed but we still have the opportunity to enjoy out exercise.

Wow! I feel so sincerely lucky that I found this studio! I just finished a level 1 with Alisa and it was very clear instruction, fluid pacing and the perfect amplitude of challenge. I also love Toddβs level 1. These are the types of instructors that will birth a life long addiction to yoga within you!

I truly wanted to make sure I let someone know the terrible experience I had at the Western Springs Yoga by Degrees location. I have been an avid follower of Yoga and my wife and I are taking to Yoga really well. On 10/31, my wife and I attended the Yoga Sculpt class at 7:15 PM with Nadja L as the instructor. Typically, my wife and I take Yoga Sculpt with Kristen in the same location and have had a great experience.
First, to start class Nadja L did not ask the permission of anyone in class if it was already to touch and offer help. At the beginning of class, while doing a pose involving bending of the knees, Nadja L came to me and instructed me to move my right knee further out. I understand this is normal and then proceeded to tell Nadja L that I couldn't do that due to pain. Instead of understanding and respecting my decisions, she started to touch my right knee and force me into a position that was putting more pain on my knee. I told he I couldn't do that and she then started to question me as to why I couldn't do it. I was deeply offended by her persistent and rude behavior in front of the whole class. After this, Nadja L would constantly be criticizing the way my wife and I were performing the stretches. Nadja L stated that her vocal orders were loud and clear and guests need to try to pay attention and follow the steps. Her persistence continued to the point where my wife and I had to leave midway during class because we felt targeted. I understand people might have off days but, this was something a lot more targeted to me.
This was BY FAR the rudest and most stressful Yoga class I have ever been to at Yoga by Degrees. I legitimately felt targeted by her and her rude comments towards my wife and I. I did not consent to be touched and did not expect the instructor to treat me with no respect. I write this to honestly relay this information to someone who can monitor the behavior of the instructors working for Yoga by Degrees. This experience has tarnished my idea of what Yoga is.

It's a lovely studio. I last went in at least three years ago. I purchased a Groupon based on the fine print that implied I could use a Groupon. When I showed up they refused because I've used a Groupon there once before in my life (lots of places do this). The restriction wording on this Groupon said one per customer, one may be gifted, valid on guests who have not been to the studio in the last six months. (So, up to two can be purchased at once if one is for someone else, needs to be six months or more since last visit). Sure sounds like I should be able to use it. But, they told me no and instantly offered to credit it towards me buying classes. Be wary.
ETA: I have not been contacted as implied below. This experience has soured me completely on this studio, and I would not be comfortable going there.
