Variety of machines is great. What's disappointing is the cleanliness. The turf floors are always dirty. The regular floors normally have paper towel remnants scattered. Trash cans can be over-flowing. The men's restroom is normally a mess, and I refuse to use the showers. They're not clean, water pressure is bad, and they need maintenance since they were installed. To have a gym open only since March not being cared for is sad. I travel around and use Crunch in other states and Avon's is the worst for cleanliness.

Where does one begin? Trying to cancel your membership here must take an act of God. Believe all the other reviews. I called up there to cancel to be left on hold for 15 and then called back to get a Virtual Assistant. Like what are we even doing??? If i wanted to ask AI how to cancel my membership, I would have asked ChatGPT. I then proceed to finally speak with someone (Derek, who accused me of yelling at him), only to be told I either had to come in physically or send a hand written letter, I shit you not.

I also tried to look up the contract through my account, on THEIR app, and lo and behold, I keep getting an error. What a joke of a place.

With all that being said, I’m in Canada, I can’t physically come in. And two, I’m not sending a hand written letter internationally to cancel a gym membership.

So anyway, I’m waiting for John to respond to my email to get this thing cancelled. If I don’t hear back in 24 hours I guess I’ll have to drive 16 hours to cancel. Because who knows how long snail mail will take around the holidays.

They must really be hurting for money, that’s all I have to say.

I decided to join Crunch after being with Vasa and LA Fitness. Crunch has a $9.99 membership which is amazing for when you just need machines and nothing else. I decided to get personal trainer to help me set a routine. Manager and PT are amazing and do explain EVERYTHING to you. If you decide to get PT, I highly recommend Jakobe. He works out with you, teaches you the proper moments, gives tips on healthy food choices. I love how the staff at this gym are so sweet and polite.

Taking more money than they said. I got billed my annual fee twice within three months. They all agree this is an error, but I can’t give them to give me the money back. I’ve talked to them twice in person once on the phone over the course of the past two months and I’m still waiting on my money. For being open less than a half a year they’re already starting to neglect a lot of maintenance items as well. Starting to get rundown already.

I will not be paying $0.01 due to a breach of contract by you guys from the start. Per our agreement I signed up at Fresh Thyme a few weeks prior to opening. I was told by signing up then it'd be first 2 months free then my rate. First month passed and no problem just timing for me to go in. 2nd month came and I was charged. Per our agreement that is a breach of contract. I've reached out multiple times to handle this situation and not 1 person has contacted me back. By phone, email, text. Due to negligence on your part prior to any further charges and since I will no longer be paying $0.01 more due to deceptive business practices, and negligent customer service. If you do not want to resolve this matter or even have a discussion to remedy the negligence on your part please do not ever contact me again in any form. I WILL NOT PAY THOSE CHARGES. LEARN TO RESPOND TO CUSTOMERS AND HOW TO DO CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Edit going to attempt a different process.

So Braxton the site manager was either let go, or quit and moved on to his next victims he can ignore. My issue now is the regional director John emailed me to inform me of this and that he'd be in contact with me on a personal phone call, even gave me his area code, to handle this situation. This was 10/21 and still have yet to receive this call or any call from this area code. Hoping this can get resolved quickly as they have me in collections now.

Kids crunch is supposed to be open the hours stated on the door. The whole reason I got this membership was because I needed to work out while someone was watching my kids. I even switched from another gym to this one BECAUSE of the included childcare. I have showed up 2 days in a row only to find that there is nobody staffed in the kids crunch, nor does anyone seem to care that it isn't staffed. It seems like nobody is in charge to give information on when somebody will be back either. Disappointing when you get everyone packed up, only to turn around and go back home.

Definitely the biggest gym with the most equipment and free weight area I have ever experienced. Lately the men's bathroom has some issues that need addressed . For the most part an acceptable variety of music from all genres suitable for working out is playing. Today was a different story with nothing but rap filled with offensive language playing for the entire 90 minutes I was there.

DO NOT EVEN GET THE FREE TRIAL. They offered a free trial to my husband, to which he signed up, but no information about membership was ever delivered. Later we found out they had been charging us for three months for a membership that we never agreed to. He never went because the information was never delivered (they confirmed this), and when we went in to explain the situation, they “wrote an email to the manager,” and have since ghosted us. Shady business, shady charges, I do not recommend.

Update: LOL to the response. My review was very clear it was never delivered. Customer service is terrible and it’s impossible to speak to management. There is a reason why they have so many one-star reviews.

What is that smell? I am a member since opening. It’s stayed about the same quality, with a decline in quantity of staff. New trainers try to get you to do a kick off, not a negative really. That is their job. What’s the smell? I like all the hammer strength machine options, love the free weights and platforms! Really, that smell? Front desk is always kind and welcoming. It is usually busy during the after work hours, normal. Fine in the mornings and later evenings. But seriously what’s the smell?

The men’s restroom!

Oh that might be the smell? Not sure. I’m sure the brunch manager will be sure to pull my membership and find that I am indeed part of the 8% of members who write a review. The other crunch I visited, because this one was too busy at the time, had the same issue with the leg extension machine. Not uncommon! What’s a smell huh.

Anyways, still coming and still smelling it. Guess I’ll see what’s up. Maybe crunch works on the smell, and bathroom locks too! You’ll have to hold your door closed if you do have to use it.

Smell fixed!

Pretty upset with this location. I just signed up a few days ago because it supposed to be 24 hours. I arrived at 5 am on Monday to find about 20 to 30 people waiting outside. After about 30 minutes I left. They wasted about 50 people's time this morning. And I'm sure nothing will be done about it. I will probably never come back ..very bad first impression.

This company will literally scam you if you let them. I tried out the gym and wasn’t a fan for personal preference reasons and wanted to cancel back in July. (Before I continue, I have the membership that you are allowed to cancel, not the entry level one). I called the store and they said they “recently stopped doing in person cancelations” (after July 7th I think it was?) Probably because so many people have wanted to cancel their memberships.. I then asked how to cancel and he gave me some email address and said to contact them and tell them why I’m canceling and that I would be put on a waiting list because “there are people ahead of me that want to cancel”. So I decided to just say screw it and go on their website and submit a cancelation form and I was told someone would reach out in 2-3 business days. I never got a call and just assumed it went through. Then I notice that I’ve still been getting a monthly charge and I’m actually about to go in person at this point. At the very least I’m having my bank dispute the charges because I don’t go to this gym and for some reason you have to jump through fiery hoops just to cancel. After seeing how many other people have had this problem it’s honestly annoying as hell and clearly the owner doesn’t actually care about resolving the problem. (which I can’t say I’m not surprised, seeing as this place opened less than 2 years ago and it’s already at 3 stars) Also reading through these reviews the person who replies is extremely unprofessional and condescending. I’m sorry to say that I think it’s valid for people to be upset at this company. Not a good look.

The place opened in March and already multiple machines are damaged. There are rips and giant gouges on one seated leg curl seat. The other seated leg curl has rips and a missing knob so you can’t adjust it. The lying leg curl has rips as well. Missing or frayed attachments to the cables. Broken pin cords on various machines.

There are multiple lights blinking. One outside the women’s restroom and the other above pull up bars in the area where the pool used to be.

They are inconsistent in the A/C. Sometimes you go and it’s perfect and others it’s extremely stuffy. Last night was a stuffy night. The first month was crazy stuffy. I am with the other reviewers that had complaints about inconsistencies on A/C.

Whoever cleans the floors isn’t actually cleaning the equipment too because there are particles all over the base of machines. Depending on staffing, paper towels and cleaning supplies will either be full or non existent. I am with the reviewers on this one even though the manager responded differently. It entirely depends on when you go if it’s stocked or not.

It’s an extremely busy location. There are times you can go and it be great and others it’s a zoo where you’re fighting to get machines.

The way they renovated the old LA is nice and they put in way more equipment. There is a lot to choose from. The front desk staff are always friendly. The price point is quite low, so some of it is you get what you pay for. I will say staff doesn’t allow equipment to be laying all over the floor and they do a good job of cleaning that up if members didn’t.

I’ve used many gyms in many locations over the last 20 years and I’m just surprised how broken down the equipment is here already.

This place is a scam. Listen to all the reviews about cancellation. Still in progress of trying to get them to stop trying to charge me after months.
Edit after they replied with a professional comment. I also wonder why people have to take so much time out of their day to deal with issues caused by you guys, and try and relay the message to help people from getting into the same situation. I do agree, its sad the times we are in that companies dont care about customer service and instead of how much they can bring in. When in reality if you treat your one star customers better you might have a repeat customer!

Please get better with notifying parents if kids crunch will be closed. You posted kids crunch will be closed from 4-8pm on Facebook and instagram one time. There has been 3 other times since then that we have been turned away due to the kids crunch being closed. This is a waste of a 35 minute drive and a waste of pre-workout. A simple post on social media can’t be that hard to do.

Beware of the shady business practices this gym conducts. I began my membership on March 29, 2025. I haven't gone to the gym but always paid for it (which I'm fine with since that was my doing). I decided late august I would go ahead and cancel it since I wasn't planning on using the membership. Reviewing my contractual agreement, it stated I only needed to give WRITTEN 30-days notice to cancel my membership.

Like others, when I brought that written agreement, they stated they don't cancel in-house anymore and I would need to cancel on the app or online (which doesn't have a cancellation option anywhere). Upon them refusing to cancel my account, I sent an email to them stating I attempted to come in August 25 and have my account cancelled. I called back the same day and the person on the phone stated my account would be closed today and no longer active following the 26th.

Fast forward a couple days, the app still showed my account active and now is trying to charge me for a membership I was told was cancelled. After calling, the crunch fitness association stated that it's probably a glitch and if it charges my card, call back for a refund. On the 8th of September, I called (but didn't tell my situation) and asked them to simply check the status of my account, to which he told me it was active. How do you send me a cancellation confirmation stating my account was cancelled on August 25th, confirm over the phone numerous times that my account was cancelled, yet this most recent call they say it was an active account?

I have never seen a more shady business practice and after numerous calls and emails, asking for the manager to get in touch with me to no prevail, I have turned this case into the Indiana Attorney General's office. I am also going to dispute these attempts and have my credit card company block all transactions with this gym. Stay away from this company, they will lie to the teeth.

I was giving this gym a one star rating and the stupidity in the gym does seem to be dying down. I increased my star rating to a 4 since their personal trainer helped me during my most recent injury while lifting weights.

I have a herniated L4/L5 Disc in my back. My back gave out during a lift and I instantly fell to the floor unable to move. The trainer came over and knew EXACTLY what he needed to do to get me on my feet. He did this without question, pay, or anything.

Really meant a lot to me and I personally thanked him the next time I went in.

I joined Crunch, online, to take advantage of the deal they had in April of this year. I was told they could accommodate my son and to check the childcare center out.

Once I stopped by and realized my medically complexed son would not do well in that environment, I asked to cancel and said I would be looking to come back closer to the summer months. I was told by Braxton, the GM, that I could cancel my membership and to send over my email. I sent that over in April.

Fast forward to today, I am in collections for unpaid membership fees to a gym I haven’t even used. I have tried to text the GM and called to leave messages, with no response.

This is my final attempt to get this resolved and would highly recommend you stay away from this location based off of my experience as well as the other reviews.

This is the worst gym experience parking lot is always packed the contract is manipulated into thinking your getting a good deal best deal is putting it on a Venmo debit card and they can’t charge you when trying to cancel it’s $25 to cancel and you can cancel until month 2 and on month 2 they charge you $60 things a complete scam and they’re very pushy and scam you with the drinks they sell $5 for a protein drink instead of trying to gain profit off of everyone with the drinks that expensive they should have them where they don’t make profit like $2.50 so they can take care of their customers and help them grow instead of this complete money scam they’re running

Such a low quality gym. The parking lot has a ton of garbage scattered all over the place. Once you enter inside, you'll notice the A/C is not on (they're trying to be "cost effective"). So you'll start sweating, and then when you go to get a paper towel, guess what?? They're out of those too!! Not to mention, the staff is too busy chatting it up with each other, rather than actually improving the gym by going outside and sweeping the parking lot, or restocking the paper towels, or better yet, by turning on the A/C! Very disappointing experience.

This place is a complete scam. I tried to cancel my personal training due to financial hardship, and they couldn’t have cared less. Their response? “The only way out is if you move or get a doctor’s note.” Seriously? No compassion, no flexibility — just a cold, robotic script.

What makes it worse is that I only had one payment left, yet they still went ahead and charged me for TWO. That’s not just shady — it’s downright unethical. They clearly don’t care about their members, only the money.

Avoid this place at all costs unless you enjoy being nickel-and-dimed and treated like a dollar sign instead of a person.

I signed up online before the grand opening. Excited that a Crunch was coming to my side of town.
Unfortunately, my job took me to another state and I needed to cancel the membership. I'm still being charged. They don't respond to emails. Over the phone they've said "you have to come in person, it's policy".

I'm frustrated. You can pull my account and see that I've never entered the building. Read your emails. Be courteous enough to RESPOND. You have my number to be able to send me the "oops your payment didn't go through" (because I removed my payment information), but you won't use my number to communicate?

Maybe this will get any type of response from them.
I'll never do business with any Crunch ever again, they've made it into a nightmare that I'm still paying for.

I’ve heard great things about Crunch Fitness, so I figured I should buy a membership, and boy was it worth it! The facility is amazing and the staff are very nice and helpful!

It’s all amazing until you have to cancel a membership, an absolute nightmare. I am leaving for college here soon and I asked the staff how I was able to cancel my membership thinking they could just cancel it on the spot, nope because why would anything be that easy!!!! I had to go through this long process and fill out this form. I filled out the form and informed a staff member a couple days later I filled out the form. But they said they didn’t see it while in the process I got charged for another month at Crunch. What the hell am I going to do with a membership I can’t even use, paying monthly charges and unable to cancel it!!! This is a horrendous system and would not recommend, honestly just go to PF instead if this is how this is!

Our experience with Crunch since it opened has always been very good. The front staff regularly greet us with smiles and a wave goodbye when we’re exiting. It feels they have been well trained on front end customer service.

The trainers look dialed in to their clients and seem to genuinely care about them. I’ve witnessed for example, Zach K., who not only imparts his wealth of exercise physiology knowledge with his clients, but who also shows friendliness and outstanding connection with them. Sometimes just a warm smile makes all the difference!

We have been going to local gyms for the past 25 years. Every gym has its pros and cons. For the price of admission which is relatively low, Crunch provides an exceptional array of equipment, space and staffing. Yes, some of the cable machines should be replaced as they are already showing their wear and tear. Perhaps purchasing higher quality equipment would go much farther. But you can not argue with the number of bench and squat machines, and dumbbells that they provide. And their cardio equipment is upstairs and downstairs with so many to choose from. They converted the old LA Fitness space well making the pool area, the racquetball rooms, and basketball gym into usable space.

One more point … we have never been to a gym that has been cleaned so often as Crunch in Avon. We usually go mid day and there are ALWAYS staff cleaning and mopping and emptying garbage cans. I can’t speak for evening time operations. But the day staff—wow! Extra extra thanks to Doris and I believe her name is Jordan…they are busy bees who never seem to rest. Constantly cleaning and their job can not be easy given the number of members coming and going. Huge thanks to them!

Overall, Crunch may not be perfect, but we are very grateful they chose to land close to Avon. Definitely recommend going here.

Beware of wasting your money at this gym. I've tried a few gyms over the years and figured this would be nice since it is new and close to home. The first month was okay; I was never given a tour that I was supposed to get but it seemed clean. Fast forward a couple months and this place is a mess. The trash is overflowing constantly around the gym, the sanitary spray and paper towels are always out across the gym, the staff are not friendly or helpful (if you ask a question or have a problem they just want to sorta shrug like they don't know what to do or they want to argue with you about it), the staff also doesn't know how to use the facilities in the gym so I've had to teach them how to use their own system with the hydro chairs. It has also become a frequent occurrence to find poop on the women's bathroom floor. Now they're telling me I can't cancel my membership in person, it all has to be done online, but they can't tell me how to even do it online. Save yourself money and time by going to literally any other gym than this.

**Updated after owner response**
I have emailed you to have my membership canceled, this will be my second email requesting so. Here is a screenshot from my member portal. I stopped by Crunch Fitness in Avon hoping to get a tour. I asked if I could use the restroom and was told I might be able to go while they walked me through, or I could go next door. I chose to go next door—and ended up skipping the tour altogether.

After reading the reviews here, I think I may have dodged a bullet. I’ve been told by multiple people that the sauna is kept at a very low temperature, which is a deal breaker for me.

Seeing so many similar complaints and then watching the owner respond with “I’ll look into it” tells me all I need to know. Saying the right thing is easy—doing the right thing is another story.

If you’re so worried about utility costs, don’t offer a sauna at all. Better to not have one than to do it half-assed.

Combine that with all the comments about misleading contracts, and yeah… bullet dodged.

Everything looked cleaned and a lot of room to work out in and lots to do with the App. My trainer is Hailey, and she's and Nikita, seems very welcoming and understanding, they didn't even judge me, because I have disabilities. I was feeling at ease. I was extremely happy to tour with Nikita. I did my research first. I can't wait to start my weight loss journey with Hailey. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 plus stars , I was very impressed. Wake up you are just an employee
They refused to refund my money

Never signed any contract with them never even call them
This is illegal transaction and i will make sure to sue them very soon

Update !!!!‼️‼️‼️

I would not suggest signing with this gym, they make promises about free months at signing and they charge anyways. They've messed up my billing on memberships and training, when you call and ask for a manager they never call back. This is getting old. Every month they find a way to mess it up

Even though you pay for a trainer, you're still waiting for equipment or the trainer has to jump on equipment to "save" it for you. Honestly, not worth the hassle.

Unfortunately, this gym has turned what should have been an empowering experience into a frustrating one. I signed up for 3 months of personal training paid all required fees and clearly communicated that I only wanted those 3 months. I even confirmed the arrangement multiple times, including with Director Tyler Wilson, and filled out all required forms to prevent ongoing charges.

Despite this, I’ve continued to be billed weekly. I was assured the issue was resolved and that I’d receive a refund, yet I’ve now been charged twice more. It’s deeply disappointing and has forced me to dispute the charges with my bank and report the situation as fraud, because I no longer trust that anything is being handled appropriately.

While I’ve tried to overlook ongoing inconveniences - like the kids’ club repeatedly closing due to staff shortages, cold and cramped showers, and overcrowded workout area- unauthorized billing is unacceptable.

I truly didn’t want to leave a review, but I feel compelled to warn others to read understand who they’re dealing with. These contracts for memberships and personal training sessions are shady. Big thumbs down 👎

I love this gym. It is unfortunate though that my 7 year old does NOT want to go back.
My child and my friend’s children were put in TIMEOUT and yelled at by a worker due to not cleaning up toys they DID NOT play with. Our girls were watching movies.
This is unacceptable to do to ANY children. They are there to have fun and be watched. It is the adults job to clean up after them if necessary.
The gentleman that I spoke to and he spoke to the workers, he handled the situation and was very helpful. I hope this does get taken care of and they learn from this.

At first, I was hesitant—working out has never been my thing. But from day one, Allie has been my confidence coach, both in and out of the gym. Her encouragement feels like having a cheerleader by my side during every squat, every seal, and every small victory.

What sets Allie apart is her genuine care—not just for the program, but for me as an individual. She tailors workouts to the exercises I enjoy, while still pushing me to grow. And because I travel frequently for work, she’s even crafted portable workouts I can do in hotel gyms or rooms. That extra thought and flexibility mean the world to me.

Allie is a true blessing! If you're looking to build gym confidence, feel comfortable in your own skin (or rediscover that feeling), or just want to make the most of every minute you spend working out—Allie is absolutely your go‑to coach. I couldn’t be more grateful for her support on this journey!

My 5-star review is for Allie, if I could give her 10 stars I would!

Crunch is a new age pyramid scheme. They get your attention with their low rates and then nickel and dime you along the way. Staff is poorly trained and management is never or site and/or willing to return phone calls. I removed my bank information from their system and the ly fraudsnfly billed my bank account without consent, I never received my free month for referral of a friend and are demanding a $29.99 cancelation fee for a membership i don't use. 0/10 HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND!

BEWARE BEFORE SIGNING UP. Very very shady way of doing business. Don’t forget to report to BBB as well.
Reading through my contract and noticed they do not follow their own contract rules at all, my annual membership fee was charged to the card on file without any warning, after which my contract says that this date is still to be determined (TBD). I never received an updated date allowing me the full 60 days to prepare myself for a $180 pull from my account they just pulled it. After asking multiple times for clarification both on the phone, in person, to a manager, they could not give a definitive answer. Not to mention that the sauna doesn’t work, the gym is hot all the time, smells like garbage in the gym, broken equipment, showers that barely work, rude staff, canceled appointments without warning. No wonder while I was there in person the phones were ringing off the hooks with people complaining.

A few months ago, I was selected in a raffle to receive 3 free months at zero cost to me. 3 and a half months later, a day and a half before I am gone for 13 weeks for USMC basic training, my card was charged $86.98 for the activation fee and monthly charge that I was told, by an employee, I would not be charged for until I came IN PERSON and started myself, otherwise I would never have given my card info to this dishonest, manipulating company. They also said there is no way to get me the money, that i never once used to use their gym, back. It's 2025, yes, there most definitely are many ways for me to get it back. Crunch Fitness is dishonest and manipulating in their methods to get people to unknowingly sign up for a membership that they may not even want. This isn't anything personal against any of the employees, but I am writing this review and filing a complaint against Crunch Fitness on the Better Bisiness Bureau.

Edit: something i just remembered was they said they sent me a copy of the contract I supposedly signed saying they could do that, which i have no recollection of. I checked my email, spam and all, and jt was nowhere to be found.

This place is a scam—if you’re thinking about just giving it a try, don’t bother. The contract is manipulative and packed with hidden fees when you try to cancel.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this was one of the worst customer experiences I’ve had. I signed up for Crunch Fitness hoping to try it out, but after just a month, I realized it wasn’t for me. The gym was constantly overcrowded, parking was impossible, and I could rarely use the equipment I came for.

When I decided to cancel, I called ahead and was told I needed to either mail in a letter or come in person—no option to cancel online or over the phone. When I finally made it in (after once again circling for parking), I was hit with an “annual fee” during cancellation. Not a cancellation fee, they said—but if I’m canceling, why would I owe the annual payment?

The staff gave me a robotic “this is just how it works” response. But here’s the truth: if you’re overselling memberships to the point where your facilities are unusable, you shouldn’t be locking people into fine-print contracts that make it hard to leave.

Crunch banks on the fact that most people won’t read the contract closely or fight the charges. Don’t fall for it. There’s nothing “no commitment” about this place.

Not a person to write reviews AT ALL, but the way they do memberships is extremely shady. I know that’s common for a lot of gyms, but just know before signing this place is no different. The gym itself is very nice with a lot of machines and convenient hours, but know behind all the smoke and mirrors of all the promotions they offer. Gym experience overall is actually very nice and a lot better than the LA Fitness that was there before, but when signing your membership and they offer you something, GET IT IN WRITING. Employees are nice but will say anything to get you to sign. Also if you go for a kickoff, be prepared to allocate around 2 hours of your time (which will consist of 1 hour and 55 minutes of trying to convince you to do personal training, and 5 minutes of body scan).

I’m extremely disappointed with the experience we had at Crunch Fitness. Our brother, who is a baptized Sikh, was wearing his Kirpan (Sri Sahib), which is a mandatory article of faith for baptized Sikhs. Instead of showing understanding or even taking a moment to learn about our religious practice, the staff acted with outright rudeness.

They made no effort to have a respectful conversation or seek any clarification — they were quick to push for a refund and cancel the membership without any willingness to accommodate or understand. It felt like they were desperate to get rid of us instead of treating us with basic human respect.

Because of this discriminatory and disrespectful behavior, not only did we have to cancel our brother’s membership, but three of us also chose to cancel ours on the spot. It’s truly disappointing that in today’s world, places that claim to promote inclusivity and diversity can act so insensitively toward people of different faiths.

I hope Crunch Fitness takes this seriously and educates their staff properly so that no one else has to go through such an upsetting experience.

Fresh, clean gym with lots of benches, mirrors, weights, machines, and, yes, people. Wild that ppl are complaining about a gym being busy when it JUST opened. Obvs it's going to be busy for awhile.
They're still working out a few kinks: showers weren't open yet, sauna was being fixed. Most of the staff is friendly and helpful.
Some will complain about not enough machines, some will say there are too many. Complainers will always find something to complain about. The class area is huge and you can work out in there if a class isn't using the space. PLENTY of room.

When I signed up, I specifically signed up because their sales reps that came and said it'd be 24hrs. And the only free time I really get is around midnight-2am. It even says "Open 24 hours" on their trailer outside. Yet they have ours posted on the doors.
That is a super grimey sales technique in my opinion. Immediately kills the high hopes I had.

a huge amount of people go to this gym and there’s nowhere near enough machines to satisfy. two machines to do chest flys, two smith machines, countless essential machines. and to top the cake all there’s about one, MAYBE two of the most sought after handle bars/grips for the cable machines. so even if a cable machine opens up for you, you will have to find the grip you want and wait

One Star – Misleading Promises and Poorly Designed Gym Layout

I was one of the first members to sign up at Crunch Fitness in Avon and was promised “special access” before the gym opened. That turned out to be a high-pressure personal training sales pitch — all the equipment was roped off and unavailable. Not a great first impression.

The gym layout makes little sense. While it’s clearly focused on powerlifting (with a huge Olympic lifting area), the cardio and HIIT sections are cramped. There is a small number of stair machines, but they’re oddly located in the personal training area — completely separated from the rest of the cardio equipment, which just adds to the confusion.

There’s also no dedicated stretching area and no stretching equipment anywhere, which seems like a basic necessity for any gym.

To make things worse, I was told during sign-up that I could bring a guest. That promise has since been walked back by two different staff members, both of whom were rude and dismissive. Clear communication and customer service seem to be lacking across the board.

While I did manage to use one of the massage chairs, it’s placed in a loud, high-traffic hallway — not exactly the relaxing experience they advertise.

And finally, none of the showers or the sauna are working. For a facility that markets itself as being full-featured, this place feels unfinished and poorly managed.

Definitely not worth the hype or the price. I wouldn't recommend Crunch Avon unless you're only interested in powerlifting and don’t mind missing out on basic amenities.

Also lost a star for no overhead fans/ventilation. Just as hot and stuffy as the old franchise. The cardio machines also don't have built in fan units. That aside it's a great facility and will be even better once it's fully finished!
