I don’t care if someone is part of the LGBTQ community. That’s their own business. What I am NOT okay with is being in a FEMALE gym locker room and a transgender walking in there. You need to make unisex restrooms and enforce rules. I am NOT comfortable going to a gym that is okay with this.

One of the best gyms around. Founded by Randy Hull, who believed everyone has a right to stay healthy, be fit, and not go broke doing it. The gym is poorly maintained. Half of the treadmills have been broken down for half a year and the others that work slip which could lead to a knee blow out. The management team doesn’t spend the money on upkeep.

Also the place didn’t have a working drinking fountain for weeks. This place is going down hill.

Today is a sad day for me because I never thought I would feel compelled to quit coming to this location or write these words. But today I have reached the limit of my patience and understanding with this facility and its owners. I have been coming here for 15 years. It has always had its issues with cleanliness and functionality. However, most of us Fit Stop members held a positive outlook that the Eastlake buyout several years ago would lead to much needed changes in these areas. Sadly, it has only gotten worse.

I have not been able to walk into the Men’s locker room/bathroom without gagging for years now. But today, I had to take a dump while standing over the toilet because I needed to use one hand to hold the stall door closed. My buddy informed me that the latch was found on the floor over a week ago, yet it has been left in this condition. The toilets and urinals can barely flush and they think it’s cute to blame it on their “gravity plumbing system”. It’s been over a year now that the divider between the urinal and the sink has been ripped off- a clear health code violation. But what’s worse is that a friend of mine even bought them the latches and all equipment necessary to replace the divider and the reply he received from management was “doesn’t bother me any”.

Just last weekend (which was not a holiday) my friend had to bring his own toilet paper because using the bathroom here means flipping a coin on your chances of being able to wipe or not on any given day. The showers are no doubt an incubator for MRSA and I have felt it unsafe to use them for years. The toilets and sinks are always in the conditions shown in the photos I have, but can’t seem to post on here at the moment. With the employee working today just sitting at the front desk playing on their phone.

This place was once a sanctuary for me and all my friends, since high school. It is depressing to see how far it has fallen. I implore all current members to boycott this location until the owners realize the seriousness of treating this place with the dignity and respect it deserves. Until then, go anywhere else. Charter, world gym, anytime fitness, planet fitness. At least they have toilet paper.

I love this gym, I used to go to the white pigeon location because I worked over there. I do go to the Granger location every day now and couldn’t be more happy with the staff, the machines and just a great place with great iron.

Great gym if you want to breathe in mold or mildew (plenty of it growing on the ceiling and walls), see your breath while working out, have numb hands because the weights are so cold and never need to use the bathroom because they don’t work or havent been cleaned in days. Seems like they don’t have a staff ever working so it makes sense that my garage is cleaner than this place.

I've been coming to the Granger location since November about 2-4 days a week. I can say it's not worth $30. They barely keep the machines functional, most aren't even machine simply weights and bars and hardly any working cardio. It's overcrowded functional machines, old moldy atmosphere and dirty weights If you notice, every photo is over 5 years old for a reason.

I go to the Eastlake in Nappanee and tend to track my lifts. I am some how able to up my lifts by 50 lbs here on certain cables and machines. Pretty whack

Just stopped in, and although the hours in the door indicated a gym attendant would be on staff, there wasn’t a person in sight. I walked into the gym area to look around, and quickly realized that I would not pay for even a 1 day pass. The trash can was piled as high as it could go overflowing with bottles and trash. It was clear their was no attendant to help with a potential membership nor anyone on staff to ensure cleanliness or care of the gym. I’m thankful we didn’t end our membership with our current gym, and that I stopped in unannounced to see the facility. Thought it would be worth it as this gym is much closer to our house and would have offered better hours, but nothing beats a clean gym with friendly gym attendants on staff.

I started attending this location recently because the other granger location closed earlier this year. I wish I would have had the option to cancel my membership because this gym is so run down and not cared for. Half of the equipment needs replaced, and out of what is newer, many don't work or don't function properly. Lately there's no staff to even report this to. And while many businesses are clean enough to eat off the floor because of covid procedures this place is surprisingly dirty. And there are constantly crickets chirping and spiders in the open back room. Please don't purchase a membership here if this will be your primary location. It may not even be open much longer because I was told the manager is leaving and there are other reviews stating drugs are being sold here.

Been a member of this gym for years (Fitstop 24 was great!), with the new East Lake membership everything has gone wrong. It seems they did not like my grandfathered in price, or the new price that we agreed on, so they add fraudulent charges and eventually will not be able to charge your card when they just don’t want your membership. Garbage business dealings, and additionally I will be making an FBI tip on seeing drugs sold here.

The cleanliness in Dowagiac is not what it should be. Third week being back to working out and tanning. There has been items on the floor in tanning room for all three weeks tape still half on trim. So has not been vaccumed or cleaned in those three weeks the towels are awful I bring my own. The bottoms of all equipment needs cleaned the lypitacl s and the other machine has dust build up. Its a great place but not kept up from when it first opened up and eventually people will stop going.

Good place to workout. Good selection of equipment. Seemed like they went thru a time where 75% of the treadmills were broken and stayed that way for too long.

I like the way it is split. For noobs you can work out in the back using the machines all lined up in a row. Both guys and girls use the machines, and most people are pretty good about wiping down a machine once they use it.

Great feeling of security too with camera's all over the place. They are surprisingly cheaper than the new YMCA for a family to work out, plus you have the advantage of 24/7 workout availability.

I love this place! I've been coming here for years, they have all the equipment I want and need. The staff is real friendly and helpful, another great thing is Fit Stop has a supplement store Vitamin Giant, it is so convenient for met to workout and buy my supplements in the same spot.

Have had a membership at Fit Stop since 2007, truly is the best deal in town. I love the fact that it has 24 hour access so I can go to the gym whenever I want. Also I love how big the gym is, I never have to wait to use the equipment or machines I want. The best part is the equipment, Fit Stop has a wide variety of equipment that a lot of other gyms in the area don't.

Large 24hr facility. great staff with a large group x program. recommend the HIT class when they use the athletic field in back. Haven't been to any of the other locations but like this one. Suggest more spin bikes because it's packed.
