I love the Yoga Lab! Everyone is so kind and the instructors are top notch. I'm a novice, but feel capable of attempting the different poses based on the helpful verbal instructions provided by the instructors. The heated class was an excellent workout for my body and a great release for my mind. It was a great way to start the day! Looking forward to going to more classes.

Yoga Lab is the kind of place that makes you wish you lived in Bloomington. I was lucky enough to find the place (probably while looking up coffee shops lol) when I was in town for work, and they just so happened to have 5 a.m. classes every day of the work week, which I had never found before and am hoping to find again closer to home some day. 🤞Having evening options that started as late as 7:30 was also very convenient. The instructors I had were all obviously really experienced and good at what they do, and they were also good at reading the room and providing guidance through out each session. The staff and other students were also all just very welcoming and excited to be there, overall making it a wonderful community to get to be a part of. And you can't beat the pricing. The membership is the best way to go, but even the individual class prices are incredibly reasonable especially given the caliber of instruction that's provided. I learned a lot here and am very grateful that I got to be a student here even if it was just for a short window. Thank you guys for everything! 😊

Yoga lab is amazing! They offer $15 drop in classes, which is great for new folks like me who aren't ready for a monthly membership. I love that there are no mirrors, so you can focus better on your practice. All of the classes I've been to so far have been fantastic, but I love Heat + Power the most - it's a consistent routine each week, so you know what to expect, and a very intense workout.

What I love most is communication from the instructors that we can all move at our own pace. There is no sense of competition - you can move slow, sit down, or pause whenever that's needed.

I also love their coffee! You can order coffee or acai to be ready after your class so you can get refreshed right away 😊

I can't recommend yoga lab enough! It's so good for regulation and mental health. If you are hesitant, I encourage you to give it a try.

Still so thoroughly disappointed to lose the work space. Wish they had kept just a couple work tables and desk chairs or have the closed offices cleared out. Loved being able to do a class, get a coffee, and get right back to work. Had no idea this happened until I showed up to work there one day. The front cafe is not comfortable to work in.

In January of 2024, I made a goal of doing something once a week that was just for me and my own self care.

I found the Yoga Lab through a brief Google search and found it was not far from my house.

I decided to give one hot power yoga class a try and got hooked! It was hard and sweaty and calming. I found myself outside of my own thought spiral because I was so focused on being present in my own body through the moves. Plus, I will never forget that Abby remembered my name the second class I came back for. I thought that was so awesome and proved how much they were pouring back into their own community.

I am not in the position in life right now to be a member, but I still show up once a week for myself and my goals. My body is more flexible, my mind quieter, and my body healthier (also due in part to the acai bowls 😋).

I have made great community at the Yoga Lab and always feel welcome back every week even though I'm not a monthly member. I am so grateful for finding this place and letting it heal me inside and out. Every week, someone new will say hi to me, and everyone has each other's backs. It's just the best place.

I cannot recommend it enough! 🧘🏼‍♀️❤️

Firstly, I will say this business partnered with Rivian in giving their employees free yoga classes and discounted cafe items for employee appreciation week, which is why I visited. I think it is a very generous and unique opportunity/benefit for the week, and it’s nice to know they are aware of the working community.

I decided to challenge myself and take a 5am heated power yoga class before I went to work, and I am so so glad I did. I told Todd it was my first time going to an actual studio, and he was very kind and calm to ease my nerves and show me around. There is definitely a sense of community and familiarity amongst people in the class, and they were not hesitant to make me feel welcomed as well.

Class was wonderful, I had a great time. It was slightly challenging, but a good “flow state” vibe for me with the knowledge I had from Youtube yoga. Todd made sure to ask how I liked the practice as well. I left feeling great.

The space is very aesthetically pleasing, clean, and easy to navigate. I easily found bathrooms and the coffee bar upon walking in. I took a coffee and açaí bowl to go. The staff is pleasant and I had a good first experience, thank you again for making my first time doing yoga in a studio great.

Have you ever considered the power of yoga for recovery? This was what I was seeking but not knowing where to begin. I started with a Restorative class with Melissa. Immediately I felt welcome with a personal greeting as I walked through the door and that hospitality transitioned into the studio. I also observed how exceptionally clean and organized the studio was.
I knew the Yoga Lab was going to be a place where I knew that I could learn, grow, and fully submerge myself into a new mindset shift in my recovery journey. For me, this was much more than increasing my physical capabilities (that has been a bonus) I wanted the challenge of recalibrating my brain to slow down. At the end of my first class, Melissa invited me back with an opportunity to attend two more classes, on her. I totally took her up on that.
In my short time at the Yoga Lab, now as a member, I am grateful to have found another Community that has provided me an additional pathway to continue to dig deep and work through my hurts, habits, and hang-ups. Thank you Yoga Lab for being another opportunity in our community for our community, wherever you are in your practice. I'm excited about the profound implications of my journey thus far.

The best spot in town. Coffee is better than anywhere else, and the yoga is killer! Power + Heat is an incredible workout, and the regular power is just as fun, while still being challenging. Restorative yoga is so nice, and has proven to be equally as beneficial as the other types. Benefits I’ve noticed from my practices include but are not limited to: increased strength, mobility, mental clarity, and many new friends! The best part is you don’t have to have yoga experience. I never did yoga before this place.

The community here is unmatched. I thought I’d sign up for a few classes then be done, but it’s been almost a year and I have no plans of stopping. Came for the yoga, stayed for the people (and this is coming from an introvert )💛 Abby & Adam, thanks for taking a risk on what might have felt like a wild idea.
It worked.

Side note: If Abby says her intention for a class is “fun, it’s a different kind of fun than everyone else. You’ve been warned.😉

Trendy spot with mellow vibes. Stopped here on a road trip looking for an alternative to the fast food option around. We tried many of the Açaí flavors and each one was great. The toppings were fresh and provided good flavor options. The location is definitely hidden, you would miss it if you didn’t enter it in the GPS. Looks like there is some communal work space in the back. My only comment is that the açaí was really hard and frozen, you have to wait for it to soften a little.

By far the best yoga class instruction I've experienced in Bloomington/Normal. Yoga Lab has everything I look for in a group fitness experience: an educated, competent instructor, not too empty or crowded (just the right amount of participants,) gentle guidance/corrections when called for, a clean studio, room temp not too hot or cold, challenging sequences but adaptable for all levels, and a really nice music selection to practice to.

BEST YOGA!! I was blown away by my experience at the Yoga Lab. I was passing through town and stoped in for a class. Really pleasant community members, easy to talk to and befriend. Made me feel very welcomed.

The space is beautiful! Really cool white and black color theme, contemporary feel in the color design with some cool exposed brick too! Nice plants all around give it a great vibe.

The owner (Abby) taught the class I took and it was incredible. Physical, inspiring, powerful, and got me deep into the flow!

I also met a few other teachers who were practicing. Nice to see their whole staff involved in the classes and community.

The Yoga Lab is different than any Yoga place that I’ve been to. When I’m here I have a sense of community, belonging, safety and comfort.

I love how they have options for me to linger both before and after the class, it’s not just a show up, practice and leave, but I’m invited to stay and get to know not just the other people who take the classes, but members of the community and the people who make the Yoga Lab possible.

It’s really an experience like no other. Come for the yoga and stay for the coffee, or come for the coffee (it’s amazing) and stay for the yoga, but either way you’ll make new friends and be very welcome and happy you did!

Job well done
