Can you get rid of the little guy that worked at 3:30am on Oct 10th. My entire workout he was walking around me on his phone cursing and laughing really loud. Then when I got in my car to leave he was outside doing the same thing. He needs to read the planet fitness rules of courtesy and respect. Very rude.

Always a great experience at my local Planet Fitness! The variety of workout equipment makes it easy to get a full workout, whether I’m focusing on cardio or strength training. The gym is always clean and well-maintained, which makes working out even more enjoyable. It’s never too crowded when I go, so I can easily find machines without waiting. Plus, the friendly staff and Black Card perks, like the massage chairs, add to the overall experience. Definitely a great gym for anyone looking for an affordable and welcoming place to work out!

I've been to a couple hundred PF clubs all over the country, and I rate all of them from 3-5, based on size, as well as quality and quantity of equipment. This is definitely a 3-star facility. It's probably the smallest PF club I've ever been to. It's missing A LOT of the machines that the larger/better facilities have, and the dumbbells only go up to 75#. And they chose Matrix, which are the WORST cardio machines (which I never understand, when the far superior Life Fitness machines are an option for all PF gyms).

I do give them great credit for having closed-captioning on all the TVs, which every gym should do (but, inexplicably, most don't). If I lived in the area, I'm sure I would come here, since it's a nice, clean club that's not busy, and it has friendly staff...but, overall, I'm not impressed compared to all others.

Price is very reasonable for the Black membership. The membership is $25 plus $50 a year so a total of $350 a year. I did some shopping around and your average gym costs $600 a year after you factor in all the fees. Plus the membership also comes with Hydro massage chairs, personal training classes and discounted sports drinks. I was most happy about the free personal training classes you can sign up for. They have them Monday through Friday and even have some evening hours if you have a 9-5 job. If you try to get a personal trainer somewhere else, the minimum is $40 a hour if you’re lucky. Overall this is a great gym for really anyone and they are very inclusive and friendly.

I leave happy and feeling healthier each time I work out. The trainers in the videos are so encouraging. Locker rooms on facility are well kept. Over all great staff and customer service. I also encourage black card membership to use tanning, hydrobeds and sauna service. Membership (black card) also provides 50% off for certain drinks.

I enjoy working out here. There are plenty of machines to get the job done. It's never too busy when I go. The app shows me how busy I can expect it to be as well. The thing I do not like is the lack of free weights. There are dumbells, but you have to use a Smith machine to do chest.

I went here as a guest of my daughters and I highly recommend. She has the black card which includes tanning beds and massage chairs. Every time I go with her it's incredibly clean and very well maintained. The staff is also very attentive and kind/nice. Lots of equipment to choose from. And I think the price is very reasonable.

I have only been a member for a month, I am always greeted when I arrive and very rarely have to wait for equipment. I love to tan and they have awesome lay down and stand up bed. The hydro beds are amazing for massage I use those every time I go they help me with my back pain, helps to rub out the knots in my muscles in my back.

As a truck driver, I go to a lot of different planet fitness locations. The PF in Mason City is BY FAR the best location in Iowa and likely one of the best in the region. The equipment is in excellent condition, everything works! That in itself is a rarity, most locations have either really old equipment, damaged equipment, etc. Mason City is the exception. The staff was super friendly as well. I called ahead to let them know I would be coming in a semi and they were super accommodating. Most Planet Fitness locations allow you to park a semi but most parking lots are difficult to maneuver and parking is limited. Again, not so with Mason City.
Another bit that's important to me is the hydro massage and total body enhancement machines. I always use them and the ones at Mason City were clean and worked well. The shower facilities are also top notch. Got water and clean showers.
This gym was super good, top notch equipment, terrific staff and clean. Highly recommend this location

My wife and I live in and travel the country in our motorhome. We use planet fitness for work outs and showers because of ease of finding them all over the country. The location in Mason Iowa was an especially clean and welcoming place. The lady at the desk was very nice and helpful and very generous with local information. We attend a motorhome event every year in Forest City and will make Mason City PF a regular stop.

Gym is clean, and equipment is nice. However I recently signed up and my second morning going to the gym before work the gym didn’t get opened. Sat outside for about 30 minutes and no one ever showed up, doors were still locked an hour after it was suppose to open. I don’t know if this is a one off, but disheartening when it happened on my second day at the gym.

It’s a great facility. Super clean. Changing rooms and showers are clean and handy. Don’t forget your towel! Equipment consists of every machine you’d want. Plenty of space with every other treadmill/bike/etc blocked off for social distancing. The red light therapy and massage bed are just a wonderful bonus!

Didn't have a problem till I cancelled on the 14th. Worker said everything was fine and I didn't owe anything. Checked my bank 2 weeks later and they took out dues. Called and asked why and they explained I should have been in the 10th if I didn't want to get charged. Need more training all around I guess.
