Location has fixed new showers but surprisingly they have the water shut off for them allegedly that they are going get them fix was told this last week by another employee & now today 2nd visit still down only to leave me question is it to save on a water bill ? But what do you do to resolve this issue ? An inform your planet fitness members ? Nothings posted publicly ! Nothings is informed to all card holders members or a notice online ? Or a notice on google so others are aware especially being black card member guest are constantly traveling . To take advantage of the perks . Just giving my feedback on a resolution & give members a notice of when it’s issue is going to be resolved .

Poor customer service, in two different instances I’ve been approached by the same person; once he was in the click working asking me to put my backpack in a locker yet I see other people walking around with their bag and nothing has been said. Second time, he is not even in the clock he is working out, I am getting ready to use the smith machine to do my squats I set my 45lbs on the floor not noticing they made a “noise” he approached me and first said “can you please not put the weights on the floor, I work here” mind you there is someone else working out on the left side with weights on the floor. I asked him to tell the person next to me to do the same thing, he replied “he is the regional manager” I replied ok so bc he is the regional manager he can do that, he said “don’t slam the weights on the floor, it ruins the floor “ I said that’s not what you said but OK. The only reason I come to this gym is bc my government job pays for it.

Leonard is fantastic. He is Extremely personable. It is Very disappoint that there is only 1 elliptical bike. Kokomo has a large population of seniors who can't ride the other type bikes. I've been in at different times of the day and the elliptical bike is being used. There's almost always someone waiting to use it. This happens and the other equipment is not being used. There are at least a dozen treadmills and the same for the stair stepper and elliptical-3 or 4 in use, the rest empty. 1 elliptical bike is a little ridiculous when the Lafayette PF has 4.....that's F O U R!!! Please consider getting at least one more if not several more for our Kokomo PF.

As of Today, 2/24/2025, Very Disappointed! I have vision pro lems and asked for assistance in touring the facility and funding certain equipment and was told that the front desk can't be left unattended and 8 walked away for 10 secs and turned back and NO ONE was at the front desk! 😡 My guess is, they just didn't want to do their job and assist people! So I left!! At this point, I do NOT recommend the Kokomo, IN Planet Fitness! Very Rude and Not one but helpful! I feel like I just wasted my money on membership!

This location has to be in my top five planet fitness gyms. Since post-pandemic, I travel to different construction projects for income as an I.B.E.W union member. The associates at planet fitness Kokomo ROCK! The gym and the locker room are maintained by folks who care about their members well-being.

I enjoy working out here in Kokomo and staff is usually friendly. However, the tanning beds are filthy. I worked at a tanning salon and we had to really keep them clean because people would complain! I’ve talked to them several times about this. I stopped tanning for the summer. Winter came and I thought I’d tan and still nothing has changed! I don’t see them enforcing people to clean after they use the equipment. They should go around periodically and wipe stuff down. I feel the younger staff has a lot of downtime!! This might be the issue. Maybe they should deep clean on the weekends since it’s not open 24 hours anymore. I’m not usually one to complain but I know what A clean establishment should look like.

We were in Kokomo visiting family and wanted to get a workout in, so we came to Planet Fitness which was a great experience. The staff was very welcoming and friendly and we loved the facility. It had everything we needed and more. We used the 30 min workout area which makes it easy to get a good workout in without thinking about it - it’s just set up. And there were so many areas with weights, TRX, bands, kettlebells we could just move around and get what we needed. It was never too crowded - lots of space. Highly recommend.

Great gym! I love the option of being able to workout 24/7.. I love the tanning and massages.. The downfall to this location is the water in the women's locker room needs attention! It's only warm long enough to spray myself down and put shampoo in my hair. BAM the water temp turns cold! I've asked staff to reset the on demand water unit, which helps, but some staff refuse to reset the system. This has been an issue for many months!
I enjoy a WARM shower after working out hard!
This location needs to update the water temperature system, PLEASE!!

There's so many things to learn how to correctly use and if you find yourself a little confused or just absolutely lost..... there is always someone that's able to notice that, so you'll never have to walk away at the end of the day and say "I still don't even understand what I'm supposed to be learning" . Everything is conveniently accessible to you, right from your smartphone (and from my understanding...if you have the "plus" membership.... you have exclusive access to the tablets that are attached to each set of the workout equipment) 💪 😉 and most definitely don't you dare forget about 50% off of EVERY drink that you purchase, no questions asked!!!

When I walked in the girl behind the desk had her feet up phone front and center texting. Didn't even notice me.

Topic: Showers at Planet Fitness

I recently moved to the area, and for a while, my apartment didn’t have a functioning shower. In need of a place to clean up, I turned to Planet Fitness.

For some context, I always brought my own body soap and any other necessities, so all I needed was access to water. Before heading over, I called to ask if they allowed free use of their showers. I was told yes, so I decided to give it a try, usually going around 10 AM.

On my first few visits, a young man with brown or black hair was working the front desk and cleaning. He was incredibly understanding and didn’t hesitate to let me use the showers after I explained my situation. Honestly, this guy deserves a raise—his kindness and professionalism were remarkable.

However, my experience changed yesterday, Monday, around 11:30 AM to 12 PM. An older male employee, who I believe may be a manager or someone in a leadership position, told me I could no longer use their showers.

From a business standpoint, I understand the need to generate revenue. However, I believe banning someone from using the showers is both rude and insensitive. While my situation wasn’t dire, as my shower was being fixed that day, I couldn’t help but think about others who might be in more difficult circumstances, like a homeless person.

Not only does this decision lack compassion, but it also overlooks a potential business opportunity. Providing access to showers could foster goodwill and trust within the community. Imagine the positive impact of a headline like, "Planet Fitness Offers Showers to Young Adults Before College, Helping Them Succeed and Prosper." It’s about showing care and appreciation for the community, which could ultimately strengthen customer loyalty and enhance the brand's reputation.

Unedited note: My idea is as you benefit community members as a business you also are increasing your profit and reputation. Allowing for increased customer loyalty and profit for possible months to years.

Planet fitness is amazing!! (And that is an understatement.) I love how their equipment is so easy to learn how to use even if you’re a day 1 beginner. Also, the black card membership price is WELL more than fair! You can tan, get unlimited hydromassages, and workout all for an unbeatable price. Most of the staff at the Kokomo location are always so friendly and very helpful when needed. I like how everyone pretty much does their own thing and leaves everyone else alone. It helps you focus on yourself at the gym and achieve your goals! The only thing I would say is I wish the Kokomo location had the red light therapy beds, but that’s about it! I absolutely love this gym and I don’t see me ever switching to another.

I love my gym. I love that they pretend to know me every time I walk in. I love that no matter how long it's been they make me feel like they just saw me yesterday. I love that I can tan after coming in from the cold to warm up my body before I start my workout. I love this place. I'm 86 and use treadmill and 91 year old hubby uses the bicycle. Our goal is 3 times a week but not quite disciplined enough yet. Working on it though. Our insurance pays our membership. Check it out senior citizens! Very friendly and helpful staff. 👏👏
