This location is absolutely wonderful! The manager is fantastic and treats you like a real person, not just another member with a membership fee. The coaches are great and offer you alternatives even without being asked. There are no "cult" vibes, but rather a warm and welcoming environment for you to give your best, whatever that may be, that day!

I have never enjoyed exercising. However, I have been going to OTF for about 18 months now and it keeps me engaged and coming back. After every class I leave there physically worn out, yet energized. I have not repeated the same exercise routine yet. The coaches are encouraging and keep you going. There are a wide variety of class times and class formats so you can pick what fits in your schedule.

It’s an upbeat workout experience with lively music and upbeat instructors. It’s an efficient cardio workout that also works in some weightlifting. Why Orange Theory works so well for me is I can use my membership at locations all over the world when I travel. I’ve been to 39 studios. What sets Orange Theory locations apart from other fitness studios is the online signups which locks you in to the class. There’s a penalty fee for no shows or canceling your class less than 8 hours prior to your scheduled workout. This policy keeps you honest with your commitment.

The variety, the events, the equipment, and most of all the Coaches. They care about us and want us to achieve our goals. I am not normally a physically fit or workout type of person. At Cedar Rapids Orangetheory I don't feel judged or embarrassed. I am proud of each workout I crush and I am ready to crush another one. I actually want to sweat and workout. I get up 5 days a week at 3:45AM to knockout every 5Am workout. I get up for my Saturday 90 min class at 4:45AM. I get up for my Sunday 6:30AM class. If I did not love this workout and staff I would most definitely stay home and sleep. People who know me are amazed at my dedication and my physical change. I got muscles now. #CROTFLUVIT

I was absolutely terrified to join a gym. I was horrified at the weight I had gained, ashamed and embarrassed. I hadn't worked out hard since my college swimming career 25 years ago. Once I gained enough courage to try the first workout and convinced my husband to join with me, my life changed almost immediately. The structured and intense workouts are just what I need to keep me motivated and interested. Not only do I love the workouts, I love the OT staff and the rest of the members in my 8:30 classes have become my workout family. Thank you so much for coming to CR!

This was an incredible workout! I was treated so wonderful from the minute I came in to fill out paperwork (someone walked me through everything, which I loved) to the moment they introduced me to the trainer prior to the workout happening. She walked me through how to properly work all machines and what the floor work would entail. I never felt uncomfortable and I was pushed to my absolute limit for an hour! I was in the orange/red zone for 17 minutes and felt so great! I will absolutely be going back and will NEVER stop going to these classes! It was life changing for me and I look forward to working hard!

I really like the trainers. I'm one of the lucky Americans who is overweight and on multiple medications for high blood pressure, heart PVC's, type II diabetes and high triglycerides. I joined just to start making a difference from nothing. Three months later, I've already been able to drop the high blood pressure medication. The remaining heart PVC medication really prevents higher HBP and I was afraid I wouldn't be "wanted" or "welcomed" since it's really hard for me to get to the orange zone. The trainers have never once made me feel like I didn't belong there because of that. They are encouraging and truly concerned at my progress. I also like the darkened lighting, especially at 5AM.

The atmosphere is wonderful and it is so easy to fit a workout into any busy schedule. It's at your OWN pace, just with a coach there to motivate you through the experience and help with form and technique. I feel so good about myself afterwards. I love that I don't have to think about it! The trainer is going to tell me what to do and when to do it! I love that we can move at our own pace and still get an amazing, strong workout in. I am a slower runner that has to be careful with my body due to previous injuries and I love that I can manage my own workout within the confines of what the workout is for the day.

OTF is the only workout that I have been able to stick with for more than a few months. Why? Because every workout is different, so I never get board, because the energy in the room is amazing, because the members cheer each other on, because the coaches are rockstars and always pushing you to do your best, because the coaches truly care, because this is the best gym I've ever been to!

Orange Theory is by far been the best workout I have joined. If you’re going to spend money on yourself there is no better way than doing it with a KICK@$$ workout! It’s worth cutting out minor clothing, makeup, food subscriptions and fast food stops for putting money towards this workout. To the minute you walk in with the front desk, to the coaches, and side partner—you always get a nice warm greeting to start! Everyone knows you by name and really become family! Orange Theory truly cares about their community and members—they are always finding creative ways to give back. The best part about it is, you don’t have to worry about what you look like, not competing against your neighbor, or don’t feel bad if you walk instead of run! They’re so smart, they find ways to make your heart rate go up when you walk and get the same intensity as runners! It’s a workout between you and your own mind—and you get a workout summary emailed to your right after! Of course they have little competitions for those who are secretly competing…but they also have benchmark days and keep track of certain types of miles, rows, etc. EVERY DAY IS DIFFERENT! I have been doing this for almost a year now and there hasn’t been one day that I think, wow I had that same workout not to long ago. They have TV’s in there that keep you on track with each floor movement as well as demonstrating—so you’re never lost in your workout. If you want to better yourself, you have to invest in yourself…it’s worth it! Trust me, this is NOT JUST 30mins treadmill and 30mins floor routine stuff!!! If you think the cancellation fee is tough, I feel ya, we are all humans and they understand that. But it’s there for multiple reasons to keep the classes consistent as well as secretly get your butt out of bed for those AM classes! It’s a jedi mind trick! Honestly it’s kept me from skipping a lot of days, so if you find yourself skipping your gym, you wont here! It’s a tough 1hour workout so it’s definitely worth it!!! For me, I am already small but I have my tough areas, I started last Sept at 118lbs 4’12ft tall and now I am 105lbs and unfortunately the same height but hey, I lost 13lbs!!! I was 18.5% body fat and I am now 12% body fat. When you’re short that’s kind of a lot in those tough areas, since then arms and my legs way more define, feel stronger mentally and physically. They don’t have a weight machine there so you’ll have to keep track of all your progress yourself but after these long workouts you definitely will want to check out your progress! What they mainly care about is where you’re strength is at, if you’re improving your mile pace, rows, weights chances are you’re getting there! I have also struggled with confidence and stress so this workout as overall helped my mental state and kept positives vibes for me. It's not for everyone but I hope if you haven't tried it, you take option of trying the one free class! You will DEFINATELY see results.

Great workout that keeps me accountable and forces me to finish the routine. It was too easy for me to just end my workout at other gyms after 15 minutes. This is the best heart rate monitored program out there! I absolutely love coming and working out every day! I have tried other fitness classes and I would highly recommend OTF over anything else! The workouts are different every day but you get a full-body workout every time and leave exhausted (which means it's a good challenge!). The staff at the Cedar Rapids location is knowledgeable, encouraging and they challenge you to push yourself all while keeping you safe. I can feel a major difference in my aerobic abilities since I joined in August and have more energy every day!

This is the best gym by a long shot in Cedar Rapids! There are Orange Theory gyms throughout the country its popular because of the unique workouts and finding ways to push you to your limit. There are beginners and long time gym goers. The coaches at OTF in Cedar rapids are incredibly knowledgeable and well rounded. They are able to help with form, explain movements, and answer any dietary questions. They keep the upbeat tempo going throughout the class! I'd recommend OTF to family, friends, co workers!!!!

I had fallen out of a routine of working out and lost muscle mass and gained weight over a two year period. I hired a personal trainer to get me motivated and back on track. That was expensive and I found myself still only working out the couple times a week I met with him. ORANGETHEORY came to town and I had already heard the buzz of how great it was thru connections in the industry in other cities. I knew I had to give it a try (& it would save me money!) I LOVE IT!!! I love just showing up and being told what to do, how, etc. All the instructors are motivating and knowledable. Every single day is different yet there is consistency in the verbiage used and the exercises expected of us. It's by far the best group exercise program I've ever done.

Each day is a new challenge for me as OTF never has the same workout which is great cause I never get bored!
The coaches at OTF CR are amazing. Each coach is there to help me correct my form when it is bad and there to cheer me on when they notice me pushing myself with higher speeds on the treadmills or heavier weights on the floor.
Most importantly I am getting fit, buying new clothes, noticing better, faster runs and overall. I feel better about myself because of the OTF workout.
