Kinda predatory cancellation terms but otherwise a good enough gym. I signed up for a year then decided to cancel early which comes with a 30-day cancellation period ($36) and early termination fee of $105.
I get it, that's what I signed up for but I've been in several gyms over the years and this was the most I've been charged to cancel.

I haven’t mixed feeling about the Edgewood location. Great customer service, equipment is modern and in great condition with all the machines you would expect. Lockers only support padlocks with thinner hooks, the standard padlock hook it too wide to be used. No changing rooms in the locker rooms for those of us who are a bit bashful.
There is a big wood floor room to do yoga, though yoga mats are not provided.

Right now I primarily use the Tiffin location that has private restroom/showers. Lockers at Tiffin location have set your own combination so paddle locks are not needed.

I’ve been a member since 2022 and have not had a bad experience yet. The staff, TJ and Jerica are fantastic to work with. I have enjoyed TJ and he helps me with correct form. Highly recommend iGym! Its very affordable too.

So I just started going to the igym on blairsferry rd ne cedar rapids about a week ago. Seemed like a good clean and nice place to work out. I did my treadmill workout and went to men's locker room to take a shower. After showering I got dressed and was sitting on a bench putting my shoes on I was bent over to tie my shoes and when I look up another man is standing in front of me with his private parts hanging 3 inches from my face. I told him to back up and give me some space and he continued to stand there. Wow you can't go anywhere anymore without being disrespected. I will be canceling my membership with them today and I would recommend choosing another gym.

TJ was a horrible experience he profiled me and my family and forced us to show identification even tho other people have gone in and out and he didn’t stop them. He held us up for 28 minutes out pre workout had almost worn off. It’s better to go when it’s not staffed or they will harass you.

Through my insirance I get access to multiple gyms. I definitely favor this one. Clean and functional equipment, very clean locker room/restroom, friendly and helpful staff. It also holds the same small town feel I miss from my little hometown gym. Even when I earn my personal trainer certificate, no matter where I work, I will still choose to workout here.

I acquired several gym memberships through my insurance as a part of the Active & Fit program. Because of this I'm able to compare various local gyms. I have now been living in Cedar Rapids for 5 months. I am 100% convinced that iGym (especially Edgewood) is the superior choice out of the 3 gym brands I frequent in this area. First off, sign-up was a breeze and it included 3 iGym locations. The property is extremely clean, machines are appropriately spaced apart, there's a huge room for group classes. There are disinfecting buckets all over the place for easy access, plenty of lockers in the bathroom as well as clean showers. I don't watch the TVs but there are some in front of the cardio machines. The iGym equipment includes everything from your run-of-the-mill types to a few that not all gyms carry. The equipment is also very well-maintained. If it's out-of-order one day you can expect it to be back in function the next day. I can honestly say that this is my favorite gym. They're always open so I can come work out here before the sun comes up or if I get off work late. Don't mind the other places that try to sell you with their bright colors or fancy gimmicks. If you want a good workout, COME HERE!

The Igym on Edgewood is a fantastic workout facility! Having had some joint replacements, it fits my situation perfectly. It is never overcrowded, with an abundance of high quality equipment. You never have to wait on a machine,or weights. Staff and members are very friendly, it is kept quite clean, and there is a feeling of healthiness when you are there. You have easy access any time of day or night with plenty of parking. Whether you are a serious lifter, or you just want some cardio to brighten your day it is the perfect place. I've been going to iGym on Edgewood Rd. since shortly after they opened. 5 plus years? I love it here. Great equipment, well maintained. All the stuff I need, nothing I don't. It's no frills, I don't need the pools and saunas, spin classes or juice bars. They do have a few classes though but I've never used one. Friendly staff and clientele. And it's not a meat market gym, if you know what I mean.

I'm a big guy trying to get back in shape and I realistically don't see myself achieving success here. The machines are a hassle to get into comfortably and just again, a hassle to get a good workout on. This gym definitely caters to those who are already fit, and not those trying to make a change.
