My two daughters started at tribe a few years ago with both having some high-level interest in Cheer. I signed them both up for Intro to All Stars, and had an excellent experience. The staff, and management is all very active in each and every step of their learning, and development. The coaches are all well-trained and I was really pleased to see that safety is a top priority on every level of cheer. My oldest went into dance, and my youngest has been on the novice team, then the prep team, and this year is doing the Elite Program. I was a new cheer mom, and any questions I had were answered promptly by both coaches, or by Dan, Britny, Baylee, etc. It truly feels like a family when you are a part of Tribe athletics, and my daughter who is almost 8 just absolutely loves it at Tribe! We have been part of Tribe about 4 years now and have no complaints at all. I would highly recommend that if you have a kiddo seriously interested in tumbling, and/or cheer, that you give Tribe a try!

Had a group of stunt/cheer athletes say "a random Asian guy walked in or whatever he is", needless to say that was racist. Nice Adult open gym for one hour though, no AC conditioning but still very decent. But that was off-putting for anyone to say & sometimes have a weird experience with the staff like I'm annoying them or something.

My daughter was with Tribe for one Intro to All-Stars class. She got upset a couple times, as could any 4 year old, being left for her first individual class. I never heard a complaint or concern from the coaches. I thought she had a wonderful time and the performance at the end was great. I signed her up a second time and have had the worst experience. I have tried to communicate with the Manager, Dan, whom has sense ignored any communication after telling me he would look into the situation. Second day of class I walked inside because I noticed my daughter sitting away from the group. As I stood by the emergency exit doors she said to my daughter 'you don't listen very well do you?' Never complained to me or told me there was ever an issue. I brushed it off as my daughter maybe not following directions. Came back the next day to have my mother watch the teacher pointing her finger down at her and what looked to be scolding her. According to my daughter she asked for help because she didn't know how to do a summersault and was told to go to time-out. I have tried to address the concerns with Dan. Took him a few days to get back to me to then provide him a response to questions he had asked me, and then never hear from him again. I emailed him two more times asking if he had an update on reimbursing me or what came of the staff issues and how they spoke to my daughter, but Dan won't speak to me now. There phone number does not work on their site or they choose not to return messages and the email goes to the front desk, Dan will answer only if he wishes too. So good luck with any issues you may have unless you have time to go in person and address him, he could careless.

Absolutely love Tribe Athletics and what they stand for. Great atmosphere for my kiddo to learn and grow! The best team environment you could ask for. Watching everyone support one another is so heartwarming.
The coaches are amazing and truly inspiring. They never rush your kiddos to get skills, they are always building up your kiddos confidence and supporting them.

If I could give Tribe 0 stars I would. First off, I would like to address how disorganized it is and how small and hot the space is. The βstaffβ and coaches are not welcoming and helpful. If we didnβt know one of the moms already in the class we would have had no idea what to do on our first day. We are not allowed in the facility, however the few times I have stepped in, Iβve found my daughters teachers not paying attention and sitting on their phones instead of teaching. My daughter is 5 years old, in tumbling. We are unable to watch, which I do understand for safety and to limit distraction. However other facilities offer areas to view privately to eliminate distractions. We get no progress or evaluation reports to know how things are going. The βcoachesβ are essentially children themselves. However what really solidified my decision to pull my daughter was that one day her teachers decided to end class early, they normally go until 6:55. Parents are to wait in their cars. At 6:50 my daughter and two other girls in her class came running across the parking lot to my car.. Completely unsupervised. The parking lot is extremely busy and someone could have easily been hurt. I immediately went in and spoke with the teacher who gave me completely ridiculous excuses as to how they were able to get out of the building. Honestly, this should be reported to the state as my child is Tribes responsibility when in their care and they canβt even be trusted to keep our children safe. I donβt recommend ANYONE take their small children here.

My daughter has attended 2 programs here and she loves it! The staff is friendly and professional. They were even willing to be flexible with their scheduling as we had an unforeseen situation where she wasnβt able to attend so the rescheduled her to a later date class.

I am disappointed I have yo give them one star as they deserve 0. This gym can basically be summed up as you walk in and see all the staff on their cell phones and all the participants grouped in their cliques. It does not feel like a tribe. It does not feel inclusive and the (individuals who I believe are the owners- but they never spoke to me) owners lack integrity. If it wasnβt for a kind parent showing us what to do, we would not have known that first day as no one even acknowledged us or took my daughter back when it was time for her class. I would look at Iowa Elite Cheer. Todd and Ali (today was our first day) greeted us and have a strong work ethic, clear instruction, clear communication, and clear roles for all employees. You will never get that at Tribe.

I can see why they donβt let parents stay.
When I arrived my child yelled across the floor βcan I go I hate it hereβ while he worked on progressive skills he was done with 3 years ago he learned from a toddler class.
The instructor did not interact with him or me once, including when a full water bottle fell on his head. She didnβt even assess his skill level, he can already do what the girls were trying to learn.
Then they charged me for a full month after one introductory class and immediate cancellation.
Absolutely terrible experience from start to finish.

My HS cheerleading squad has been attending Tribe for camp for four years now. From day 1, we have had the BEST experience. Dan and his crew have not only helped us completely transform skill-wise, but they have always been so personable, making a point to learn everyone's name right away. Even though they work with many squads, they tailor the camp experience to YOU and your needs, and they make you feel like you are the only squad they work with. The price for camps is definitely reasonable, especially compared to UCA/NCA camps, and you can travel to them or they will come to you. My only complaint is that we don't live closer to be able to attend open gyms or have kids be a part of an amazing all-star program!! I highly recommend any HS cheer coach to look into doing camp with them! You won't regret it!

Hot conditions outside and inside. I went in early to watch my daughter do gymnastics. She asked the instructor if she could fill up her water bottle so she could drink. She had a headache. Instructor told her no.

Dan is a great guy. I hear a lot of the boys were kept focused due to the gym and its opportunity and goals it provided for them. I have a lot of respect for the people here and what they stand for. From an outsider looking in, everyone on team appears to be very much like family.

Best Gym Around! Your child is part of a family/ "Tribe" at this gym not just a number. Every coach cares with their whole heart giving each athlete the time and information they need to be successful in cheer as well as helping with life!

Utterly displeased with the handling of a certain situation by one of their owners. Was very patient with them, only to get the run around at the end. Seems that money was greater than the best interest of the kids at the end of the day.
And yet their response is absolute bs. They are more concerned about money than the kids.
Itβs also sad that they can respond here, yet donβt have the decency to return calls or emails, after saying multiple times that they would get back to me. That lack of response shows that they know their reasoning is bogus.
