I had not been into this planet fitness in probably a month. I went in to tan etc. And noticed one of the rude employees I had encountered before sitting on the bench. A new girl at the counter I had not seen before. She was very polite and prompt.
I went to tan and then came back out. The rude employee was still sitting on the bench. I ask the new employee for massage bed. She scanned my code and I ran to restroom. Maybe 3 minutes. When I got back to the massage bed it had already started. Any other time I have used the massage beds you have to push the button to start. I went back out to the front desk and no one behind counter. But the rude employee was still sitting in the same spot. Never addressed me just let me stand there. I ask her if she was going to help me. She said I'm on my break.
Finally the other employee came back and I told her what happened - she said that bed had been acting up today. I ask her to reset it. She said she did and I went back again and there was a note to see front desk. By now I'm pretty upset with the rude employee. So I go back out and she is behind the desk. The new girl has a planet fitness shirt on. The rude employee is wearing what looks like a Grinch shirt and no name tag. I say what is your name. I believe she replied you don't need to know. I said why don't you have a planet fitness shirt on if you are an employee. She said I don't have to Im on break. In my observance that's an awful long break and if on break - why behind the counter telling the new employee what to do?
The tanning beds were much cleaner and they had been cleaning the areas of need I noticed last time I was here. But, this time the bed I used was right back dirty like before I brought to attention. Dirt and grass and dust at foot of bed etc.
I really thought Planet fitness had hirer standards.
I'm not hard to get along with or rude but, don't abuse and mistreat customers and have poor customer service!!!

So because I tried to expose an employee being rude and not doing their job. Even after a descrimanating post message on Google was made to me. Someone transferred my membership without asking me to Greenfield and then the manager their terminated my membership because of my post. So their employee can harass me and send hurtful messages to me but, I can't as a customer try to do anything about it! Something is wrong with that picture! I'm really surprised the owner would let such things go on at their club. I think Planet fitness as a whole should be disgraced at such conduct being allowed!!
I have been to probably 10 different planet fitness's - some in other states. Greenfield is the worst I've been too.
I would recommend shelbyville or anderson over this one.
3 strikes - what do we do.
Monday was here using a water bed massage- was suppose to be 10 min. Shut off at 3 min.
Tonight I went in to tan. Stripped down went to turn on bed - will not come on! Have to get my cell phone and call front desk. Just what you want to do when your ready to tan and on a time schdule! Went out after tanning and ask to get the sit up massage chair by the window. Reply sorry, it dont work! My reply who is your manager. Im thinking We sure have some issues here !

Tanning bed repair still an issue.
Cleanliness of tanning beds need to be addressed because there is more to it than just wiping the tanning service. Look at all the dust accumulated in the front of bed.
Seem to be some improvement but, still could be better.
5/2/2025. So I'm back in town again and I always use planet fitness as I do in many states.
This is like my 5th time here this occasion. Well I have put off posting until tonight.
The tanning room was dirty. Something in the floor and dirt or something on the pillow.
So I thought they were suppose to be checked in between by staff. Especially since there were I know three on duty and not very busy.
So I usually use the massage chair if I have time. Most times I do plan it in. I usually get anywhere from 15 to 20 min.
I know the policy is only 10 min. If busy. But that's one reason I go at night. So it's not busy. When I ask the girl at the counter for 15 min. On 14 - she said I have 13. I said ok.
So walking back I noticed she gave me chair 13 but, never said I don't have 14.
So i get back there and this is twice one of the employee's were in the chair - on their break. But, here is the deal.
When I came out I ask the girl at the counter why I only could get 13 min. And not the 15 I ask for. She said well typically we are only allowed to give you 10 min.
I said I know the policy and if not busy you can request more and they obviously were not busy it was 10pm at night.
So the employee on break was already in the chair when I went back and he was still in the chair relaxed when I left. So if a paying customer can't ask for a few extra min. - why dose an employee get endless time.
Which I really dont care how long the employee was in the chair. I'm just stating a point!!
Plus I've been coming here for several years now and no one had ever said anything to me if I ask for 15 or 20 min. before and I've been here earlier in the evening when it was busier.
Since I had to take the time to post tonight i might as well add that when i was here about a week ago i used the shower area. The showers had lots if hair on the drains and trash of peoples shampoo bottles etc.
That was my first time using the showers at this location. I dont plan on using them again.

They recently replaced all the "cable" equipment and weights. They removed some really good equipment and did not replace them with equal equipment. There are several peices of equipment where there are only 1 of and it feels like a battle for them sometimes. Other than that I enjoy coming to this fitness center.

I wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for the exceptional quality of the Greenfield facility. As someone who frequently travels for work—currently in Canada—I make it a priority to visit a Planet Fitness location almost daily. However, none of the facilities I have visited compare to the Greenfield location in several key ways.
Most notably, I have found Greenfield to be significantly cleaner than the other locations I have visited. While each facility is set up differently, Greenfield stands out for its extensive selection of equipment, all of which are consistently well-maintained. I regularly see employees actively cleaning, ensuring supplies like towels and spray bottles are well-stocked, which contributes to a great workout experience.
Additionally, I want to commend Thomas, who is frequently on duty when I visit. His friendly demeanor and willingness to engage in conversation make a meaningful difference in how I perceive the facility.
Thank you for providing such a well-kept and welcoming environment. Over the past year, I have lost 94 pounds, and having a high-quality gym to train in has played a significant role in my success. I truly appreciate the effort your team puts into maintaining such an outstanding facility.

Extremely clean. I used the tanning bed bed. It was clean all the bulbs were working unlike the planet fitness on Washington st. The bulbs many bulbs are out. I have reported it to the manager a year ago and they still haven't been replaced. I'm thinking of switching to this location

Planet Fitness has been good to me. I love the 30 minute room. I moved and it was no longer convenient. I remembered quickly this happened to my husband and I when we moved the 1st time from Ohio to Indiana, it was the same scenario. On both occasions cancellation was difficult. I was required to drive 45 minutes across town or go to the post office, write a letter and mail it certified. I have now missed the monthly cutoff twice and paid for 2 months of membership I didn’t utilize. It’s not simple to cancel when you move and have a busy lifestyle. My only complaint and it feels like
this is the purpose behind the cancellation process.

I used to be a manager at Planet Fitness and it absolutely appalled me at the unprofessionalism from the people at the front desk, specifically the guy with long hair. He had a very sarcastic attitude and made multiple rude remarks. He didn't seem to care to be He seemed like the type to act one way in front of his boss and then act another way without any supervisors around.

Gym is very clean. Always plenty of cardio equipment. Free weights and machines can get a little crowded during the evening peak times, especially since many people sit on the machines nowadays and stare at their phone when they're not actively using the machine. But, that happens at all gyms. Staff is very friendly and helpful. It is a very easy experience to enter and check-in each visit. And, you can't beat the price with the amenities (tanning beds, locker room and massage chairs).

Staff is usually nice. Machines are nice. Facility is usually pretty clean. Well air conditioned. The staff helps if I have a question about an exercise.

Also, for any young dudes out there: contrary to what you may believe, Planet Fitness are real gyms. I didn't get a membership here for years cause I thought bad of the lunk alarm and PF's rep. I have literally never seen the alarm go off or be used the past two ish years I've been going here.

This gym offers the best rate if you're looking to workout. Any gym goer or normal dude would benefit from coming here.

After 1-2 years, I've gotten considerably stronger and lost about 20 lbs.

For real, if you want to start a good workout schedule, and for cheap, this is the place to go. You have all the equipment you need here.

Literally, I've seen a cop or two workout here regularly. There's some jacked mother chuckers here too.

I've been going to planet fitness probably since may of 2023. My first time joining a gym, I started going for my Fibromyalgia but also needed to get healthier and loose some weight, the staff is very friendly and helpful because I was not use to what all the equipment was for or how to use it and they are very helpful with that. I love working out at this gym, tons of equipment friendly super helpful staff even at 5AM. But you cannot tell me with 6 people standing at the door and about 15 cars in the parking lot before 5AM that they shouldn't be open 24 hours. I feel like I've been scammed and sort of robbed in a way because I originally came here and signed up for the 24 hour aspect of the perks and then they decided that they could take it away from me. That's not OK that's a crime. I've tried emailing and talking to people but nobody will listen, I'd even be willing to increase my monthly fees to acquire 24 hours access again I think they should just have key cards for overnight anyways. That's just my thoughts.

I left my things in my locker over night with a lock. I had never heard that I was not allowed to do that. I will admit that was my fault though. I came in and spoke to the staff about it. All of them are very kind! But they lost my monster, my dove spray deodorant and my dove stick deodorant. The only thing I got back from my locker was my hair brush. They do not give you another lock(they had to break the one I bought.) Ik that I didn’t lose a lot but still that is not ok. I am very upset about that.

This is one of the cleanest PF that I have been to. I appreciate the hands-free faucets, and you can take one of your own spray bottles.

I am always greeted at every planet fitness I have visited, no matter the state. All planet fitness gyms are set up similarly so I don't feel confused and lost when I visit other locations besides my home gym. I feel comfortable working out even though I still have a lot of growth. I'm not overwhelmed by people who make me feel like I don't belong. Just a friendly, encouraging environment.
