I have two daughters, ages 8 and 5, who attend Big Blue Swim School, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. The instructors are patient, encouraging, and know exactly how to connect with kids at different developmental levels. Both of my girls look forward to every lesson—they’ve grown more confident in the water and are genuinely having fun while learning important skills.

The facility itself is clean, organized, and very family-friendly. Scheduling is flexible, which makes it much easier for us as a busy family. The progress my kids have made in a short time is incredible, and I really appreciate how the staff takes the time to celebrate each milestone.

Overall, Big Blue Swim School has been excellent. It’s a place where my kids feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. I highly recommend it to any parent looking for quality swim instruction!

The swim instructor spends more time yawning than she does following the program. When there’s a different instructor it’s completely different. However even they seem to not know what the actual program is. Taking it seriously seems to be the last thing on their mind. If summer wasn’t almost over I’d cancel. They also allow parents to stay in the pool area if you prefer and the staff monitors student progress closely. The app works well too. We had our free trial class at Big Blue swim today. We recently quit the YMCA because the lack of attention, lack to education towards the swimmers and just all around lack of empathy towards my son. Big Blue was a complete 180 from the YMCA. We were greeted with kindness immediately. Our swim instructor, Jana, was incredibly knowledgeable and explained every rationale as to why something was being taught. She incorporated my son’s favorite animal, made sure that grandma could see everything that was happening and called my son by his name; something the YMCA never did. We talked about the importance of swim safety and how everything leads back to “what if an accident happens in the real world, how can we teach a child to survive.” I am so happy we found Big Blue Swim School.

We LOVE Big Blue Swim School. Our daughter started going there in August of 2023. In the beginning, she struggled with putting her face in the water. Today, she just leveled up to a Bold Blue 2. You pay top dollar to have kids working with your kids instead of certified instructors. There was a really young man instructor that was working with my daughter.
He tightened the goggles so tight around my daughter's eyes, that her eyes look like she was punched in them, and there were purple ring indentations around her eyes.

When I asked that a police officer be called, and an ambulance, they denied to do either one of them.

Yes I used profanity, because my daughter's eyes were swelling shut... But I was irate because they would not call an ambulance to look at my daughter.

They were only worried about their reputation and how it looked other customers seeing my daughter's eye swelling shut under there care.

The manager was able to get the owner on the phone, and instead of asking if my daughter was okay he told me to get my daughter and to get off his property and that to never bring her back to a swim class.

If they will let me post pictures I will post the ones that I'm giving to CPS.

Today was our first lesson at Big Blue. I have three kids and what really sealed the deal to sign with them was that all three kids can be scheduled at the same time. No more taking multiple trips to get all three kids in lessons! This is a big plus for our family! When we walked in, I knew I made the right choice. Everything was very clean and kept in great condition, the pool deck was spotless, along with the changing rooms. We were given a tour by the manager and she was super friendly! There is a large viewing area for parents that is stocked with things like coloring pages and a climbing area to keep kids entertained while they wait for lessons. They also have a hair drying station so no more bringing our own hairdryer and fighting for an outlet after class. I was told I could join my kids on the pool deck during their lesson or sit in the viewing area. I went out on the pool deck for the last ten min of class. The teacher for my younger kids, Colton, was very patient, kind and attentive. Lots of encouragement and high fives were given during class. All three kids got out of the pool excited and asking when they could come back. I was really happy with the whole experience.

Kelcie is always very kind and helpful and patient with my daughter she likes her alot and looks forward to her weekly class. She’s making great progress with keeping her on track and helping her learn. We love big blu❤️

We love Big Blue. The facility is really nice. Plenty of seating for parents, showers for rinsing off afterwards, clean bathroom facilities which include a full shower, loads of changing rooms that are huge & friendly staff always willing & able to help out. Love that they provide baby shampoo & hair dryers as well.

We LOVE Thais! Our daughter had a hard time moving from the baby class and being in the water with us to being in a bigger class without us. Thais was so patient with her and made her feel safe! Our daughter has gained so much confidence in the water and is practically swimming on her own at 2 years old. We are so thankful for the staff at Big Blue Swim School for being patient and always willing to help in any way they can!
