The only problem I have with this place is the fact that when you're signing in to tan they literally turn on your time they need to give you time to get back there check the bed because I wiped the bed down clean it before I can because usually every single time it's not clean and then you have to have time to put your lotion on so give people extra time other than that it's all good

My father is now on hospice and our car was totaled. I am my father’s care giver. I called and asked if my membership can be put on hold due to this family emergency.
I have been shown that Planet Fitness only cares about profits and not about community or morals.
I didn’t even ask to cancel. Just to be put on hold. They said they need a signature. I asked if I can hand write a paper and email it.. No help..

My daughter and I come to planet fitness to do the circuit and every single time there is always so many folks that come just to use 1 machine but mostly just to talk on their phones. It messes up the flow of the workout as they sit there for way to long and should be using the very same equipment found in the gym. The circuit sits off on its own to avoid this. The staff never seems to enforce this and is very frustrating and down rite angersome. Untill this issue is resolved I will not be purchasing a membership and think the staff should be doing a better job.

They won’t monitor the 30 minute circuit and allow people break the rules constantly. One person using the circuit wrong ruins it for everyone. When multiple people are spending 20-30 minutes per machine, you cannot rotate at all. Myself and several other members are having the same issue. I keep thinking it will get better, but it gets worse. If the 30 minute circuit is monitored better and rules are enforced, I will rate 5 stars. The gym is clean and the staff is friendly. Unfortunately, I cannot rate higher than 1 star because I go specifically for the circuit, and almost never can actually use it as intended. Please do something about this! There are several people upset, and this is a continual issue. The planet fitness in goshen does a great job of this and deserves 5 stars. Elkhart does not do anything about it.

We have been to many Planet Fitness gyms and while this was clean, it actually has the worst showers out of all of them. The faucet is so high that when the water sprays out it hits all around the shower- the walls, the curtain. You can stand in the middle and barely get sprayed. Try to adjust the nozzle by reaching up on your tips toes and you’ll find it’s completely its totally stationary. So you have to work yourself around the edges to get enough water on you to work up a lather or even rinse off. Then while you’re doing all that the water isn’t draining. You are now standing in shower water up to your ankles. Add in trying to shave your legs… Plan on a shower taking 3x as long.
Best thing to do- use the handicapped shower.
I don’t understand how they couldn’t demand that the company which installed it, come back to fix it. Horrible contractors whoever they were.

I’m not sure how to reply to your response. So I’m adding it to my review. I did speak to your team lead. I think that’s what he was called. He had no response lol to my concerns. I just would like it if you would maybe take Advantage of some of the other planet fitness to see how their showers are. There’s another one in the area, which I have not reviewed yet, which was great!

Terrible experience today.
This gym doesn’t even have basic necessities like toilet paper — not in the restroom, not in the workout area. When I asked the staff, they blamed the supplier for the delay. Seriously? You’re running a business, not waiting for Santa Claus. It’s called going to the store and fixing the problem. Apparently, common sense isn’t included in their employee training. I was already on the fence about a place that discourages weight lifting and calls it self a gym. There is one in Mishawaka that has a few decent pieces of equipment however, after going to the Elkhart location I have cancelled my membership and guarantee I will never step foot in a planet fitness again in my life. You are restricted to pretty purple sub par hotel gym equipment, everything better be gentle but that is all they worry about. People taking up what equipment they do have sitting around on their phones like it is a coffee shop. The staff is useless in dealing with that. The matrix equipment they use , while seemingly new , is garbage and has dead spots so you can’t get consistent resistance. The staff is absolutely just sitting there milking the clock. This is a place for people who want to say they work out but not actually do the work. On top of that a price increase it wasn’t worth the money to begin with I would rather carry rocks around than waste money there. There are several other gyms in the same price range that actually have service and equipment. I’m going to go go to an actual gym where health matters not this farce of a gym. Don’t waste your hard earned money with planet fitness.

I travel quite a bit and like to keep my workout routine when I do. This is one of the things I love about Planet Fitness, I usually have a gym not to far away. Out of all the ones I have been to, Elkhart is by far the cleanest one. It also has plenty of room so you don’t feel like you’re on top of someone working out next to you.

The equipment is top of the line, very smooth in operation and is continually updated.

The staff is great, knowable and helpful!

It's not bad but for PF to claim no links allowed since that's what they promote it seems they allow grown men to lift up their shirts and drop weights. It's a little weird and quite annoying. But these rules aren't enforced in the slightest. If you want to take off your shirt and or lift it up constantly go to another gym.

Been going to this gym for a month, Haven’t had any issues per say with the equipment or the customers but I have had a recent issue with my stuff missing through the staff. I left a product I use for my waist trainer on the locker room counter. Before I left the gym saw it on the back counter up front and I was shocked that someone else used it to because it’s so good. Go home later that evening to find out that one on the back counter was mine. Spoke with multiple staff about it missing and They claim to remember and saw it in the same place as saw it. But no answers as they where it went. Also spoke with the manager at this location she as well mentioned to me she saw it in the employee office. It’s been a week or so with no updates but beware of leaving things, have a feeling staff takes peoples belongings if left out.

This gym would be perfect if the staff did a courtesy check in the woman’s bathroom more . The showers always have hair everywhere which is unfair for the people that pay a monthly subscription to be able to enjoy all amenities. Also , the staff need to monitor the equipment for the people that like to hog the equipment by taking 10 min breaks in between workouts. I don't believe we should have to run and tell staff when it’s their job .

Today makes 2 times this month I have been to the gym when the posted hours say you are open and NOBODY is here and the lights are off!

Some people at the front desk so not even acknowledge you. One as a matter of fact is watching stuff on her phone everyday and never looks at you. Others are really nice and at least say hi. My arcade would not scan one day while she was there. After standing there for a minute I finally just walked away and didn't check in I know I have a member.

Decently clean just need better people working there to make it better. Or else go to keyless entery or something. The people don't do anything anyways.

I don’t leave many reviews but this one seemed appropriate. I’m a truck driver and I’ve been to over 50-60 planet fitnesses and this is probably one of the top 3 I’ve been in. Huge faculty. Always clean. As I’m writing this there’s a front desk worker cleaning the front door glass and another team member scrubbing treadmills(which usually never get cleaned and always covered in dripping sweat spots)!! Huge shout out to this facility and the team members here. 👌

Great facility (Elkhart, IN) with good parking, the latest equipment, a huge workout space, many sparkling clean machines, attentive staff, wide range of basic fitness classes and new-member orientations, and positive energy among the members there. Exactly what I was looking for, but not at all what I expected, for the bargain membership fees.

I've been to more expensive gyms in the past and the only difference at PF Elkhart is I bring my own towel, and there's no "cafe" with unnecessary food and coffee drinks, or wealthy members preening in front of the wall mirrors. I'm glad I joined Planet Fitness!

I love coming here! Always clean and staff is always friendly and helpful. I'm able to work out without feeling judged. Love the massage chair right after a hefty workout! It's planet fitness. No free weights, except dumbells, smith machines and the usual assortment of mostly superfluous isolation machines. Plenty of treadmills and elliptical if that's your thing. Not the biggest I've been to. Not nearly as many weirdos as the internet would have you believe, but there's been a character or two. Staff is nice and even bothers to remember your name. Some cool dudes there.

Every time I've visited this location, the women's washroom (specifically, the bathroom stalls) are in terrible condition, with garbage everywhere - regardless of time of day. The washrooms are definitely being neglected and desperately need to be tended to. Two of the four showers in the women's washroom have been out of order for months.

To the Owner/whomever replies to these reviews: your canned response to everyone here to "address their concerns with Management" doesn't quite cut it, considering staff are usually nowhere to be found, nevermind someone in a management position!

Where is Corporate? This location is in need of a good surprise visit. This facility is not to the standard that other Planet Fitness locations maintain.

I had called to check on a few things I have a few concerns one being a woman I believe that women spaces should be strictly for women and young girls when it comes to bathrooms and etcetera but when I try to talk to the gentleman who answered the phone he was very uncaring for the fact that women should have personal spaces for and he was more worried about hurting somebody else's feelings instead of the safety and security for a woman personal space and privacy so basically screw women they don't matter as long as they don't hurt a transgenders feelings that's the gist of what I got from his bad attitude as I tried to explain to him that I do not discriminate but I do feel unsafe to undress in front of a man unless it was my husband he still did not care about my personal feelings on the matter I also have another concern which is I have to have a breathing machine that I can have access to in case if I have an attack now I have one of my own so no that's not a problem my problem and my concern is how accessible plugins are for the the guy was very unassured about that too he said basically if you're near one okay then you can use it however if you have an attack we'll just call 911 and that's all there is to it so even though I can take care of the problem of my own didn't care they just want me out of there as quick as possible because they would rather have that happen instead of me taking up space and using necessary medical equipment if I have an attack so yeah I'm not going to consider this place which is heartbreaking cuz I really want to but the bad attitude absolutely not I think I'll be looking somewhere else

Elkhart's Planet Fitness has a great layout, and feels less "cramped" than others. The extra wall between the main rooms is nice as it makes it seem like there are less people. Personal prefence, compares the "mega warehouse" at other PF.
