Very pleased with the many machines and treadmills to use. I enjoy the tanning beds and aqua massage chairs. I like that I don't have to compete with others who have name brand workout clothes and expensive shoes. I am happy to wear my regular sweat pants and basic walking shoes.

This was my first time at this location, and I was really happy with the experience, even though it’s not my usual gym. Everything was very clean, and the staff was consistently friendly. Tell me how this makes sense: 3 sinks in the bathroom, only 2 have soap dispensers, and the paper towel dispenser closest to the working sinks broke and was taken down. If you walk out of the far left stall, you have to walk to the far right end to get soap, back to the far left end to get a paper towel, and then back to the far right to leave 🤔 which is fine as long as there isn't anyone else trying to side step around you to do the same.

I just joined after not working out for so many years. Staff is super helpful with any questions and it's a very non judgemental place if you're new to working out and inexperienced like I felt the first few days I went. They have excellent equipment and if you don't know how to use a machine the app is a great tool to use to find out how to use it correctly. Plus the black card membership is very reasonably priced. Very affordable. Overall I'm impressed with this place.

Do not get a membership here.. they mine as well be a scam. To even cancel your membership you have to either go in or write a letter and mail it in. Even when you cancel your membership they will still continue to charge your account. When you call in to get it fixed the normal employees cannot help you, you just speak with a manger. This wouldn’t be an issue except the manager is never there. The employees don’t even know when the manager will be there or not.

With this said it is not the employees fault and they have all been very kind on the phone.

Came here to restart a membership, but a lot has changed. You now must sign up through the app. However, there was an issue with the app and when I asked for help from the guy at the front desk, he couldn't help me. How am I supposed to come back to PF when the employees aren't even able to sign me up when technology fails?

Edit: After the PF support team reached out to me, they were able to help me re-enroll. I appreciate the help and now I'm excited that my wife and I are both on the path.

Plenty of treadmills, ellipticals and stationary bicycles. Free weight area could be a bit bigger. Locker rooms are nice and clean. Don't know about the black card holder area yet. Haven't had any issues yet but I question some of their policies. Plenty of equipment cleaning stations. Weight machines are simple to adjust and appear to be well maintained. Just wish one of the drinking fountains included a water bottle filling station--it would be soooooooooooo much easier.

Like going there for workouts, there are plenty of machines to use, so little waiting. Being new to workouts, I wish the staff was more helpful about helping you learn how to operate the equipment. It's kind of self-serve, but I was told there would be trainers to help. I will figure it out through YouTube as a best bet, I was told.

Great atmosphere, clean place, and helpful staff. You can see people of all ages, shapes, and walks of life. Only one thing I'm not a big fan of is the water fountain. The water pressure is low, filters don't seem to be replaced regularly, and there is no bottle filler . People had to turn the water spout, which isn't meant to be turned, in order to fill their water bottles. Can Planet Fitness management consider getting a new Elkay water fountain with bottle filling station?

The interaction with staff this evening made it very clear that new members are not welcome here. When I arrived, the person behind the counter was preoccupied with his cell phone and did not answer for the first several minutes. He continued to be dismissive in his demeanor when I asked for assistance with signing up, stating “you can sign up online by searching for planet fitness membership on google.” No tour was offered, no explanation of plans or their benefits. Nothing more than “do you have any questions?” When I proceeded to ask questions, I was referred to return later and ask a manager. I won’t be returning, and I encourage others searching for gym services to consider this experience when determining whether or not they wish to waste their time as I did today.

After speaking with the manager Michael this morning. I went in and spoke to him and the trainer kris. The experience was a thousand times better and the trainer and I came up with a plan after a full walkthrough and explanation of how to log in. And the procedures. The manager said he would be speaking to the employee I mentioned. He was really understanding and awesome in person. I am redoing the review to reflect the better experience.

Yesterday I went in to sign up. The desk attendant has his back turned to me. I had to say something to him. I expressed concern at giving my routing as bank information on an open tablet. He dismissed me completely. I signed up anyway. He stood with his back to me the entire time. I waited 5 minutes I assumed he was finishing my sign up. When I asked if he needed anything he said no. No welcome no offer to show me around despite my saying I needed some help in starting. He went to get the on duty trainer and left me waiting. He gave me the trainers number. I texted and still haven't heard anything.

He never did explain sign in he didn't give me any information on what to do. His personality was terrible and unwelcoming. My sign up could have been a 10 min process but I was standing around for over 30 mins waiting for some information or explanation of where to start.

I will use my month. But if the customer service doesn't get better I'll be cancelling and going to fits instead.

I went to planet fitness on a guest pass because I filled out something on their website. I was only going to be in town for this one day, and wanted some place to work out at. I can't say enough about this facility. Besides struggling to have enough staff to run they are motivated and always have a smile and a positive attitude. The gym is kept amazingly clean. The equipment, locker room and bathrooms are very well kept and sanitizing solutions are abound inside the establishment. My VIP membership is a cost saving in so many ways. Excellent tanning beds and a perfect location help me maximize my off time and save money.

I have been a member for at least 5 years. It has always had a problem with TVs. The machines equipped to connect to TVs via earbuds are all staticky or the stations don’t match the keyboard on machines. When I find one that works while working out, my experience is best. But before COVID it was happening and when I returned after COVID almost two years later and new machines it is worse than ever. When I share with employees my concerns I get “ we know but nothing can be done” REALLY???? Other than that it is a great club and most employees seem friendly and it seems very clean.

Honestly 5 stars normally but disheartened to learn that some mornings the opening person simply doesn’t show up. It’s currently almost 6 and they’re supposed to be open at 5. After talking with several others waiting in the parking lot I am hearing “oh, this happens ALLLL the time”. Not cool since this is a great location and great price. Hopefully they can figure it out. Cedar Falls Planet Fitness is hit or miss if you are a morning person. They open at 7am on Saturdays & I was there at 8am, but the doors were locked. I waited for 30 minutes and still a staff member hadn’t showed up. Talking with the other gym members in the parking lot this has happened before with the morning staff not showing up on time. If this continues to happen I will be changing gyms. I have 2 stars because the facility is clean.

Very much enjoy membership at PF and go to gym nearly every day, my only complaint is that the sound on the TV’s does not work. At the present time only one of 7 screens has sound and that is starting to sound fuzzy. I have made staff aware of this issue and I know other members have as well. My time at the gym is so much better and passes so quickly when I am able to listen to the show I am watching. Thank you so much for addressing this issue.

For one the lady put me in bed 5 and the other Lady put a male in same room so someone kept knocking then wouldn't answer I finally got into it and it wouldn't work then I had hide behind door cause the worker opened it whole I was totally undressed then got into the bed it won't work so I had to get dressed and go out there and ask them what's up then they told me 9 minutes and it was only 6 minutes at this point I'm just canceling my almost 3 year membership out was embarrassing and I'm not happy

I forgot my key card maybe 3-4 times out of the 2-3 years I’ve gone to planet fitness. Every single time, all I had to do was tell them my name, and it was no problem for them to look me up. The last time I came in, and will be in, is because of one of the really muscular trainers (can’t remember his name) was extremely rude and impatient. He obviously didn’t want me there, and after explaining to him that this had happened to me a few times before, and I was looked up in the system with no issue, he became even more upset and tried turning the situation around on me and told me I was somehow being disrespectful. He was obviously upset from the moment I got to the counter, and acted with zero professionalism at all. This was the first time I’ve ever spoken with him as well; and I’m never the type to get upset towards people who work in customer service. This is maybe the 4-5th review I’ve ever left in my entire life. But I certainly can’t wait to come in and cancel.

I love working out at PF! This has been my favorite place to work out in Cedar Falls. I have been a member at both Snap & the Rec Center and never felt a sense of community. The machines are clean and maintained. There are lots of treadmills, elliptical machines, and a variety of weight lifting options. My favorite parts of PF are the employees and the classes. They seem to really enjoy being at work and are super helpful when you need something. A few of them even know me by name! The classes are fun and Brad, the trainer, does a great job of pushing the class but still making it a great time. I am glad I made the decision to join! Thanks for the smiling faces you guys & gals!
