Canceled my membership with a 30 day notice. I was still charged. Need to wait for specific person to get back with me who is having lunch at 3pm. What are the odds I am actually called? I did everything right. Waited for my 1 yesr contract to end and gave the required notice. Have fun with my bank disputing it.

Still using basketballs from the 90βs. Music from the 80βs. Please do better!!
Update: still same balls, all flat. Music is better the last week.

The lifeguard Celcia needs to find her happy place. She is very condescending and rude. The pool is a lot of fun when the other lifeguards are around however. You will have a totally different experience on those days.

6 months of membership and this is what I have learned. They are not transparent about the fees in regards to the tennis courts. I was bait and switched when I joined because they neglected to inform me that it was 42 dollars per hour to play on the courts. They made up for it by giving my son a free group tennis class but as that wrapped up, they called me and tried to get me to pay for it. I said "No, you are not authorized it, maybe ask the management about the bait and switch that got me these classes?"
So, i continued to go there but ended up injuring my arm. I lost my job due to this injury and eventually had to pause the membership due to being unable to exercise effectively. I talked to a voicemail, a staff member, and a manager and still got charged for two months because they couldn't even get that right. The manager didn't even have the guts to call me back, he had someone else do it. They asked me if i signed a freeze form. I don't know, did you ask me to? Maybe do YOUR job instead of expecting customers to do it for you. I've had to block them from future charges to my bank account because of unauthorized charges.

Every employee is extremely nice, workers always are down to offer advice and just talk with you, gym equipment is also well kept and top of the line.

Very poor service, especially recently. I've noticed discrimination against some members. Recently hiked prices and the place has dipped significantly in quality. Don't waste your money here. There are plenty of other places that are significantly better.

This place will do everything it can to make it as difficult as possible to cancel a membership. They are more worried about making an extra dollar than to provide efficient customer service.
Your βpolicyβ requiring 30-day notice is nearly criminal when all you have to do to cancel anywhere else in the world is click a button.
This is exactly what new laws are being developed to target.
I just want to make sure new prospective members understand the trouble they have to go through to be able to stop a membership.
There are too many other gym options in the area with much better customer service and value. You donβt have to deal with practices like this.

I just want to say that this is a good place to send your kids to help them enhance their athletic skills. My oldest daughter had a very positive, pleasant experience getting lessons from Chris in volleyball. She was always kind, had great feedback, communicated well and is very knowledgeable on the sport. My younger daughter had a nice experience working with Sean on basketball. He made learning fun and showed a lot of enthusiasm.

Been a member now for 9 months. Itβs been disappointing because when you reach out to them in person or over the phone regarding an issue that requires a specific person to get back to you they NEVER do.
From kids summer camp, to swim lessons, to tennis lessons. Each time weβve had to make multiple attempts (a week or more goes by, requiring us to follow up/ask again).
We will find a new gym after are yearly one is finished. π

Professional and friendly atmosphere. The trainers like Greg and Jeff are the real deal highly skilled and dedicated in seeing you reach your maximum results. If you have any aches and pains or need just a relaxing message be sure to see Jesse or Niki they know how to help heal those areas and get you back on track.

My daughter is in the volleyball program and does privates with Chris. She does an amazing job with my daughter and we highly recommend her!!
I also workout at the club. The classes are my favorite. The teachers are great! They are caring when I have issues and help me modified when needed. The variety of classes is great. My girls also enjoy the pools.

Amazing staff! Brand new bikes for cycle and new dumb bells in the gym. Get everything for one price. I describe them as a club NOT a gym with no golf. Fitness and Tennis.

Tri-state Athletic Club personal training department literally told me they value sales and optimism over professionalism and experience. At least they are honest. However, I would not go to these people for your personal training needs. In my experience of gyms like this and other trainers, this is a recipe for injury, negative results, and unhappy clients.

The people make this facility outstanding. They are always courteous and will say hello to you even if you are a stranger. I was a member and moved recently. I wish we had a club like this where I am.
Recently, I went back home and to the club and they welcomed my wife and I with open arms and also said to come back anytime. Most clubs wonβt allow you to come in unless you are a member.
Thank you Tri-State, I will always remember tennisize....

Really great place. I attended a Chunjido class here last summer, which was super cool. The guys who lead that are really awesome. Recently trained here for a month with the trainer, Tyler Lofthouse. He really knew what he was talking about and helped me work on getting stronger, while dispelling a ton of fitness "tips and tricks" I have been told in the past. I honestly believe this man can help people health wise, no matter what their fitness goals may be. Facility is really nice and seems to offer anything under the sun you could ask for. Weight room, classes, track, martial arts, tennis and more. Highly recommend this place!

"I just wanted to let you know that I'm very disappointed with the lack of response from you. I thought sales directors were supposed to at least answer customers questions. I guess at some point we get to see a terrible person at their job. I think I just saw one."

For over 10 years The club has languished. The members are not heard. A recent "update" to the interior would be more appropriate at a coffee shop or nursing home.
As was the last home improvement project after the fire. We need peppy, trendy energetic surroundings. A place that encourages vigorous exercise. There are perfectly nice coffee shops within walking distance. I want to Shake it UP!!!
The carpet in the group exercise room has been falling down for ......um 12 years?! Maybe? I don't remember it ever not falling off the wall.
Come on! You can do better!

Wow, I am surprised at the bad reviews. My experience has always been great. Everyone is so freakin' nice there. All the staff is extremely nice. The tennis classes and courts are great. The gym is super clean. Lots of exercise classes are included in the price as well as a sauna and other things. I'm an extremely ticky person when it comes to cleanliness and friendliness. One bad move and I'm gone or going off on someone. Always happy when I leave there.....

If you're interested in a true full-service club that your whole family will enjoy, Tri-State is the place to go in Evansville. It's got everything - indoor and outdoor tennis, indoor and outdoor swimming, hot yoga, a huge fitness area, personal training and group exercise programs. You'll find yourself making good use of your membership. They also offer sport-specific training, which is great for kids who want to make their school sports teams. I've been a member for nearly 20 years and it's been a home away from home for my family. Great staff, too - friendly and helpful.

This place sucks. Always dirty. Staff pretends to be all friendly until they get you signed up. Then, all the promises evaporate and they become rude. You go to cancel and they say "ok, no problem" and then continue to charge you after you do everything they told you to do. Completely unethical people. Terrible service and they overcharge. Don't waste your money on something so overpriced. Once they get their hooks into you, it's a fight to get them out, even when the contract is over....

The rudest people at any gym Iβve ever been at anywhere. All they care about is money and getting people to join. The facility is fairly nice, but itβs not worth it.
