Ok. My original review was great. BUT!!! Things do change and unfortunately not for the better. The quality of employees is one of the things that did change and today I’ve learned that one of the biggest advantages of PF will be no more. They won’t be open 24 hrs anymore! Really?!?! I've never been so disrespected. The manager and who im assuming was the assistant manager hung on on me because I am disabled which means I get paid a certain time of the month while asking if they could move yhe date they hang up on me. I call back ask why they hung up and thw guy says "this is a moot point isnt it" IS THIS HOW WE TREAT DISABLED PEOPLE AT PLANET FITNESS?!?!!? I THINK SOME FIRING IS DUE! THIS HAPPEND AT 440PM ON MONDAY FIGURE OUT WHO YOUR EMPLOYEES ARE AND GET RID OF THE GARBAGE

Let me tell you I am so mad at them right now! I went to pay my annual fee before it was due, because it didn’t auto process last month and I had to pay a late fee. After this occurrence, I even added my card as a back up payment to avoid this issue. I went to pay my annual fee before the first and it said that I had no balance due and my next payment was July 17th. Today I get on my app and it says that I am past due on my payment and cannot make a payment because one has been “processing” for days. I call the club and they tell me that there is nothing they can do until Monday and now I can’t even check in. I am angry because I 100% feel scammed.

This facility is getting a very very well needed remodel. I was just about to cancel my membership but I tan I was very happy to go in one day after a hiatus from some procedures to my back and needed to work on my muscle tone I had lost during that 3 months I lost 20 pounds of muscle due to medications I’m on but I was pleasantly surprised planet fitness installed new treadmills and cardio equipment. I wish there was a private room for hitt which i perform with my workouts after cardio. I wasn’t charged when the roof collapsed but was surprised it wasn’t fixed promptly before customers started noticing and wonder why it took so long before many customers left. I feel planet fitness was playing with their associates jobs because If customers leave well then people lose jobs then we lose our gym. I’m glad the gym is being worked on finally and things are changing and maybe I won’t be changing gyms anytime soon

I love to work out at PF the gym is always clean and there is always someone dusting or vacuuming. The only bummer is that the machines aren't hooked up to the wireless so you can't use the app to scan the QR code.

The water fountain has been broken several times. When it does break, it takes weeks to get repaired. The roof leaks so it's a mess inside every time it rains. The broken clock has been stuck at 5:57 for years. Equipment is frequently out of order for several weeks. The paper towel dispensers are never filled. They just throw a roll on the garbage cans. The staff is friendly but I suspect the owner doesn't care to repair anything that breaks.

There is a Cherri or Cheryl (I can’t ever see her name tag fully but I know it starts with a Ch) who works at the one in Marion IN. She goes into what I guess to be a utility closet for a long a time in the women’s locker room then comes out and is always throwing up in the bathroom. I’ve witnessed this in multiple occasions.

She is also super rude to any of the female guests. I know women who won’t go back there just because of how rude she is to women. Idk if it’s her eye or what that she is insecure about, but I’m an older woman but have personally watched her be extremely rude to pretty guests for no reason at all.

I just stopped in for a quick trial while on vacation. Machines seemed to all be in good condition. If cardio is your primary thing, this gym would be perfect. However, I like free weights also, and the only free weights they have are dumb bells up to 75lbs. I was still able to get a good workout in, and it really does give the vibe of judgment free workout.

I recently joined the planet fitness health club/gym in Marion Indiana, and am very pleased that I did. The entire facility is always very clean and sanitized. There's a wide variety of fitness equipment and cardio machines to address all of your fitness goals. Also, the staff is always cordial, friendly, and approachable.
I would advise anyone, who lives in the city of Marion, who is also seeking to keep fit and stay in great condition physically, to become a member at planet fitness, you will be pleased that you did.

Cherie was the first one we were greeted by when we went in to inquire about a membership. She explained everything in detail with a contagious passion regarding the importance of health and fitness.
She had already sold us on the place, but when she explained the judgement-free zone concept, she really eased the worries we've had with being embarrassed because we're out of shape. We both really appreciated her kindness and enthusiasm..
The place was very clean and appeared as that of a brand new place...
We look forward to seeing where this new venture will take us.

Marion’s PF is above average as a whole with a good staff running it. I have been going for a few years and bounce back and forth from the classic to black membership. A few things that I have seen negative: when a drinking fountain, sink, or machine go down…no telling how long it will be until it’s operational. And the PF billing center was tough to work with once. Overall, it’s my home PF and I enjoy it

Terrific employees, awful ownership. They had a pipe burst about a month ago, flooding the “spa,” now all of the tanning booths, and the total body enhancement do not work. Instead of getting new equipment the owner chose to get a bunch of box fans to remedy the issue!

I love the set up of this planet. Very nice staff. Clean facility. Not very busy. The showers actually get hot ( rare at a planet fitness) but the showers are super tiny and the shower curtains aren't big enough to cover the whole opening. Over all not a bad facility

The facility itself is great. However there are large groups of guys who seem to go wherever I’m going and they slam weights, cuss constantly, and just make a big scene of themselves. It honestly feels pretty intimidating being a girl who works out alone a lot. They say things like “pull the alarm on me pull the alarm on me” and watch me work out. I wish staff would do something about it. :/ otherwise it’s a great place with good and clean equipment.

I left a 5 star rating but didn't leave a reason . The staff here is amazing. I've only been a member just under a month now, the personal trainer Sean actually listened to what my disabilities were and customized a program I could use in the gym and at home. Alex , #1 who signed me up for my membership , I went to him with a problem I had using a machine because of my height, ( he was not on the clock ) and still took time to show me a different machine that did the same thing and was much easier to use. Alex # 2 , went to him with a question about my program when I was unsure about what an exercise was , he went over that days routine with me , made sure I understood everything on it.
I have not met the new manager yet but I want her to know her staff is amazing . I only have 2 things I would like to see, every employee wearing a name tag because I like to know who I'm dealing with, and someone to go around and make sure all the paper towel dispenser are stocked and working because a lot of times they are not and you have to search for something to clean off your equipment with ( but then again more exercise) . It's a great place and I'm glad I joined. Thanks again .

The gym itself and staff are very nice. However, there are some shady business practices happening. I canceled my membership last week with an associate, but asked for a return call from the manager due to being charged a THIRD annual fee in less than 18 months. (The 1st 2 annual fees were expected and 1 year apart.) I did cancel and then renew my membership a couple months later, but did not expect another annual fee since I just paid one. I didn't receive a call back. I called back a few days later, spoke to the same staff member, and left another message, stating that I canceled my membership, but am requesting a refund for the 3rd annual fee I was charged. She finally called back and refused a refund due to it being a "new membership". I posted a status about this occurrence on Facebook and learned that this happened to someone else and another person stated that they were charged the monthly membership fee after canceling their membership. Fast forward to today. I was charged a monthly membership fee today. MY MEMBERSHIP WAS SUPPOSED TO BE CANCELED LAST WEEK. I called to speak to the manager at 915am. She was in a meeting. The associate I spoke with said there was no note in my account about canceling my membership. I asked that the manager return my call. 5 minutes later I received an email with a PDF of a cancellation form. It is now 3:47pm and I still have not received a phone call from the manager. I posted another status on Facebook, stating what had happened today. 2 more people said the exact same thing happened to them. One person said they had to block Planet Fitness on their bank account because they were taking the monthly membership fee every month after canceling the membership and couldn't get a return call from the manager. There are clearly some shady business practices going on for so many people to have the same issue. BEWARE!!

Love the place and the equipment options they have. The only concern I have is when there are 2 or 3 employees up at the desk socializing when the tanning beds are disgusting. The top glass of the tanning beds are appalling with smear marks like they haven’t been cleaned in months. With employees having all this time on their hands I don’t think it’s too much to ask that at least one of them could be cleaning these beds. Seems like a management issue to me?

Planet fitness is great! They have everything you need to work on yourself. Equipment, massage beds, tanning beds... It's great! If you're going to be a member I suggest you sign up for the Black VIP card, it allows you access to all the extra stuff in the VIP section, tanning beds and what not.
