CrossFit Merle Hay is awesome! I recently dropped in for a class, and the entire experience was great from start to finish. The workout was definitely challenging, but the instructor did an amazing job helping me scale everything to my level so I felt supported the whole time. I left feeling accomplished, energized, and genuinely stronger than when I walked in. If you’re looking for a welcoming, motivating place to train—whether you're visiting or local—this is the spot!

From the beginning, the communication has been stellar! My first class was a great stepping stone to getting back into a gym space. Coach Vince walked me through every move and explained the whole process. I look forward to joining this community and continuing my fitness journey.

I came to the gym after a 3 year layoff and 61years old. I started with 12 personal training sessions with Coach Vince….that was a great way to start back! Classes have been tough but the excellent coaches have helped scale some of the movements to make me feel comfortable while not slowing up the class for the other athletes. My wife and I have had a great experience with the Merle Hay gym, and the friendly and knowledgeable coaches! Highly recommended.

I was a member for 2016-2020. I left during Covid with the knowledge that I gained. I came back in 2025 and I realized how much I meant it. While it is mostly new coaches, it still the same high quality coaching that is staple of this gym. No matter where you are at on your fitness journey this is the place for you.

I've been training at CrossFit Merle Hay for two years and I couldn't be happier with the experience. The coaches are knowledgeable, supportive, and always focused on proper form and safety. Whether you're a beginner or experienced athlete, they meet you where you're at and push you to improve every session.
The programming is well-structured, varied, and challenging. Each workout feels purposeful, and I've seen real progress in my strength, endurance, and overall fitness.

I’ve been personally training with Caileen for quite a while now, i started coming here because we researched the place to go for experienced, thoughtful and dedicated personal training and we discovered Caileen here. My ultimate goal was to move my body and have a good time doing it and Caileen was the perfect coach for me. She pays extreme attention to details and makes sure that you’re both feeling good and having fun while you’re working out, both me and my mom train with her and it has been nothing but love and hard work with Caileen. Even if you are not sure what you’re looking for or are even nervous about classes, Merle Hay Crossfit is 100% the right way to go, as they can cater to all ability levels, all types of workouts and in general it is such a fun community and environment.

I've been apart of Crossfit Merele Haye since 2017. Great coaching, non judgemental, fun atmosphere . There's many gyms in the Des Moines area, however not all gyms design their fitness formula for every one. Nate and his staff do very well in this area. What ever my goals are theres no judgement about it. They treat their members as the do their friends and family. I'm grateful I've made both them.

I've trained at CrossFit Merle Hay for a little over a year and have had a very positive experience. CFMH has knowledgeable, supportive and friendly coaches who provide movement modifications as needed or requested. They truly seem to care about your wellness and fitness goals.
The coaches also program a good mixture of strength, cardio and gymnastics. They are respectful of your time and other responsibilities by making sure to get classes started on time and ending them on time.
I have found a great group of friends at the 5:30AM class who keep me accountable and I look forward to my time with them.

First off, let me start by saying WOW!!!
From the moment I stepped foot into this facility I felt welcomed and treated like family. I’ve tested out multiple CrossFit Gyms in the metro and nowhere compares to the community @ CrossFit Merle Hay. Their dedicated owners Nate and Caileen, along with their determined coaches like Vince, Daniela, Jessica and many more, are all extremely knowledgeable and hardworking. Everyone practices what they preach and will allow you to scale down if necessary until you learn any particular movement or exercise. There workouts are safe, enjoyable, and intense enough to get you REAL RESULTS. They offer 1 on 1 Training, Group Classes, and even nutrition programs to help you really dial in on your own personal goals. The only thing I regret is not starting here sooner and I’m excited to see where this CrossFit journey takes me.

I've been training with Caileen for more than three years now and she has been such a huge part of my own personal journey of learning how to properly know, care for, and love my own body. I'm big on understanding the "why" of things—why am I doing this lift, how does a squat work, what is this doing to my body specifically—and Caileen has entertained every single one of my MANY, MANY questions with patience, kindness, and a marked demonstration of her expertise. Everything is customized to me and my unique being and goals vs. blanketed across every client—truly personal training. Beyond being very good at what she does, Caileen is also supremely joyous and silly and brings such levity and empowerment to what can be a very overwhelming, intimidating experience for many. And now I not only have a trainer and a renewed sense of confidence, but I have a very dear friend and confidant. Also everyone else is great and friendly, the space is clean, and the music is fun!!!

I just joined CFMH a few weeks ago after coming to a free trial month and have been loving it so far! I feel very welcomed and wanted here! Having very minimal CrossFit experience before, I have been so impressed with the coaches expertise and thoroughly teaching me techniques to ensure my form is correct. The smaller class sizes help with more focused attention as well as I’m just starting out.
I’m also 6 months pregnant so that has added a unique dimension of starting out with different lifts and workouts, but the coaches have been so patient and conscientious with my modifications and making sure baby and I stay safe. I have loved the atmosphere and the diversity of the workouts and especially the competitive nature.
The little room for kids is a nice added bonus too making class times more feasible for me when I can bring my kiddos along with me.

They say the right gym can create a family. CrossFit Merle Hay is this gym. The gym is definitely the cream of the crop. The coaches are all engaging, friendly, and push you to work at your own limit. The members are all encouraging as each of us grinds and suffers during a workout. All of it is FANTASTIC. I love the instruction from every coach, the atmosphere motivates me to work harder, and we always have an opportunity to suggest the music of the day. I recommend the gym to anyone who wants to sweat, work, and have fun. CrossFit Merle Hay is family.

I participated in the CrossFit level 2 Certification at CrossFit Merle Hay. Jess (a coach at CFMH) was an instructor for the two days. As a coach with a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience, what a great asset to have at a gym as a member. This gym was very clean, organized with all the necessary equipment needed to learn functional exercise. I would highly recommend CrossFit Merle Hay!

Some friends recommended I do the free trial that they offered in January. I really enjoyed it. It tapped into a side of working out I haven’t seen in myself since college days. The coaches, staff, owners are all very personable. You walk in day one thinking what am I doing here? Right away they say hello, they ask your name, any health issues, etc. The coaches are great at remembering and checking up on you after a workout. They could tell right away I like competition and really leaned into that to help push me /further my goals. There are all different levels of fit at this gym. I really appreciate seeing that and the coaches are versatile and offer modifications for each movement. They really focus on form and making sure you have it down before adding heavier weight.
They do have a child’s room in the back for kids to hangout in and play while you focus on yourself for an hour. I haven’t seen other crossfits have this. That’s a nice perk.
Overall I would recommend CrossFit Merle hay and their coaches. I was very impressed by it all. I will be joining.

Bottom line up front: an amazing community and a great place to better yourself physically and mentally!
I started to attend CrossFit Merle Hay at the beginning of 2022. I had seen on social media about CrossFit but had no experience with CrossFit before. I wanted to see if I could challenge myself physically in this way. CrossFit Merle Hay’s staff does an incredible job walking you through the lifting movements and workouts no matter what level of fitness you are at! The best part? The COMMUNITY!! I found myself surrounded by individuals who shared the same desire to better themselves and have fun doing it!
Took a break last year to budget my finances better but came back to their Free month in January and was reminded of how amazing the coaches and community are! I knew this time I was going to find the space in my budget to commit to membership again! My health physically and mentally is worth it!
My advice? Come join me! I’ll see you in class!

I’ve become a frequent drop-in at this gym, whenever I’m visiting family in Johnston and they always make me feel at home. During my 12 years of CrossFit, I’ve been a member of and dropped in at many gyms, and I consider CrossFit Merle Hay to be among the best. The staff is amazing (shoutout to Nate, Roz, and Vincent who all coached classes while I was there for Christmas and REALLY know their stuff), the class times are convenient, they have all the equipment you could need, and the programming is on point. I especially appreciate the extra effort the coaches make to ensure that each person in class has identified appropriate scales for the workout and the suggestions they offer to replace movements that don’t work for an athlete. As a bonus, the other athletes in class are always friendly and welcoming!
I highly recommend CrossFit Merle Hay and am lucky to have it as my ‘home away from home’ gym!

My daughter and I became a part of the CrossFit Merle Hay community when she was looking for a place to lift weights in the summer between high school sports seasons. Like at most of her activities, I was sitting on a bench nearby watching, and one of the CFMH trainers Caileen asked me if I would like to try working out. "Yes" came out of my mouth before I could think about it or doubt myself. I have always been a person on the sidelines or behind a book, and I'd taken about a 10-year hiatus from doing anything physically regularly. From Day 1 to now Day 1,000 and counting, I have felt safe and encouraged by everyone at CFMH. Mostly I have had my personal training team led by Caileen (but also my ladies Daniela, Audrey and Ros) to teach me, to cheer me, to help me, to push me, and to never, ever let me give up. They've coached me through losing a pant size (my first goal), running a mile non-stop (my second goal - Caileen and Audrey even come to the race to cheer me on!), and healing from two injuries. They celebrate me when I hit PRs, dance to distract me from how much I hate lunges, and pick me up when I fall, both physically and emotionally. Everyone at CFMH is welcoming; each member of the team says hello when I come in, share fist bumps and appreciation for the work I'm putting in. And, while I don't participate in classes regularly, the CFMH members are always kind, too. I'll never forget one person who ran a lap with me when I was starting out. The gym can be intimidating. But CFMH is a place where I can be myself. This is a place where I have fun, even when the workout is hard. This is a place where I feel strong.

Crossfit Merle Hay is great for people of all ages and fitness levels. It is truly a community not just a gym. The coaches are very knowledgeable and care about the members. They make sure you are safe and completing moves correctly. They also provide variation of exercises so you don’t need to be scared/concerned that you are not in good enough shape to start Crossfit! They offer classes at all times of the day so it works for most schedules. They also offer a 24 hour access membership so you really can go when it is best for you.
CrossFit Merle Hay also offers Olympic Lifting classes! Jake is an amazing coach! He is knows how to get the best out of his athletes and makes sure you have the mechanics of each lift! I am lifting more than I ever imagined I could because of his coaching!
If you have any interest in CrossFit or Olympic Lifting definitely give Merle Hay a try!

To say I was nervous 2 years ago about going to my first CrossFit gym is an understatement. I had never joined any gym, let alone tried weightlifting. But I was looking to make a positive change for my physical and mental health in a way that was focused on gaining strength instead of losing pounds. CrossFit Merle Hay and training with Caileen was exactly what I needed - and why I've kept going back!
Every person I've met there - both coaches and clients - are extremely genuine and welcoming. Not once did I feel judged or uncomfortable as I found my footing.
I also can't say enough positive things about Caileen as a personal trainer. She is not only extremely knowledgeable and patient with those new to weightlifting, such as myself, but unbelievably kind and supportive. She puts so much time and attention into individual programming for her clients, helping with our unique needs and goals.
Maybe it's cheesy to say, but my time here has helped me build both muscle and confidence :) If you're nervous about joining a gym or trying personal training, take the leap here. Promise you won't regret it!

I’ve been curious about CF but always too intimidated to try it. Then my friend invited me to CFMH bring-a-friend week and I never left. If you want a crew that will cheer you on, lift you up, push you to be better and treat you like family then check out CFMH. If you’re worried you “can’t Rx a workout”, don’t be. It’s your workout, you can scale if you need to! I haven’t Rx'd one yet and I still get the best workouts I’ve had in forever. AND I have fun with me family while doing it. Beyond the class group, I’ve never met a more solid group of coaches in my life. Each and every one of them GENUINELY care about you and your health. They are brilliant at preventing and navigating injuries. Drop in for a class now! I promise you, you won’t regret it.

After many life changes I had been looking for a new CrossFit gym after being away from the sport for a few years. Merle Hay is one of the only gyms that is accommodating to us who work later and was super accepting of me bringing my kids (that have their own room to hang out in) as well as checking in to see if I ever needed anything. Even when I had to stop for a few months when I came back the coaches all still remembered me and we just picked up where we started. I appreciate the small classes and especially the ability to be able to fitness where many other places don’t have that later time option.

The owners, Nate and Caileen, have their hearts in the right place. This is evident upon meeting them and how they all seemed genuinely interested in me as a person. The staff here is encouraging and supportive. The playroom (Hallelujah! 🙌) they have here for kids is an amazing addition. My kids love tagging along to my workouts. The play room is visible from where the athletes workout. Community, accountability, and support are all vital aspects of fitness success. You’ll find all that at CFMH 💜

I really appreciate the variety and challenges of the workouts she creates, and I regularly leave sweating and panting, “That was so hard. So good, but so hard.” And then I happily come back for more another day! I always leave feeling so proud of myself and excited to see what I will surprise myself with the next time. I really don't know where to start. When I started working with Caileen and Crossfit Merle Hay, I'd been out of an exercise routine for nearly a decade. Pushing 50, I knew I needed to get myself in better order so I could be active well into old age. It's a good thing I did that because, after a year of working out, I tore my hamstring, resulting in surgery and a very long recovery. CFMH was there for me. Not only was I in much better shape to recover quickly from surgery, Caileen was right by my side, getting back to where I was before the injury. I'm a year and a half on the other side of that and I feel great. I won't be taking my health for granted again. I highly, HIGHLY, recommend CFMH.

I was recommended crossfit by a friend. I tried it out and was happily impressed with with the programs and coaches. My life goal is to never let my body limit what I want to do and I think crossfit will help be a tool for that goal. Since starting, I've also gotten a nice little side perk of better mental health regularity and feeling healthier.
One of my biggest concerns when i started was safety. I've heard crossfit tends to lead to injury. However, I started with 1-1 sessions with an amazing coach who focused on building basics and kept me going my own speed. Once I switched to group classes, I've always felt comfortable asking for help and will regularly 'create my own journey' aka do what works for me when workouts need adjusting for my current fitness level.
Lastly, I've been injured twice since I started crossfit. I fell off a horse and broke my ankle running (on my own). Rather than saying come back later or do what you can the coaches helped personalize the classes to accommodate to what I actually could do.

I have been a member of CrossFit Merle Hay (CFMH) for almost four years. I appreciate the individualized attention I get there. The coaches are very particular about how lifts are performed and workouts are done. They provide good explanations of what and how workouts can be implemented. I am 56 years old. Staff accommodate me by showing me how to scale/adapt the lifts and workouts to a level that I am better able to perform and still physically benefit from them. These adaptations are offered to everyone, no matter what their level of fitness is at. I feel a sense of community and belonging at CFMH as staff and members are very friendly, making it easy to create friendships. I would highly recommend our gym to others. It is well worth the cost!

I became a member of CrossFit Merle Hay when it opened 10 years ago. It is the best decision I ever made to maintain a high level of fitness. When I walk through the door, I leave everything behind and dedicate the next hour to my mental health and well being. I am not alone, I am surrounded by people I may never have met from different backgrounds and walks of life, my gym friends, all having a common goal, quality of life. The coaches are exceptional, providing encouragement and finding the right level of participation to maximize benefit, with safety first when it comes to the proper technique to complete a lift or perform a movement. Crossfit Merle Hay has been amazing! I was sick of working out in a dark basement with 7ft ceilings doing beach body videos on my own. Team focused, high intensity, yet adaptable workouts make this gym great. And the people are 100! So many people care about me, and my workout :) Highly Recommend! O Ya - now i can do a handstand walk --- its always been my goal, thanks to Nate and Caileen and all the coaches and members - you rock!!

I'm 50 years old and finally found the best gym. The trainers are awesome (friendly and encouraging) and always make sure the class clearly understands the workout. I leave class feeling I can take on the world that awaits me. Thank you CFMH.

Amazing gym and community for both newcomers walking into a gym for the very first time and experienced athletes looking to improve their game. Regardless of where you are and what your goals are, in my experience the CFMH coaches will meet you there and help you achieve them. Couldn't recommend enough!

CFMH quite literally changed my life! I joined the gym in 2020 (during the pandemic) with zero crossfit experience and nervous as anyone about the whole "crossfit is a cult" and "don't drink the koolaid" mindset. But since I've joined, it really has reshaped things for me in so many ways. Not only have I lost 30lbs and have seen massive improvements in body composition as well as strength/lifts, I am also constantly learning new things and skills I've never been able to or ever thought about being able to do before! It's also been an incredibly humbling journey in the very best ways! It's very humbling to get your butt kicked in the gym by a 70 year old! I've learned a lot about how far off I really was with assuming I was in decent shape and somewhat athletic and a hard worker. But CFMH really has taught me what it actually means to take care of your body, how to do hard things, how to build mental toughness, and what grit really looks like. And the best part about it is that I can do this stuff for the rest of my life!

My youngest daughter joined the kids group at CrossFit Merle Hay when she was 12. Seriously one of the best things you can do for a young person! She made friends, learned safety in a gym and built muscle. The coaches are top notch….knowledgeable, fun and love what they do!! I highly recommend.

My 13 yr old grandson was having low selfsteem problems, I felt that he was always trying to get other kid’s approval, putting himself down all the time. Trying for ways to help him, I knew one special thing was going to help him the way it has helped me not only physically but mentally for the last 8 years, CROSSFIT !! What better place for him to start than the place that has been so good to me all these years. Since my grandson joined CrossFit Merle Hay I can see that I made the best decision. Although he attends all adult classes, everybody is nice and helpful, the coaches
are the best, and although sometimes it’s hard and exhausting , he really enjoys it and it’s proud of it!!
As parents, we want the best for our kids, and we might spend money on toys, videos and entertainment, but the best investment is spending the $ to create a habit that is going to help your children feel good about themselves, that will going to keep them away from bad influence and that is going to benefit the rest of their lives!!
Thanks you CrossFit Merle Hay for embracing my grandson and help him become an even better version of himself!!!

Before joining CFMH, I was in the worse shape of my life and needing to make a change. I hadn’t been to a gym in over 6 years and was kinda intimidated to join. Everyone one looked like they were in great shape, and I wasn’t sure if it was for me due to my health at the time.
However, after attending my first class, I learned that almost everyone there started the same way.
Everyone was extremely nice, and helpful. The workouts were hard, but the team was beyond encouraging.
The coaches knew my limits, and catered to them. They helped me improve my form with all the various free weights.
I’m only a year and a half in, and in the best shape of my life. I can also say I’ve made a lot of good friends throughout the journey, as well.

I am an Army Ranger veteran and I have been involved with Crossfit Merle Hay for over a year. This place is much more than a gym. The coaches are respectful and knowledgeable. There is a healthy competition and we push eachother to survive some of these workouts that will test your abilities. The comraderie here is fun and reminds me of what I had in the military. I also need to thank all the coaches for the time they put in. Every day of the week, there are many classes available to attend. There are also personal trainers available if that is what you prefer. I have noticed a significant change in my strength and mental clarity since joining this community.

I have been an active member of CrossFit Merle Hay for several years. CFMH owners, Nate and Caileen, are committed to creating an environment that is friendly to everyone, from the first time athlete to the seasoned Crossfitter. They have hired and trained coaches who are phenomenal at developing athletes, care about the individual and help find the fun in a workout.
I believe what people hope to find in a gym is an environment where people are encouraged to work hard, push themselves out of their comfort zone and see improvement. You will find all of that at CFMH. What you will also find is a special community of owners, coaches and fellow athletes who care about each other in and out of the gym, are reaching goals they did not think possible and are working together to create a positive and fun gym environment.
If you have always been curious about CrossFit, are looking for a new gym family or interested in personal training with a coach, look at CrossFit Merle Hay. I can’t recommend it enough.

I wish there was an option for 1,000 stars.
I joined Cross Fit Merle Hay in early September of 2014. It was a time in my life where nothing seemed to be going my way. Through a mutual acquaintance, and while I was cheering on a friend at a cross fit competition, I met Nate Yoho, the owner and co-founder of CFMH. We hit it off immediately.
Nate and I began to talk and we covered a LOT of ground in a short amount of time. Everything from my background as a Marine to some of the problems I was facing in my life at the time. I was almost the heaviest I’d ever been, I was struggling with alcohol, I was starting to feel depressed and it was getting worse each day. Even my job performance was starting to suffer because I was just constantly losing the motivation to do, well, anything. We both agreed that something in my life needed to change. Nate said he thought cross fit could absolutely add a positive element to my life and invited me to try it out at his gym. He told me I’d meet some great people at CFMH. People who would become my close friends, people who could and probably would change my life. I couldn’t see it at the time but he could not have been more right!
I showed up the following Monday, was introduced to Michelle, Lindsey and the rest of the crew and hit the ground running. (Literally the first thing I did was 2 laps around the building) My first workout may have been 8 of the most physically exhausting minutes of my life, and that’s including my experience in the Marines. Nate asked me what I thought after it was over and, even though I was drenched in sweat and could barely catch my breath, all I could do is smile and say I loved it! I wanted more! To say I was immediately hooked on cross fit would be a gross understatement!
Fast forward to five months later and I had lost almost twenty pounds, and was probably in the best shape of my life, I changed my stress outlet from drinking to getting my but kicked each workout and loving every second of it. My moods and attitude became more positive than they had been in years and I made some great friends, and I even received the highest performance review of my career!
Cross Fit Merle Hay became more than just a gym for me, it became a second home. A sanctuary filled with my new and ever growing family. Thanks to Nate and Michelle and what I call my “cross fit family,” I’ve grown as an athlete, as a father and as a person in general. I can honestly say that Cross Fit Merle Hay changed my life. I can’t imagine where I’d be today without it.

My wife and I have been attending CFMH for several years now. I can’t say enough good things about the staff and facilities.
As many people are aware, attending CrossFit classes for newbies can be a little intimidating - as it was for us. The staff here does a great job of meeting you at your fitness level (no matter what that is) and focusing on technique to make sure you have a solid foundation with the right scaling options that are right for you.
Don’t get me wrong - the classes will push you, but in a good way. The staff and members are a true community all want to see you grow and succeed.
They could not have more kind and welcoming to us. Give CFMH a try!

The coaches genuinely care and put in the time and effort to help you succeed. Great member support of one another! We have great friends in our gym family. Highly recommend CFMH!

I joined CrossFit Merle Hay around 2 1/2 years ago. I knew that I needed to make a change for my health, and found this gym through a simple Google search. I am not an athlete, nor am I normally motivated by "working out". I knew close to nothing about proper form or exercise with weights.
The coaches here have been nothing short of amazing. They are focused on safety first. They personalize every work out for each individual, and go over all of the movements prior to the work out. I have really enjoyed the community, and the results both mentally and physically. CrossFit Merle Hay offers many different class times to accommodate members' schedules. They partner with other CrossFit gyms in the area to provide a number of different skills seminars, nutritional training, and local competitions for athletes around the Des Moines area. They also provide members with opportunities to get involved with other community organizations.
I value the community! I enjoy the owners, coaches, and other members that I have met throughout my time here.

When I first began my health journey, I never imagined I would have walked in to a CrossFit gym and been truly cared for, encouraged, challenged and loved. I got all of those things and more. I have grown as a person inside and out. I have found my voice - at a gym of all places. Over the course of my time at the gym, I owe a debt of gratitude to Nate. He has literally seen me at my worst and continues to encourage me and challenge me to be better, do better. He has walked alongside me, literally, through this whole journey. I think I may have used some colorful language along the way. 😉 I have successfully lost over 100 pounds and maintained it with his help and the help of others at the gym. I have learned so much about myself, my hopes, my fears, my strengths and weaknesses all while doing burpees and throwing weight around. Sounds cheesy but it’s true! Lol. I joke that it quite literally keeps me sane and keeps me away from indulging in all the food. I strongly encourage you to walk in the door and find your voice, find your strength. 💜

The coaching team does an excellent job of meeting you where you are and working with you to make continuous gains. I have found them to balance being supportive and yet challenging you to challenge yourself. They focus on quality of movement and working on continuous and steady improvements over a quick fix. I have always felt the trainers cared about my journey and invest in making me healthier.

I have worked out at Cfmh since 2014. The coaches are very knowledgeable and attentive and make it a overall a fun and safe experience.I have lost around 60 lbs and gained so much more mobility that makes the everyday activities so much easier. Before I started at Cfmh I never thought I would ever be able to run for 2 miles without stopping or doing ring muscle up’s or even entering into a fitness competition. I definitely recommend everyone to try it out no matter where you are at in your personal fitness or age.

Hands down the best gym I have been a part of. I love that their primary focus is moving well before how much weight you can move. The workouts are varied and fun, the coaches are knowledgeable and willing to put in extra work with you. In addition to class, the gym offers special challenges, nutrition coaching, and personal training, all of which I have used and have had great success. I even have my 10 year old working with a personal trainer and the results are amazing! If you have some fitness goals you want to meet, whether it is moving better or being in the best shape of your life, you need to try CrossFit Merle Hay!

My wife and I have been going to MHCF for over a year now. We moved to Des Moines without knowing many people. This gym has been absolutely awesome! We both have good relationships with our coach’s. They hold a high level of professionalism but at the same time they can feel like family. We’ve become great friends with everyone in our 530am class. The culture is humble and positive and the programming works and we’ve had great results.
I love this gym! Definitely worth checking out

Had an awesome experience at Crossfit Merle Hay. As a person dropping in for the week from Phoenix, AZ I reached out to their contact email trying to get information on their fees and policies. Nate quickly got back to me and got me the info I needed.
Initial impression: The day I arrived I was quickly greeted and set up with a waiver. Within five minutes of getting there I had a coach, one of the owners, and an athlete come and introduce themselves to me - a sure sign of a great community / box.
Coaching: the coaching I received was solid. I was given easy to understand cues and some personal attention on movement corrections. Val did a great job laying out all the movements for the workout as well as some tips for moving through efficiently.
Facility: this is a really nice box and it’s apparent that ownership / members take pride in keeping it clean. Had all the equipment we needed for the workout and everything was solid quality.
Overall I’d certainly recommend Crossfit Merle Hay to anyone visiting the Des Moines Metro.
