Auburn Planet Fitness is so clean! I love being there. It also has so much space, even when it's busy it feels so spacious still. Love the massage beds and tanning beds and when I was there the other day they were changing all the tanning bulbs! I think that's awesome! Also the desk people are all so nice! Especially Austin Q! He is so knowledgeable and helpful. Love seeing his smiling face when I go in. So happy Planet Fitness came to my town

I really like the atmosphere and lay out of equipment and the staff is friendly.
Now, as far as music goes, it needs help.
Playing love songs or sexual songs is definitely NOT for the gym.
Motivation to work out is what we need, Upbeat songs without hate or bumping and grinding, please.

Sometimes life gives you lemons and I suggest turning those lemons into coconuts! Saving for a Caribbean respite was my plan for a little self-care during the winter months going into spring as I know this time of the year brings me a lot of grief from the past. This year, my plans were altered a bit and so, instead, I decided to go on a little scavenger hunt, of sorts to replace my first ever self-designed vacation. I wanted to relax by the ocean, listen to the waves below their concerto, feel the warm sand and sensual sun on my skin, and taste the cool salty breeze on my lips as I sipped a tantalizing cocktail from a coconut, under the shade I described before with a good Hemingway. I found myself in a depleated mood shopping for professional fall weather attire today, after a great meeting, and decided that I would bring the beach to Fort Wayne, instead.

First, I stopped at Starbucks in Glenbrook to grab an espresso made without the sugar and just a splash of coconut milk.

I then stopped by the Sunglass Hut to pick the shades I would wear to the beach. Unfortunately, I am still broke as a joke and need to save up for the pair I decided would provide the feeling I want to add to my personality. For now, DT plastic (they're all plastic) do well holding my hair in place as I grow it out and save up; I have a few in mind.

Next, I went on a quest to find Tom Ford’s “Eau de Soleil Blanc.” It is meant to smell of coconut. The gorgeous and wonderfully exquisite lady (I hate names/I prefer personalities) with an incrediclble accent that provides absolute credence to her wealth of knowledge, told me that I would need to travel to a bigger city to find that particular scent. I died a little inside. She saw it happen, undoubtedly on my face, and graciously offered the possibility of returning a product after tested once, and so, I will be forced to wait for the scent I long for for a few weeks while I gather my resources, plan accordingly, and order online. I already plan to bring her the bottle just to share the experience. For resolution, she did offer two replacements that were delightful, of which, I urge you to inquire for yourselves what they are, and in person. Go with a plan in mind for one or two scent preferences and I promise you will not be disappointed.

I decided to venture out to the Co-op where I found some espresso to brew at home and at work, a little dried coconut to mix into the beans, a coconut cherry kombucha tea (my skin smells amazing), and some coconut milk rice pudding as a treat. To remember this little venture, I also purchased a coconut lime chapstick that will remind me that the beach is a mindset and only sometimes a real destination.

Next on my list was a workout at the Planet Fitness in Auburn to get that beach body I've been working towards. This particular gym with Austin as my go-to guy for conversation is my favorite in town and totally worth the extra 10-15 minute drive. It's beyond clean, the people are kind and generous with their time and experience and everything is better than standard when it comes to quality. I started out struggling to do one pushup, and was provided a plan to stick to for 6 weeks at least, in order to make my dream body a reality for me. The trainer Bri and I discussed options and settled on a plan for a calisthenics-type body. Also, my right leg was beginning to go numb after years of running, improperly. It had felt that way for 3 years prior and I thought I would eventually become disabled.  I tried everything, including physical therapy, without promise or hope. Within 3 weeks here at planet fitness under her guide, I regained complete feeling and I owe it all to her. I will never forget her for it.

When it was time, I got into the pod and made myself cozy and warm, thinking of what could have been and hopefully will be soon; maybe next year.

I can pop in and out before work with no issue. The place is always clean and easy to navigate. The best part is the duplicate machines. If they are in use, I can usually find another one or something comparable to use. Even better, no kids are playing on the machines.

I absolutely love this place! I have been so impressed by the staff and how easy it is to get the workout you want no matter the time of day. I read a couple of negative reviews which has prompted my comments and want to assure anyone reading this, they are not a rip off, they don't steal your money, and the entire process is as transparent as it can be. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and clean; moreover the staff has always answered my questions and I am greeted as a friend everytime I go. I've never joined a fitness place in my life but I am so thrilled I chose Planet Fitness. With everything being so expensive, it's nice to only pay $10 for using their equipment for up to 20-22 hours per month. Do the math, that's 50 cents a visit!! Not sure how anyone can complain about that.

I came to this new location over my break and their staff cannot answer any questions you have. I was told multiple answers for what a day pass costs and was told I could cancel a subscription anytime which is also not true for my case. Joining Planet Fitness is not for you if you like to know what you’re getting into, they are not up front and just want you to join without telling you anything about the process.
