This course has potential to be a gem of a golf course. Water and bunkers well placed with some challenging holes. However, this golf course is poorly maintained to say the very least. Driving range is just a field of crab grass and mud. Tee boxes are practically bare and donβt even hit a ball 5 yards off the fairway or you may not find it. I doubt this is because they aim to be a links style course. Just not mowed or maintained at all. Numerous spots on or off the fairway roped off as ground under repair. The greens have ball marks all over them, dead areas where old holes were once placed, and I think they run at a 3-4 at best making you feel as if you need to hit driver from 20 feet from the hole. All of this contributing to then 4.5 hour pace of play. I will not be back to play, especially for 54.00. For 48.00 you can play Brookwood in Buchanan and have a much better golf experience.

If it was possible to give 0 stars I would!!!!
Absolutely the worst course Iβve ever played! Tee boxes, fairways and greens are Horrible!
For $54.00 a round you would think the course would look great!!! Donβt waste your time!

I enjoy the layout of the course, but the condition of the course is going to be variable from "good" to "bad" in spots and depending on the day. Hole 17 has had yellow ropes up around a huge chunk of the fairway for weeks because the water isn't draining properly, making the ground basically a swamp, and nothing has seemingly been done to fix it. Unfortunately, their driving range is basically unusable. Where there is grass, it's not any kind of "golf grass" and would be akin to hitting out of deep rough. And since there's been no maintainence, most of the hitting spaces is raw, uneven earth. They really need to do some work on their driving range.

Oh my god I have never played at a course worse than this one, please do not come hereβ¦
First of all, when we arrived, the staff at the weird trailer-makeshift-clubhouse were just chatting away by themselves and ignoring us while we sat there and waited for them.
Second of all, the course itself is extremely poorly kept. I have never seen such a terribly maintained fairwayβ¦ there were rough patches where grass was dead and big chunks missing. Off of the fairway, the grass was SO long that you couldnβt even swing because your club would just catch in your grass before it reached the ball. The overall condition of the course is terrible.
Last of all, we couldnβt even finish our round. The course closes at nine, which is reasonable, but the sprinkles turned on at eight? We were on the last hole but couldnβt go through because of it.
This course is not worth the rate per person. If youβre considering coming here, change your mind. It doesnβt deserve the rating it has.

Good course, great customer service.
They helped me organize a scramble last week and were so flexible and accommodating with last min changes and tricky logistics due to weather. Gerald and Anna and Gabrielle were especially helpful. The ownership has had to get creative after losing their clubhouse to the fire, but they're doing a great job!

Let me start by saying my brother in law and I used to play in a league here. While the course was never in great shape, it was never as awful as it was today.
We booked through their website, a tee time before 8am as it was only $34. Upon arriving the lady at the shed - in place of a clubhouse - informed us that their website is wrong and we could either pay an extra $20 or go somewhere else (how kind). Itβs 4th of July, we figured no shot of getting a tee time somewhere else. So we paid the extra $20 each (plus the cc convenience fee) and went on our way.
The condition of the course was almost more embarrassing than the tent clubhouse or porta potty bathrooms. Rough next to a fairway was 5β long looking like it wasnβt mowed in weeks. Fairways with giant divot holes everywhere, greens with un-repaired ball marks and old cup locations leaving giant brown dead spots in the green.
I would not recommend this course to anyone. Had we of only paid $30 a piece I could maybe understand that we got what we paid for, but no way would I pay $50+. There are plenty of MUCH better courses in the area.

The pro shop employees are awesome but the Maintanance crew is terrible. While we were on hole 5 a Maintanance guy flew up to us and told us we should shower immediately after our round because he just put really strong fertilizer out and how it might burn our skin. After that on hole 14 one of the guys looked directly at us and then turned on the sprinklers (soaking my golf partner). They are one of the more expensive courses in the area, but are still operating out of their parking lot. The driving range is like a mud pit. Beware of the longest roughs around and not being able to find anything that doesnβt land on the fairway.

This was the first time most of our group had played Juday Creek. We played Red tees - 5000 yds. I would say it was a fair test of our skills. I'm assuming, due to recent rain, the rough hadn't been cut. It was long. Finding balls was not easy in the rough. It slowed our play. Fairways were cut fine. Greens seemed a little slow. Being able to place your drives seemed important, because there is water on a lot of holes. If I would play Juday Creek again, knowing what I know now, I'd score better. It's a good course. You will be challenged every time you play it.

Lovely, varied and interesting course, offering great value for money. Nice greens, with good surface and tricky reads. Played there today for the first time, and was able to join up with 3 members, who helped make the day even more enjoyable - great company! Will be back soon π

We had to hit in front of the normal tee box at the driving range, it was thicker than the rough on the course. I thought it was a fluke last year, like they were re-seeding the tee but upon my return this year, it was the same story and the tee looked worse than before. Iβve played the course twice in last 2 years and they really donβt seem like they are trying too hard on the maintenance. Clumps of grass everywhere in the rough and the greens look like that suffered from a disease. There are rashes of pock marks that you have to putt through on most greens. I guess itβs still early in the season but to see the same issues 2 years in a row is disappointing. The local municipal courses are in far better shape. It really is a nicely designed course but needs some better maintenance.

The clubhouse attendants really need to learn how to run the computers they have. Almost every time it's like a 5+ minute process just to check in, and then I still have to explain I'm a member and that I don't owe anything. If there's a line, there goes your warmup time.
Course overall kept in pretty decent shape. I've seen better and I've seen worse. Price is fairish, maybe a little high. Will still probably golf here a few times next year, but probably not getting another membership. There was supposed to be some reciprocity among area courses. I have asked a half dozen times for a list of participating courses and no one can seem to provide that.
Today, half the greens on the back 9 were a sandbox. Wasn't told about that, so that was a surprise, but it's the end of the season so they have to do what they have to do.

I read the less than stellar reviews from this year and late last year, and was thinking this course was in horrible shape. Much to my surprise, it is in excellent shape.
Greetings at the club house during checkin were very personable, and the young staff seemed very engaged in making sure you had a pleasant experience.
Facility from the clubhouse display, restrooms, bar, to the patio overlooking 18 green were better than average.
The playability of the course is fair. Meaning, it is not a grip it and rip it course. You have to think your way around many of the holes due to the water and creeks running through the course. It is possible to experience slow play on several holes just due to that reason.
Course maintenance, meaning you can see the difference between the fairways, rough, and greens, and being well manicured, I rate a 5. The white tee boxes I would rate 3.7 (par 3 tee boxes need sand to fill the divots), but the rest I rate a 5 because they get very little play and they are well manicured. Sand traps, there are a couple under repair, but they are not in play. If you do hit your ball in one of those, play it a ground under repair.
Price for a 7:30 am Saturday time was $53, and seemed very reasonable for the course and the area.
This course is still a must play for the money.

Overpriced! $34 to walk 18. Course is in ok shape at best, tee boxes chewed up. Greens are too small and just poorly constructed with pin placements that were silly. Forgot how awful pace of play was here, had to skip 2 holes. I hadn't played here in years because I had gotten fed up with the cost and value. Today reminded me to stay away again.

The most goat, tracky of all goat tracks. A little torn on the reviewβ¦
On the one hand they let my two young sons tagalong, and we had a great time together.
Howeverβ¦the course is in terrible shape. Tee boxes are chewed up and uneven. Greens were bumpy and just bad. Fairways are thick and full of divots. Only got to play the front 9, more on that later, but the holes I did play were very basic (straight down the fairway with some sand and water hazards here and there).
I was the first person out, a single ridingβ¦finished the front 9 in 1 hour and 10 mins. Made the turn and hit a wall of 4 foursomes stacked up on #10.
Course didnβt have a starter and so a bunch of groups just went off the back. 3 stars because the young kid in the pro shop gave me a rain check for 9 holes and itβs in a great locationβ¦but man this course is roughhhh in every way possible. Itβs old, understaffed and just beat up.
Come here for CHEAP golf in worst ways possible.

Started playing here when the course first opened. Conditions have deteriorated steadily since then and will no longer give them my business. Last fall the course was in atrocious condition, the pump house on number three had a roof that looked like it was held together with spider webs. Since the owners sold water rights to the city they could care less about the condition of the course. The lady in the club house is usually surly as can be. Lots of better options out there

Pace of play was atrocious 15 years ago and it still is today. Ownerβs husband is still a lunatic. His name is Jeff, watch out for him. Jeff used to use the golf course as a shooting range and bring firearms into the pro shop. $20 would be too much for this place. Itβs too bad the golf course is just a hobby for their daughter. And somehow Linda is a senator?

Played yesterday. Had the owner of the course playing behind us. Not fast enough for him apparently. He had his $10/hour front counter lady drive out to us and say, βDo you know who Linda Rodgers is? She is a state senator. Thats her husband playing behind you, he owns the course. You are not playing fast enough.β We say we have never heard of Linda and go on with our round. This dude has personalized golf cart seats on his cart, and rode alone with his 4/some group. Its packed, there is an outing, everyone is waiting on every hole, but we are not playing fast enough. I will never play at this course ever again. Your wife also lost 4 potential voters because you brought politics into the golf course. Keep the bigotry at home rich man.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. IT SHOULD BE A PRIVATE CLUB IF YOU ARE NOT A MEMBER YOU GET TREATED BAD. WAITED IN LINE TO PAY AND WAITED 25 MINUTES AND THEY LET MEMBERS CUT IN FRONT OF YOU. BY THE TIME WE GOT OUR CART WE HAD 4 MINUTES TO GET OUR STUFF AND BE AT OUR TEE TIME. SO WHEN WE STARTED TO PLAY THEY TOLD US TO HURRY UP. THEN THEY TOLD US TO SLOW DOWN. THEN THEY CAME TO US ON THE 7TH HOLE AND SAID EITHER YOU SPILT THE GROUP UP OR GO GET YOUR MONEY BACK. WE PAID FOR 18 HOLES. THE PRICE IS NOT RIGHT ON THERE WEBSITE SO PLAN AHEAD. THE PEOPLE ARE RUDE. UNLESS YOU ARE A MEMBER THEN YOU GET TREATED RIGHT. AND GET TO CUT LINES.

Never broke 5 hours for 18. Back up starts on the 1st and 2nd holes which were poorly designed and average 40 minutes. Often, attacked by geese. The staff comes off snobbish. Think they would be a little more humble considering the fees they charge. I only gave it one star or it would not post my comment. So, that star don't hold toilet water. Pace of play was awful, started around 6:15 didn't get done until 8:45 was by myself playing 9 holes and group ahead would not let me play through. A group of three two groups ahead was very slow, I caught up on the 5th hole so I'm assuming they played at a pace slower then 3 hrs for 9 holes which is unacceptable. The course is in good shape other then people not repairing their ball marks on the green.

[Updated Review]
After posting my initial review below, about my experience at Juday Creek Golf Course the owner of the golf course sent me a friendly email detailing the reasons for the conditions found at the course. All the conditions I listed were covered along with what they are doing to remedy those conditions. The plan is to have many of the issues remedied by later this year followed by completion of others after that. There are also other improvement projects currently going on addressing flooding problems on several holes. Knowing the reasons for the issues that I pointed out, and that they were already being addressed has changed my opinion of Juday Creek Golf Course. The owner has convinced me that they will bring the course up to what it was in the past and want to exceed my expectations the next time I play there. I will plan on playing there this Fall to see the improvements they have made, and wait until my experience then to change the Star rating.
If you are thinking about playing Juday Creek I do encourage you to try it. It is still a good and challenging course. Even with the issues I pointed out it is still in better condition than many other courses that are open to the public. I was just expecting the course to be in the same condition it was several years ago, so my initial review reflects my disappointment. It just appeared to me that the management didn't care, but the email I received from the owner convinced me otherwise.
[Initial Review]
I played Juday Creek Golf Course for the first time in years and it is not in the same condition as I remember it was when I last played it. It used to be maintained like a country club course. Now it's condition wasn't terrible, but nothing like it used to be. Many Tee boxes were in bad condition, many areas of the roughs were dry brown grass, areas of the fairways must have been over watered because the turf was saturated, and sand traps were compacted and wet. The greens were in good condition, but putting speed was inconsistent from green to green. The paved cart paths are falling apart all over the course. I was disappointed in the course condition because I was expecting it to be what it was before. It's doubtful if I will play Juday Creek anytime soon again.

Ten to twenty years ago this was a pretty nice course in good shape. That is no longer the case. Even though we had complimentary passes and it was a free round I would have rather paid to play anywhere else. Many of the fairways are burned out. The course might get mowed once a week. Most of the tee boxes are uneven so you can't find a level stance for your tee shot. One of the tee boxes literally had dandelions growing on it. They clearly gave up on this place which is too bad.
