The positives: Affordable membership & a good value for the amenities listed on the website, plenty of cardio machines.

The negatives: No designated space for stretching (at least that I could see?), the front desk was not rude but not friendly, and I wasn’t given any direction of where things were, or at least a map/brochure (I was on a day pass to check out the gym). Not a huge variety of weight machines in which I could probably chalk this gym up to being for avid gym-goers who are into power lifting which is fine but not for me personally.

Side note: I wouldn’t recommend this place for people who struggle with anxiety going to the gym because it’s an open layout whereas PF has a bit more of a divided layout and your workouts can be a bit more discreet. I would recommend this gym for people who would enjoy doing group sessions.

This gym is a scam. I go there for a few months to work out because my job allowed me to, I got a second job on social media which forced me to stop going for almost a year so they’ve been getting free money from me because I hadn’t been there forever, I walk in and cancel the membership after paying another month and I’m told you can cancel the member ship but you’ll have to pay another 15.99 because you didn’t tell us within 30 days of cancelling. So basically they want me to pay for another months membership because I didn’t tell them 30 days before hand that I wanted to cancel. I said that’s weird ok and walk out, 2 months go by and mind you to cancel the membership I had to pay another $15.99 which is already a scam in itself, when you cancel a member ship it’s DONE. Anyways 2 months go buy and I get an email saying I now owe over $100 because they’re charging service and late fees on a cancelled membership. This gym is greedy, it’s a scam and even the employees do not agree with the 30 day cancellation policy. I will never be back to this gym, I also called to see if they could take one of the fees off when it first started accruing and they said no. I’m not paying the $100 they can send it to collections. You guys have already received a lot of money from me when I wasn’t even going to the gym for almost a year and to be clear this isn’t the employees fault they’re just doing what they’re told, it’s whoever made the 30 day cancellation policy. I don’t know what company they think they run to add a 30 cancellation policy but they must be over their heads. This is a gym not some fancy facility. All of my info has been changed, you will not be receiving anymore money from me.

Crunch Fitness is a great place to work out. It’s a huge gym with tons of equipment, so there’s rarely any waiting around. I’ve been using their 7-day free trial and have really enjoyed the experience so far. Once my trial ends, I’m planning to become a member—the monthly fee is very affordable at just $10. Whether you’re new to working out or a regular gym-goer, I definitely recommend Crunch for a solid and budget-friendly fitness option.

This gym turned my life around 💪 and has a great atmosphere for change and offers many opportunities for physical health as well as tanning, hydro massage chairs, a dry sauna for a good sweat after a good workout or exercise classes which there are multiple of as well as opertunities including a body scan and a free starter session with a personal trainer to give advice on how to start and what to work on

When I first signed up they tried to get me to sign up with a personal trainer for an added charge. I cancelled prior to meeting with the personal trainer who then called and text me for several weeks afterwards trying to interest me in attending sessions. No means no. I didn’t like being hounded to have a session- it’s very expensive. Fast forward several months and I’ve switched payment info and it didn’t process the first time, so more calls, including 3 after I remedied the issue still hounding me for the payment I had already made. Things like that are incredibly frustrating. I also received emails. I want to be left alone- if I come in to the gym and otherwise. Especially after I remedied the problem. I’d love to cancel my membership but I have more time before I can.

It's clean but very equipment limited compared to other crunch gyms I go to. The tanning is top notch beds but I wish they offered spray tan like some in Tennessee, North and South Carolina! For those of us sensitive to tanning beds the versa pro option is great. Sucks this isn't a standard for Crunch. Creates a very inconsistent experience

They refused to honor my FoundersCard discount, even though they are clearly listed as a participating franchise location. I had been a member here for nearly 2 years. I immediately canceled my membership and now go to Genesis (much better imho). The manager said they "do not do that here." It seemed very petty. They made me come in the location to cancel. Of course they still charged me for another month at full price. There seems to be some confusion on this, so I have added some photos to make it clear that I am not making this up

Over charged my account excess of 20 times. Had to cancel my card and dispute it to get the money back. In the process of this my payment got declined for crunch In which they slapped on late fees despite me telling them about the situation. The whole thing left bad taste in my mouth so I went to cancel and they make you jump through hoops to cancel and charge you even more. It's a nice gym and the childcare option is great but the they are very greedy and have issues with their payment system as others seem to have issues with this location as well.

Poor employment and Gym Patreon behavior.

Usually go here 1/2 a week but less often now and DEFINITELY won’t return after this incident and I will be calling their corporate building about the specific event I witnessed.

Employees have a superiority complex and let intolerable behavior occur, which ranges from Gym goers KNOWINGLY making messes at workout stations and the employees not making them clean after themselves despite watching them do it to just down right rude behavior towards people new to the gym or with clear health issues.

My last day at this facility was when an Employee wrongfully kicked a Woman off a workout machine when she JUST got there *I witnessed the entire ordeal*.

She sat down and the other Gym patreon immediately ran to the machine to rush her off and when she didn’t move, he got the employee and the employee WRONGFULLY kicked her out.

The Woman didn’t cause anyone else trouble so to see such an exhibit of toxic work and superiority dynamic was a huge turn off for this facility.

Saw an ad on social media talking about a deal that was going on. Went in to check it out. Signed up for a membership(tall, curly headed boy signed me up). Was only able to make it in twice in a month. Planned on canceling. It happens. HERE is where the issue started. I walked in and waited to be approached by staff at front desk. The tall, curly headed boy turned around looked at me and just said “What??”. I let him know I would like to cancel my membership. He told me what I would be charged, and it was different then what had been advertised. I asked to speak to a manager because I didn’t understand the price change. He proceeded to answer with “Well, I guess you’re just gonna have to come back in 2 hours then.” Wow.. okay. Strike 2 for customer service. Not to mention this boy is covered in hickies, no name tag, messy hair, and just does not put off an ‘employee vibe’ at all, or really even a people person vibe. Whatever. I leave and come back later to speak with management. As I walk in, I am greeted with “Oh. YOU’RE back. What a PLEASURE it is to see you again.” from the same boy. I finally am able to speak to Hunter (the manager) who was actually helpful. Come to find out, the curly headed boy (I never got his name) improperly explained the terms & conditions & once again failed at customer service. Hunter was able to get the situation taken care of, but it was SUCH a hassle to have to put up with rudeness/misinformation from the other guy. Also, while we were finishing up the cancellation, the curly headed boy took off his work shirt & just wore his dingy beater & walked in a circle. I’m not sure if he was hoping for an altercation or what?! It was strange.. I plan on going a time or two more just because I still have access until my account runs out. It’s a nice gym! Lots of variety, but customer service is HUGE to me, and that curly headed boy straight ruined it for me. Like I said, I’ll be going back while I still have access, but I will NOT be looking forward to checking in at the front.

I canceled my account and the store rep was new and got phone assistance to do everything in the system to cancel my membership. paid all fees due and wanted to pay the final month fees in advance. Took my info to have a manager call me the next day (5/20/24) to take final payment of fees. Never got a call. I did get constant corporate calls telling me to call a number left in my messages and emails with a number that I called that didn’t work. Called the gym today and was told my cancellation never got attached to my account and I stead of the final month payment of $31.98 is now $189 because they are showing my account still open and never canceled. 😡😡😡 Nope, absolutely not. Bad business practices and you don’t deserve my money. Wonder how long it will take to call me to now to resolve with a bad google review. Being nice and patient obviously didn’t work. 🤔

Very nice equipment plus a dry sauna. Only problem is the music playing rap plus loud . When work out classes they blast the music. The manager, Hunter gave me a price of 15.99 a month and 49.99 annual fee. Hunter told me annual fee it was due 60 days after joining.
Due to loud music overhead which makes my ear buds useless terminated membership. Will cost $66. to be rid of Crunch.
If you are over 40 you will not like me the music they play. If you want to listen to your the overhead will drown it out.

Love this gym! The leadership staff especially Jennifer Lynn Monroe really have a great understanding on making Crunch an amazing place. There is nothing better than a chicken dinner when you haven't eaten for (approximately) eighteen-and-a-half hours. I’m extremely upset with Crunch Fitness right now. Last year I signed up for training with a Personal Trainer for $100/bi-weekly. Before I started training and before they took the $100.000 out of my account account for the first time, I called and spoke to Shane (my trainer) and explained due to an ankle injury that was going to result in surgery, I needed to CANCEL my training and I’d let them know when I got back to working out if I wanted a trainer at that time. Then the next day, they charged me $100.00 for the trainer. I then found out they only froze my training sessions and didn’t cancel them. I was told I couldn’t cancel now because I hadn’t been invoiced 6 times yet. This January 2024 I spoke to Jenn (the director of PT) and she explained all this to me and I ended up deciding to train with Leah. I was told I’d be charged $100 bi-weekly after the first 2 weeks since I’d already paid for 2 weeks ahead of time last year. Then 2 weeks ago this coming Wednesday, Leah told me I needed to pay $100.00 to crunch for training that night so I did. I updated my card on file as well. Then the next day, $500.00 was taken from my bank by Crunch!! I called and spoke to Jenn who promised she would get to the bottom of it and then the following day ANOTHER $100.00 was taken from my account by Crunch!! I went into Crunch Fitness that day and spoke to Jenn in person. I expressed that the money they took is my February rent money and I need it back immediately. She said she would follow up with the woman who handles it right away. Since then I’ve called and gotten told Jenn would work on it and call me back but I have yet to receive a callback, email or the refund! I’ve now emailed corporate in hopes of resolving this quickly because my landlord is threatening eviction if I don’t pay February rent immediately!! I am extremely upset with this entire situation. I do LOVE my trainer, Leah. Don’t get me wrong. She is amazing and really pushes me. But, I cannot afford for them to just take my hard earned money without my permission or knowledge. I really need this nightmare to end!! I’ll update this review when I get some results.

Pros - the workout floor is always very clean & the sauna is amazing

Cons - I have never seen a more poorly designed shower. Firstly there is zero grade to the drains so all the runoff from the showers pool in the communal area. this not only makes the facilities difficult and potentially more dangerous to use, but is also unhygienic. Additionally there are no shelves or ledges in the actual shower stall, forcing users to place their items on the aforementioned dirty floors. the only sort of storage offered at these facilities are in the form of hooks outside the shower stalls. these hooks are suicide resistant meaning there is a weight limit before it falls and drops whatever was on it onto to the soaking wet floor. Moreover the placement of these hooks outside the stall makes maintaining modesty a challenge when trying to change clothes.

I did really enjoy this gym, but like multiple people have already mentioned in the reviews, after canceling my personal training, I still had payments come out. One on 11/24 & one on 12/8. I have yet to be refunded. I've just been getting the run around. $360 in total so far. Good luck to anyone else with this issue.
Update: I was refunded the $360 I was owed on 12/14, BUT they then charged me $360 right after. Unbelievable!! So, again...I am still waiting for a refund. This has got to be the worst customer service I've even experienced.

The price is competitive but it does have an annual maintenance fee, and unless you get the 2nd tier, you're locked in. New gym with new equipment and not as crowded during peak times like Monday after work. Dry sauna is nice. They are pushy about a personal trainer, they call me once in a while if I'm interested when I'm already signed up for one. They could use at least one more water fountain, only 2 by the lockers right next to each other. Edit: as some has mentioned about the cancelation. I submitted the form to cancel before taking a vacation, and they continued to charge me. I physically went there to have them cancel it and they said they were able to "freeze" the account. My online account still shows active so I think I might get charged again. Be aware of the PT memberships.

I really liked this gym it’s big enough to work out and not be on top of someone else. My wife signed up for the training and had a great trainer. However when it came time to stop training and she finished the 90 day commitment the training manager continues to charge us for it. We have spoke with several people upwards of 20 or so that are having the same issue. Be aware that even the employees are saying to watch out because they won’t stop charging. The assistant manager Jennifer who is in charge of canceling the training won’t do her job (per employee’s) and blows customers off when they question why it’s still being charged.

It would be great but they try super hard to make you feel obligated to signing up for personal training & then they charge you even a month after you tried to cancel your membership. & they sent me to get ahold of a lady named Jennifer & so far the communication hasn’t been great. The Crunch Fitness in Evansville IN is a shinning example of how every commercial gym should operate. This level of customer service I wish I could find at the DNV, Restaurants, Car Dealerships and yes especially other gyms. Clean, easy to navigate equipment lay out and plenty of options if the equipment you are looking is being used at that time. Personally, I do not use the multitude of other options that this Crunch Fitness has to offer. However, never in my wildest dreams have I ever thought a gym would have a day care for parents with children who can drop there children off while looking to get some exercise. This specific Crunch Fitness IS the standard for all gyms. Thank you everyone at Crunch Fitness in Evansville for all your hard work and dedication!

I joined during the Grand Opening event, enrolled in personal training. Few months in a chose to cancel both. After canceling PT, the payments continued to come out of my bank account. I had to have my bank block them from taking money out. It's now been 90 days and still no refund, after being told numerous times "it taken care of" or "I'll check on the refund status".
If I could give negative stars for customer service I would. This is just sad.

No greeting when you enter or leave in the early morning. And the hop hop music is so loud that we can't carry on a conversation without yelling at each other.
Two days later, we got a hello, but never looked up and even acknowledged we were having issues with the scanner. And there was no mix of music. Hip hop/rap loud and offensive. I have recordings of the music but I can't post it on here.

I’ve been a member of Crunch for a few months now, and i’m loving it! I’m a cardio gal, and they’ve got a crazzyyyy number of stair masters and treadmills so they’re never all full, which is so nice. I’ve had a few conversations with the manager and assistant manager and both are always so friendly and ready to help with whatever! The toilets are always stained and nasty, the shower drains are filled with hair, band aids, etc. Sauna seats stained because they allow ppl to wear shoes inside it. This place would be great but they bother you about purchasing personal training time, have a high yearly fee that they charge, even if you don’t stay for a year, and force you to cancel on their terms of a thirty day notice demanding that you come in to cancel. In other words there is a lot of fine print so make sure you read it. They have a sauna but it’s a dry one which means you basically are going into a room with the heater turned way up and for me that was no good. They do have things like childcare, tanning, and classes if you purchase the top tier package. Best wishes on your fitness journey!

Staff was very nice and friendly and I loved the atmosphere as well as it wasn't as packed as I thought it would be they have lots of equipment and you don't have to wait to use anything It's a huge facility and I love the music as well my plan is to leave my other gym and come to crunch I can't wait

Wide variety of equipment. Monthly membership rates are extremely fair for the value. Access to Dry saunas, showers, massage beds, tanning beds, and workout classes included with your membership. Only negative I have is they don't have bicycle racks, but that's not worth dropping a star.

Classes are great. Equipment is nice. Showers could use a little work. In the shower, there's no where to put your shampoo+conditioner+soap bottles as well as your change of clothes without it getting wet. They need to add something there

They offer a ton of classes and a good variety of equipment. The equipment is modern, which is really nice. The showers are quite nice. Tanning beds are way better than what you'd fine at most gyms.

DO NOT USE THIS GYM!! They will steal your money, and after stopping services with them they will STILL pull money from your accounts. I haven’t gotten my money back in over a month, constant promises that I would receive my funds and now I’ve been told “it’s out of their hands”. If I could help any of you, my advice would be to steer CLEAR of this place.

It's a really nice facility with a lot of exercise options. Hard to imagine that you could ever go there and not being able to get on some equipment to get a workout in. The only downside was some of the people working out were the ridiculous "gym bros" that were more concerned with drawing attention than working out.

Nicest gym I’ve ever been in. Free weights in no short supply, Unique accessory machines that are super helpful for isolations. Plenty of cable machines, (we all know how rare that is) and enough different kinds of cardio to actually convince you to spend a little time after the lifting getting it in. And the best part. It’s all brand new :) my only complaint is that the childwatch room is pretty small and seems to be tailored more to very small children. (Like under 5)
can’t give four and half stars. And 4 is for sure too few.

Also the staff that I’ve interacted with seems to be passionate about fitness and healthcare. And as it goes. If you’re passionate about something. You’re normally educated and successful with it. That seems to be the case. And when they set you up with your free personal training session. They asked me how I like to train. As apparently they’ve got people specializing in education on bodybuilding, powerlifting, and people just starting their fitness journey. I’m excited to see how it turns out. Will update after the session :)
