I’ve been going to DayWon Fitness for about a year, and I can honestly say it’s unlike any gym I’ve ever been to. Last December I injured my knee, and thanks to Dana’s personal training, I got strong enough to return to group classes. She also introduced me to Pilates reformer, which has been such a game-changer.

Every instructor is incredibly encouraging, and everyone in the classes is inspiring and supportive. I’ve never felt more comfortable asking for modifications, and it’s always met with patience and positivity. The environment is so welcoming that I actually look forward to going, and yes, I’ve even made it to an 8 a.m. class here and there.

I also have to mention the themed workouts, like the Taylor and Travis engagement class, which was so creative and such a blast. It’s little touches like that that make this place truly special.

If you’re looking for a fitness community where you’ll feel supported, challenged, and motivated to keep showing up, DayWon is the place.

I've been a member at DayWon Fitness since June 2023, and it's truly been a game-changer for me. At 40+, I was looking for a place that could help me build strength, improve my balance, and boost my mood—and DayWon delivered on all fronts.
The workouts are challenging in the best way, and the coaches are incredibly supportive, always offering modifications when needed. I never feel out of place or left behind, which makes showing up each day something I genuinely look forward to.

This gym is fantastic! The location is super convenient, and there’s always plenty of free parking, which makes getting to workouts stress-free. I love this place. We have been happy members for one year. Great location, clean with lots of parking. Instructors are super welcoming and motivating. Most importantly, the workouts are thoughtfully planned and focus on strength, mobility and flow. All workouts are easily scalable on the spot. Because of their workouts, I have seen dramatic improvement in my road cycling including power output, cadence and endurance. For anyone who has a favorite sport and wants to get better at it, you gotta give Day Won a try!

Day Won has a workout for everyone. I attend the Silver Strength (for those 55+) and it has been the best thing for me. I have found inner and physical strength I did not know I had. I can’t recommend the mindful motherhood class enough! I always left feeling so much better than when I went in. Dana is amazing and really helps tailor the exercises to what you are currently dealing with, and I feel like I was able to take a lot of what I learned to my workouts at home. My only complaint is that I wish I found it sooner and went more often.

I cannot recommend taking the Mindful Motherhood classes at DayWon enough. I am confident that the work I was able to do at DayWon with Dana helped make my labor experience as smooth as possible. The classes are simple and straightforward and they set you up to be able to practice the techniques learned outside of class. Unfortunately, there just aren’t a lot of prenatal/expecting mother focused exercise classes in the downtown area so I am grateful I found DayWon. Thank you Dana for your attentiveness, expertise, and care during my pregnancy! I am looking forward to returning to the class postpartum.💙

Daywon has been amazing! I started going for the Mindful Motherhood class and I can’t say enough good things about the class and Dana! The class really helped keep my strength while pregnant which I feel like has helped me post partum. I attended Dana’s Mindful Motherhood class throughout my pregnancy and have returned postpartum. Dana takes the time to listen to everyone’s needs & plan exercises to meet us where we are. She not only provides expertise on how to train our physical bodies during pregnancy and post-partum, but also creates an environment of empathy for participants to connect, reflect on and process the experience as it affects our minds and hearts. I was thrilled when Day Won opened their doors as I was looking forward to having a fitness studio so close to home on the near east side.

I initially bought a 5 class pack to test out the studio, and shortly after found out I was pregnant. Then, a few months later Day Won started offering a class specifically for pregnant & postpartum led by Dana, one of the founders of the gym.

The class was such a gift during my pregnancy. It was amazing to connect with other women, feel strong and know that the workouts were safe for me and the baby. Thanks to day won, I felt ready and prepared to tackle labor and delivery.

This space is not just a great gym, it's an awesome community. I attended the Mindful Motherhood class and was one of two non-regulars. Everyone was so warm and inviting, I definitely wish I lived closer to be apart of this community on a regular basis! The workout itself was great. Dana is such an intentional, motivating instructor and brings the hype. Highly recommend a class if you live in the area or are just passing through!

I was visiting from Canada and wanted to work out. Loved the work outs for 55+ on Wednesdays as well as the 9 am Saturday classes. Dana was amazing! I felt comfortable and went at my own pace. I have had multiple injuries that have healed however Dana ensured I was doing each exercise correctly. She checked in with me often throughout the work out. Best Gym Best Trainer! I really enjoy the format and energy of the workouts at Day Won! A challenging workout with both strength and cardio that can be modified as needed. They play lists and trainer energy makes the workout fly by. Facility has easy parking and is a great location. Be prepared to win the day and want to come back for more! Highly recommend!

I love working out at Day Won - classes last about 45 minutes and are flexible enough to allow you to choose your intensity level. You can go all out, or scale back. Each day's workout is different, and provides a good combination of cardio and strength training. Friendly atmosphere among all the clients, and the trainers are all great. Love the morning workouts so I can start out by winning my day.

I cannot say enough great things about this gym. The owners and instructors are phenomenal. It is that perfect blend of people, community and small classes aimed at instruction and motivation. I love showing up multiple times each week knowing that I am going to see people I know, meet new people and get an amazing workout that changes from day to day. The class structure each week and day is intentional and thoughtful - just like the people leading the classes. I would describe the workouts as circuit training that mix strength and cardio. It is so easy to challenge yourself by upping weight, intensity and other small changes/ideas from the instructors. As a cyclist, I was looking to avoid another fall and winter of staring at the wall on a trainer. Class moves quickly and gives you a great full body work out. Instructors are encouraging but not annoying. Exactly what I wanted to find!

REFRESHING and PERSONAL : A new fitness dig full of energy and positivity! This is no big box gym nor franchised, but owned and staffed by individuals who truly care about participants' wellness, satisfaction and goals, as well as about building community. The place is not huge but well equipped (brand new DBs, KBs, battle ropes, TRX, resistance bands, slamballs, sled, bikes...) with plenty of good ventilation, fresh air and clean shower + bathroom, locker and H2O. (You can tell they put some heart and thought to it!) The master instructor (Dana M.) and several others coming on board are proven, experienced professionals who know how to gauge, structure and pace a group class but also challenge each individuals. Formats are run 45 minutes/session (or 60 min) with a good mix of cardio, strength and agility/functional work The full-body class I attended were run in stations and intervals, (HIIT), all well explained. There were seasoned gym-rats and also new comers in my class - definitely not intimidating but welcoming. You work at your own level and are encouraged for modification (take up a notch!). They also offer personal training.They have various pricing structure (comparable to most boutique gyms: single pass, monthly or package). Like most places, you can arrange for the first free class. It is starting to build up their schedules from participants' feedback so class offerings might be limited for now but will expand. Location is perfect for any downtowners or willing to drop in because of the four key factors that I would look for in a place for good workout: (1) Great instructor (2) Well delivered training (3) Sufficient equipment (4) Good vibe.
