When they first opened, everything was nice. But then stuff started breaking as far as equipment. They only have one leg extension machine and everyone wants to use it. It’s very popular and good luck getting to use it. I also did personal training and even after I followed the instructions to cancel, they still charged me 3 months after the fact. I had to go through my credit card company to dispute the charges. I felt like it was an act of congress to get anything accomplished but after 3 months, they finally stopped charging my credit card. I did enjoy the sauna, sun beds, the variety of equipment when I was able to use it, and my training sessions. My trainers were very nice and knowledgeable. I think the entire experience with my card getting charged 3 months after the fact, the service that I experienced while that was going on and only one machine for very popular equipment lead me to a 3 star rating. When I did cancel my membership, everything went smoothly because I wrote a letter, I stayed to watch them cancel it and I took pictures of the screen that it was actually cancelled as my proof that I did in fact cancel it. I was told I would get an email for cancellation but that’s never happened so I am glad I did have physical proof that I cancelled. I think the gym needs a lot of work as far as customer service goes.

Absolutely terrible experience with sales rep Gavin. Been a member for a 1+ year. Paid my $10 fee/mo and apparently after a year you automatically roll onto a month-to-month, which is fine (that’s $15.99) with no notice of contract ending or any promotion to resign another contract, however you then have to pay an annual fee! 75$ for this “month to month” which doesn’t make sense considering anual means yearly? Again, okay, let’s resign on to a year please! Nope, another 75$ fee to resign. $150 to resign onto a subpar, overcrowded, always dirty, low staffed and corrupt administration team. Gavin was not only extremely rude as I was asking to see the terms I actually signed, to make sure I wasn’t getting screwed. He began to grow extremely frustrated with me as I asked questions regarding the new contract and asked for any possible solutions to avoid ridiculous outstanding fees. I am pregnant and was very calm and collected simply asking why I was being charged 17/mo for a 10/mo membership. Which turned into me being berated and taunted as if I was the stupid one for signing up. I immediately terminated my membership due to the lack of empathy, lack of consideration, and inability to resolve a what seems to be very common issue with the company. Their sales team sucks and would get a lot further with people if they were simply nicer and accommodating. I would never recommend this gym in a 1000 years. Do yourself a favor and go to the Shawnee location where they actually care about you if you’re not white, wealthy, or fit.

Great gym,.price is outstanding and unlike Planet Fitness they have a great free weight selection including various bench presses and squat racks, they have plenty of available classes and workout stations, I haven't had to wait for a machine. Child care is also available onsite.

You want the bottom line, here it is:

If you join for $.10, you will pay for the next month even if you don’t like the services. IT IS NOT A TRIAL!

In order to not pay for the next month following you need to let them know 30 days in advance. If you decide in a week it’s not for you, too bad. The contract makes you liable for the next month plus possibly maintenance ($60)

I couldn’t live like this. I got a free month across the street. Less cost, less services (no daycare etc.)

However, you can cancel over there as long as you contact them more than 7 days before billing. Better yet you can freeze for up to 24 months. This is a must for me since I’m out of the area for summers.

If you’re all about crunch, more power to you! This was my first rodeo and I’m not committing to a place, I’m committing to a lifestyle change. I need the flexibility.

Please don’t get upset with crunch because you don’t read the contract. Crunch, you should be more upfront without how you bill etc. you’ll make a whole lot less people upset. Better to lose a customer, than lose an angry one. You could also change your policy. Two stars off for not telling people what I told them.

Locker room is disgusting. I asked the General Manager, Gavin, how often his team checks the locker room in the morning and I was told “it depends on who is working.” A disappointing answer to hear that it depends on when the club is going to be clean. More often than not, the state of the bathroom is abysmal. Please follow more structured cleaning procedures.

SHADY COMPANY!! JUST STAY AWAY!!
Dont sign up with any of these CRUNCH gyms. If you move or hurt yourself, they don't care. They make canceling at anytime very expensive. I signed up in Columbia while I was doing some volunteer work at the VA hospital. No one told me about the "clause" within the membership. Went to cancel and was told I had to come back to Columbia to cancel in person or send a certified letter. So I sent one that cost me $7. I've been billed the monthly charge again and they also billed me $60 equipment fees! I may have attended the gym a total of 14 days. Im seeing these type of review all over. This is a shady company. Looks like they spend more time/effort sending BS charges off to collection then they do maintaining these gyms. SHADY COMPANY. STAY AWAY!!!

First time in Crunch Fitness - Olathe today, amazing experience. Walked in, not knowing how to check-in, both employees at desk were super helpful. Even told me of all the options to check-in. After my workout, they answered other questions I had. Clean gym, busy but not overcrowded. Plenty of different areas, even though I just did cardio today. Top class. Also nice to see people actually focused on bettering themselves - unlike PF where people stand around talking and playing on their phones. And for a low price of $10 for the base membership (that includes the sauna!), my new home for fitness!

Good value for the price.

A concern I have at this location is they only have one leg extension and one leg curl machine. It is very rare to see them not occupied.

A suprise I had when visiting Crunch in Shawee KS, is they had two leg extension & two leg curl machines. Same thing in Colleyville TX, two machines each.

The olathe location is bigger than the other two crunch locations that I visited, so I wonder what decision was made to only have one of each.

Don’t get a membership with this company, nothing to do with location. You cannot cancel your membership unless you go in person or send them a letter. On top of this they will charge you for cancelling their membership.
Stay clear away from this company. If you don’t believe me just do a quick google search or give them a call and they will tell you the same thing. If only they didn’t overcrowd their gyms or make it near impossible to cancel they might have a chance to keep customers.

BEWARE!!!!!! I got into a car accident shortly after joining and i consistently kept in contact with the trainer about it and why i couldn't make it( i had no car, it was in the shop for a month) the rental was an iffy situation. I have proof of the conversation and i was told i wouldn't be charged, i came back to find out that i owed 400 from when i never came because it was a commitment in the contract. In the app is says i will not be charged when i cancel an appointment( he gave a stupid answer to that which made no sense and i can't even remember) once we started working out i felt pain down my shoulder so i told my trainer i think something is wrong. i went to get x-rays for it and was recommended physical therapy (service connected injury). On their site it literally says so not workout if you're in pain and to consult a doctor. The manager calls me and says i now owe 800 and i'm confused once again because i had not gone since that day. He says i need a doctors not and i tell him well id have to wait until i see a doctor (VA takes forever) and he then tells me well you have to pay because it's a commitment and i say well i haven't been there so i'm not paying but if it's commitment then we can push it back until i'm better. He goes rambling on about commitments and how i need to pay. i tell him i'm not paying and he threatens to send me to collections and i say okay. two weeks later i get a fraud alert from my bank for 1200!!.CROOKs will not answer their phones!

I was one of the first clients, I had really a good deal, I was happy with the gym overall. Had to cancel because I was moving from Olathe, I even went in person to settle any debts with crunch, after I talked to manager he said i didn’t have anything pending; after two months first credit came charging me $500 dollars of charges from their partner “Crunch Fitness Olathe”. After called first credit inc I told them I wouldn’t pay; they came back to me 09/11/25 asking to negotiate the bill. I honestly don’t think this is fair way to do business and you guys should not bring lying to people for no reason.

Consistently out of paper towels, dirty bathrooms, broken machines, or machines that are torn up. Roof still leaks after 8 months, same spots.

Often times staff are seen goofing around and having a good time, which makes for a great fun environment. But thats a rough public perception when machines are squeaky, trash bags are left out next to the trash cans, cleaning wipes and spray are empty. And random trash are left around. It shouldn't be that difficult for more staff to assist the one or two cleaning staff you have on duty. Not to mention trying to get a proper cleaning on Friday nights. We can tell that all the urine in the men's bathroom was left from the night before.

Otherwise, gym culture here is pretty nice. And paying $10/mo, you get what you pay for.

Title: Does the Job

I switched from Planet Fitness to Crunch. The equipment is decent and the gym is generally clean. The staff is welcoming, which I really appreciate. My only complaint is that they only have one leg extension machine. The seat pad wears out quickly—usually within a month—and it breaks often, which makes it frustrating. Other than that, I’d still recommend this gym overall.

Crunch Fitness at this location has serious maintenance and cleanliness issues. The handle on the lat pulldown Hammer Strength machine has been broken for months, along with other equipment that’s either out of order or gives inaccurate resistance. It takes way too long—sometimes months—for repairs to happen.

The gym floor is often dirty, and paper towel dispensers are regularly empty during peak hours, leaving members to work out in unsanitary conditions. This isn’t just inconvenient—it’s a health risk. The men’s sauna is no better, with poor upkeep making it unpleasant and unhygienic.

While Crunch offers a variety of equipment and space, the lack of timely repairs, cleanliness, and basic upkeep shows a clear neglect for member experience and safety. For the cost of membership, members deserve far better standards. They need to add more machines for the machines people have to line up and wait for. Currently looking elsewhere. This gym is not even worth the gas during peak hours.

It's an okay gym. They change their hrs every couple of months and don't even stay open when they say they are. Went on Monday at 9pm and they were closed. They say they are open till midnight. Don't try to go in the afternoons, so packed you wait around most of the time. Nothing makes this place special.

7/23/25: out of paper towels again! Previous: This gym is new to the building and parking lot and dealing with owner/developer problems. Roof leaks, doors not working, parking lot potholes everywhere, equipment not working, TVs off or not working, and cleaning wipes are regularly empty. They have numerous personal trainers who don't consider themselves employees who care for the facilities. I keep glancing at planet fitness which is right across the street. Who knows, maybe I'll go there.

Been on the phone with this company since i’ve woken up this morning at 5:27AM this morning. A Hailey stated that their manager would be in by 11AM. Called at 11 some man asked if i was the person calling earlier in the morning i said yes and he hung up. Called back again and he stated he couldn’t do anything for me to call back around 1/2. Exactly what i did now they’re answering the phone and just letting me hear what’s going in the background they took about 64 dollars from me never been to facility ever but now I am going to spread the word to not deal with these money hungry people.

I signed up for a $1 registration fee back in the summer 2024 (incase I wanted to go to Crunch with friends) and I was told that I wasn't signing up for a membership or making an account. Then when they opened I was charged a membership for 2 months and they stopped charging me. I called to cancel my membership and a lady answered with additude and hung up on me without canceling my membership. I have never been to Crunch and I already go to a different gym. Now in July 2025 I was just sent something in the mail informing me that I have $250 in debt owed to Crunch.

DO NOT join this gym or sign up for personal training! Their head trainer, Flex, is nothing more than a salesman and it seems like he gets a cut for every member that signs up for PT. I recently cancelled my training sessions and he confirmed with me, in person, that the last payment I submitted on 6/22/25 would be my last. Well, one of the trainers there told me to keep an eye out for possible charges because he's had clients run into issues of being charged AFTER cancelling personal training, and lo and behold I was charged even though I was assured I wouldn't be. This seems to be a common practice amongst all Crunch Fitness gyms as I looked at the BBB website and saw hundreds of complaints with similar stories. I've already contacted the Flex and demanded a refund but based on what I've seen, it doesn't look like I'll be getting any money back. Again, DO NOT sign up for personal training at this gym. In fact, totally steer clear from this place.

EDIT: You, as the owner, need to look into this trainer. There are A LOT of clients that aren’t happy with him right now. I’ll leave it up to you figure out why. And no, Crunch absolutely does not handle erroneous charges promptly. This is the second time I’ve had issues with being charged improperly. When I brought it up to the head trainer he didn’t even remember that I had signed a cancellation form RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM!! I’ve already reached out to my bank to dispute the charge and will be completely canceling my membership. Again, everyone needs to steer clear of this place.

I've been going to this gym for 5 months now. I'm very surprised at the amount of negative reviews.

I go almost everyday with cardio on my off lifting days.

There are some valid criticisms:
Yes, if you go during peak hours the gym will be busy! Duh, most people will go after work.
Yes, they have limited leg extensions but plenty of squat racks and other spaces where you can work the same muscle group if you need to.
Yes, kids crunch did have some staffing issues. Those have been very much resolved. In the last 5 months there were maybe 2 days when they didn't have staffing and this is from someone coming with kids 7 days a week.

Here's where I think the criticisms are wrong:
This gym is CLEAN. I always see the cleaning crew in here working during the day. Sometimes one container is out of wipes but you can walk 20 more feet and find one that isn't. There's TONS of wipes available.

Everyone here is really nice. Front staff, trainers, ect. I've turned down trainers and they've always been extremely kind and professional about it. I've been working with Dionte 'boo' Smith for 3 months and I've been seeing great results. I use to lift and took a long break and he's been showing me new things, correcting form and I'm down over 30lbs of fatmass going from 29% to 19% bodyfat in 3 short months. My wife is working with Rosie and has seen similar results. It's worth, every penny we've spent!

The kids crunch staff is super friendly and my kids 2/4 always have a blast when they go. Its great to be able to get them out of the house during the summer and socializing with other kids in a clean environment.

The parking lot isn't really painted but who needs lines? I mean seriously. If you're that worried park in the back where no one does and get some extra steps!

Management is always responsive to my critiques and fixing them when I tell them in person. Never once have they made me feel unwelcomed.

I've lifted at 24 hr fitness, planet fitness and genesis and this gym is easily the cleanest, most professional gym I've lifted at. I really enjoy working out here. I cant say enough about how welcoming and unjudgemental this space is. I think Flex is doing a stellar job at creating an amazing culture here all the way around.

I cant recommend Dionte, Rosie, Cody or Andre enough. If you need a trainer hit one of them up!!

If I could give a zero star, I absolutely would.
The conversation on the phone was going decent until I explained to him that my account was supposed to be canceled back in February which it was not . So I’ve been making monthly payments, the gentleman told me that my account would be canceled in August and that I had to still pay either $10-$15 (“it’s only 10 or $15 “)it’s not a matter of the price it’s the principal, I told him I was not going to pay that, and then I was already in contact with my bank and is already blocking them from any further transactions. He explained to me that I can call back to talk to the manager when they come in and when I said thank you he hung up on me.
Didn’t really see why he felt the need to hang up especially when I was polite and courteous never even raised my voice or cussed because it’s not his fault. I don’t know who I spoke to in the beginning in February. I even told him thank you.
Customer service is definitely not in his field. That is for sure.

I was told before opening by MULTIPLE employees that I could cancel whenever I wanted. (Chris (curly haired white boy- not the manager), Bam(he had a man bun?) and a young man with dreads- all came to my job and offered me a membership. (A lot of people came into my job offering us memberships)
Once they opened AFTER I signed up, (after I was actually basically HARRASSED to sign up) they said I HAD to pay at least 2 months, PLUS pay the annual fee, AFTER they told us we could cancel WHENEVER we wanted,(pre opening and that we wouldn’t have to pay anything) but once they opened- they told us that we couldn’t. We were lied to about memberships before hand and the GM Chris is never there to actually answer any questions. And when he is there- he directs everything over to his assistant manager. The gym is beautiful and the equipment is amazing. But trying to speak to actual management is an absolute nightmare.
More specifically- you can never get the GM Chris (I don’t know his last name) to actually speak on anything because he is NEVER there. Most of the time it’s teenagers who can’t do anything bc they don’t have the authority to.
The gym is GREAT, the equipment is amazing. The trainers and the classes are the the best.
But I’m tired of talking to teenagers who don’t know what they’re doing- only for the manager to not even be able to answer their calls.

First time in the new gym today, overall it's nice. The mens bathrooms were destroyed, toilet paper thrown about the bathroom floor and no papertowels to be found. Tons of equipment but only one leg extension machine which is VERY ODD considering there are multiple of everything else and leg extensions are a very popular workout and to only have one machine for them... well that's just really poor planning. Wash cloths would be a very nice touch for wiping the benches down vs the 1ply paper towels that are available but literally fall apart once you get them slightly damp with the cleaning solution. I will change my review to 5 stars if the staff get better at managing the facilities and management can properly equip the gym for all the customers and business they're anticipating. I want this gym to succeed. Goodluck.

Update June 26 2025.
The gyms still absolutely filthy, the bathrooms are disgusting, blood has been on the floor for a few days now, tp and paper towels are a rare find. Not very impressed, I think the only reason people come here is because they have more equipment than PF and are cheaper than genesis. Joining a different gym when promotions start at other places. This play hasn't been open long and already going down hill.

I hardly have any complaints. There are plenty of power racks, deadlift platforms, treadmills, etc and everything is in working order.

My only complaint is this: 3 times since I've been working out here, the fire alarms have gone off and everyone has been asked to go outside. I asked one of the firefighters about it this time and he seemed to think it was happening due to a known problem with the detectors. The employees said they had no idea what was going on.

Given that the first time it happened was at least a month ago, it seems like management just hasn't bothered to fix the problem. Please fix this, you guys. It's a big disruption to everyone's day and workout when it happens. I don't have any other issues- will gladly leave a better review once you fix this one problem.

As a paying member of Crunch Fitness, I find it absolutely unacceptable that the parking lot remains in such disarray. The complete lack of painted lines to designate parking spaces is not just inconvenient—it’s dangerous. With the volume of members this location sees, it’s shocking that this basic infrastructure has been so neglected.

I have personally witnessed multiple accidents and hit-and-runs in this lot, and the chaotic parking situation is undoubtedly to blame. It took months for the facility to even install proper lighting; until then, a generator was being used to light the lot at night—an embarrassingly temporary solution for a company of this size.

This isn’t just an aesthetic issue. It’s a liability. I drive a high-value vehicle, and frankly, I do not feel comfortable parking here knowing that management has failed to prioritize member safety and property protection.

Unless serious improvements are made—starting with clearly marked parking spaces and enhanced security—I will not be renewing my membership. Crunch Fitness needs to take this matter seriously, because its members deserve far better than this.

A salesman came to my office a year ago offering $1 membership for this location when they open. I ended up moving away and just got a call from a collections agency saying I owe $275 for the last few months of membership fees even though I had called to inform them I moved away and cancelled.

I have no texts or voicemails about sending me to collections. Management said they don’t give notice of these things and I would’ve had to read it in the contract I was sent a year ago, and that there was nothing I could do and I had no hope of even getting that total reduced.

TERRIBLE business practices. I never even stepped foot inside the gym once. After seeing the state of the bathrooms online I would never want to. $275 for a few months… and I thought this was supposed to be a budget gym???

I want to be able to give five stars because I really enjoy the gym overall, but today when I went to go in to drop off my child to the kids crunch area it was completely dark and no one was inside. There was no email sent out or any signage posted saying that kids Crunch would be closed or anything I had to seek out and employee who said they’ve just been trying to get a hold of management because no one showed up to work the kids area. Multiple children were waiting to get in with some crying and the employees were not actively trying to remedy any situation. I’m not sure what went wrong here, but it was absolutely not OK. And it didn’t help that the front desk employee was just talking about this making it harder for him to sell memberships and not seeming to care about the group of people in front of him.

Update: the same scenario occurred again yesterday. Obviously nothing has been done to address this, and this time numerous children were out on the gym floor. It really seems like this is a you get what you pay for situation. I’ll be looking at other gyms now.

I was really excited for this gym to open up. It is super busy all the time. I was there one night and there were no paper towels to clean machines so god only knows what was on them. The gym has only been open for 5 months and the (only) leg extension machine was used so much the seat cushion was disintegrating. Then that same night they didn’t have any hand sanitizer either as I was leaving. I have canceled my membership and that was easy to do at least. They still charge you for one more month in my case.

The gym itself is nice. A good equipment and a lot of things available. It is very crowded every time I came. I liked group clases. Hot water was not available in women’s changing room.
I had to cancel due to my personal circumstances less then a month after joining however was told that 2 month membership is minimum to pay plus I still
have to pay an annual fee. The general manager-Chris was nice. He offered me to freeze the account however I wanted to cancel at the time. I think this is not “cancel anytime” as advertised but looks like commitment even for Peak Results type of membership. Now I have to pay about $120 that includes annual fee this all just for 2-3 weeks I went plus I will have access to it for 2 more month that I even can’t come.I just want everyone who is planning on joining to be aware of this.

Great location. Sauna door doesnt latch so that should be fixed but its a large room and most the time is well heated. All other equipment is very new and in great condition! A lot of new types of equipment and it feels like a playground for adults. I’ve been loving my experience so far. All the trainers and staff are super friendly and helpful.

All the members seem very respectful, I’ve been going for 3 months and have never had a problem with using any equipment. This is Jan.-March mind you….😳

One massive compliment to them is that the staff is super friendly, everyday. Something which is completely lost at most Genesis locations near by.

Check out the trainer, Rowdy, he’s taught me a lot and is easy to talk with. Rowdy has helped transform my body! 10/10 would recommend to anybody.
I’ve also met Jeremy and a few other trainers… super smart, great men who will 100% improve your physique within a few months. Can’t recommend Rowdy or the others any higher.

Rowdy has helped me from a 3 year long shoulder, bsck and chest issue. I described my issues, he was responsive and we made unbelievable progress… 💪🏽

Two days later. Hello? Anybody going to do anything? Thought the gym was about not being lazy. Not to mention I had to waste more of my time and energy and drive 20 minutes away just to write my name and phone number down on a physical piece of paper to actually cancel my account. What is this, 2005? Get with the times

Signed up with an employee outside of the gym, never went in. Thought it was a pay as you go kind of subscription. Never even saw the inside of the building. Got charged $150 yesterday. Would have been fine if I had any amount of money more than $150. Nobody answers me when I call and I've left many feedbacks on the website. Nobody is calling now. Predatory company, never working out here, this is horrible

Would give zero stars if that was an option. I get an absurd amount of phone calls from this business informing me that despite "numerous attempts" to reach me that my payment information needs to be updated to continue my membership. They should just take the hint and cancel the "membership" since the person is clearly not responding and not interested. I have never had a membership at this establishment. Despite me calling multiple times and explaining that they must have the wrong number, I continue to get the calls and voicemails. I have blocked the number but only to receive lots of voicemails about a membership that I never had. This gym must have terrible internal organization and inadequate staff to fail in handling a simple issue like this. I would suggest not signing up with this gym because you will literally be spam called for an eternity. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

We signed up at for the Olathe crunch location before it was opened back in October 2024. We signed up 2 memberships, one for me and one for my husband. We paid the $1 down payment and we were told to go to the Shawnee location to try it out before the Olathe location opened. We were given 2 id cards and we decided to stay with Genesis. We decided to cancel before the Olathe gym opened.
We called and were told we couldn’t cancel until our location opened since they didn’t have computers. We went in person in January 2025 and spoke to a manger and he assured us the memberships were cancelled. February we received a notice that Crunch tried pulling a payment. Called in and they said our memberships were cancelled. Now it was showing a balance and we went to the location AGAIN and they said they canceled it and it was still showing active. Another 2 payments were attempted to be pulled for the payment in February AND March. Finally got ahold of the general manager and he was able to finally close my membership out in April. Def don’t recommend. Terrible customer service and no one wants to help. I would rather spend more on a Genesis membership than deal with Crunch Olathe again.
I would give it no stars if I could.

#This site has issues.
#Generator in the parking lot was not working for over 5days. It was a safety hazard and no urgency on management part. It was so dark you could barely see people walking.

# Women's sauna door has been broken since Feb 2nd. It does not close - so there is a 1 - 2 inch gap at sides. Been telling management since Feb 2 - NOTHING done.

#TV's have not been working for the past 20 days. Ask them about it and --mgmt is checking into it...no effort to resolve.

#Often there is zero music or so low you can not hear it. This is a gym folks.

# POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. They let go of my amazing trainer, Nathan, but don't take care of paying clients. I get a call from Coach Flex and he doesn't even know my schedule - I tell him M-W-F 6:30 AM for an hour and I am assigned to Chris. I show up this morning (Friday) at 6:30 am to find out I have NO trainer, even though I reminded Chris on Wednesday that I had a Friday 6:30 AM appointment. Coach Flex pulls up my schedule and I see they have me for 30 Minutes not 60 and NO time was scheduled for Friday. COACH FLEX IS TOO BUSY TO HELP ME - he has to go train someone.

#Maintenance - not done and machines are already falling apart - ab machine has "cushion" tearing off.

Yea no matter how they respond it’s all about getting your money. They left my account active for two months to get membership fees and once they got their yearly fee they finally cancelled my account. I came for a couple of months as a guest, and liked it enough to sign up for my own membership. Day 2: The Direct TV isn't working (since Day 1). The bottle filler on the drinking fountain isn't working (so you have to tilt your bottle and catch as much as you can that way--and the flow is weak so it doesn't go very high). And I reported a minor issue with a treadmill that was missing the safety pull. The Seated Leg Extension is difficult to get on during peak hours, but doable during the afternoon, however the vinyl is completely worn away and is very uncomfortable on the tender backside of your knees if you're wearing shorts. The bike seats on the Matrix bikes in the cycle room are so uncomfortable. I am on my third seat cover and still haven't been able to find one that resolves the problem. Also-it would be nice if the rider was able to lower the nose of the seat. The seats are not adjustable in that sense. I come early in the morning. Most chain gyms make cancelling/downgrading a huge hassle but I’m really impressed with how it was handled. The gym itself is really nice and I would’ve stayed if the babysitting had a little more structure/regulations but I understand that doing that would have to reflect in the membership price so I get why it’s set up the way it is.

Overall most of the matrix and hammer strength equipment is solid but the only thing I really hope they add is multiple leg extension and a better one in fact that is more stable and adjustable on the pads you place near your feet. One thing that I think most gyms regardless should have is a seated leg curl for your hamstrings. Regardless I think this gym is great for its price and crunch as a whole is a great gym chain compared to Planet fitness but if these few things don’t get addressed I feel more people will eventually get sick of this place.

Do not sign up unless you want to jump through hoops to cancel membership. In order to cancel, you must catch a manager during their shift, because all cancellations must go through manager on site. Unfortunately, front desk says they don’t know mgmt shifts and can’t provide timeframes to come in or an email address/phone number to coordinate a time. The gym is fantastic. The the environment is amazing. The classes are amazing. Everybody, there is working hard but you're app. See and I shouldn't have to have 2 accounts under my name now. I have 2 payments coming from my account, but both are pending and Im getting late fees, so weird. And my sons membership also gets paid with my credit card and that account is also showing as delinquent, so weird.
At first tried to re-make a payment on January 31st using the link that you sent on a text, I updated my payment info, I submitted a payment, and you can check the logging in times when I was trying to make all those changes on the app. Woke up next day, nothing the account still shows a balance. Then I went to the gym the manager wasn't there yet, Then I went to the gym on the 1st February and a guy and a nice lady had a look at my account and she told me I had two accounts, I spoke to a manager on February 2nd he did try to help me, but my account was still having issues next day preventing me from book classes, then I went again yesterday and the manager was gone, I woke up today, my app is not working, my account states delinquent, but I already submitted two payments, today I went back and now the manager is trying to help me with the app, he had other problems to fix and still took 30 min of his time to help me out, I honestly don't think this is his fault.
He even stayed pass his clock out time trying to help me.
It's your system. The app is crazy.
You have to update your application and you have to have a better system for customers to make their payments. This is ridiculous its 2025, it is not possible that we cannot make a payment, the app should work better, we have to be coming back-and-forth to the gym to speak to a manager. We could be using technology. Honestly I really love the club. It is amazing and I really love the classes. I have no complaints but if I ever have another problem with my credit card and my account it's gonna be so upsetting because I know that your app doesn't work You guys have to do something.I shouldn't have to be paying no late.Fees and those for managers shouldn't have to be figuring out how to fix a problem that it's not related to their responsibilities because they do not manage the app

I have been a member of so many gyms and this is by far my favorite that I have tried, especially for the price. The child care is amazing, my 2 year old never wants to leave the play room. I go mid morning when it isn’t so busy and never have a problem getting my workouts done on all the machines I want to use. I have used the tanning beds and hydro massage beds, 10/10. I had a personal training session with Derek and got to see all my body stats/measurements and we did a workout. He answered any questions I had and very very educated in all things fitness and nutrition. He made the work out fun and intense and tried to curate it to what exactly I was looking for. They offer continued training services, but don’t pressure you into spending the money if it isn’t what you want. I haven’t tried it yet, but they offer many group exercise classes. I can’t wait to try the spin class! All the staff has been great, seems like good culture. All around 10/10 place. Only $30 per month!

I recently joined Crunch Fitness in Olathe, and let me tell you, it’s been a game-changer! As a newcomer just a few weeks in, I’m already loving every minute of my gym experience.

First off, the variety of machines and equipment is impressive. Whether you're in the mood for cardio, strength training, or just want to try your hand at something new, they've got you covered. Even when the gym gets a little busy, I’ve had minimal wait time for a machine.

The amenities are fabulous, too! From clean facilities to helpful staff, everything is designed to make your workout as enjoyable as possible. Plus, the price is right! You get a fantastic gym experience without breaking the bank, which is a win in my book.

If you’re in Olathe and looking for a gym that ticks all the boxes, Crunch Fitness is definitely worth checking out. It’s a great option for anyone looking to kickstart their fitness journey without compromising on quality. Trust me, you won’t regret it!

This gym has great potential for success with its affordable price, massive square footage, and a wide variety of equipment (cardio, machines, dumbbells, etc.)

Areas for improvement

1. Given the large quantity of equipment in this gym, there is only one leg extension and leg curl machine in the entire gym. These are extremely popular machines that often have two people waiting in line during busy hours.

2. The paper towels used for cleaning equipment often disintegrate as soon as the sanitizer is sprayed on it. With this, cloth towels and a laundry system could be beneficial and improve the overall cleanliness of the gym.

Source: Google

Ava R

★ 3

The gym is decent for the price you pay. They offer a lot of equipment, but it can get very busy at times, making it difficult to find available machines. It’s also unfortunate that there’s only one leg extension and one leg curl machine, considering how popular these are.

Cleanliness is an area that could use improvement. The locker rooms, sauna, and gym overall tend to get dirty quickly. I hope they make a more consistent effort to maintain cleanliness and prioritize keeping the space in good condition. The paper towels provided for cleaning equipment are another issue—they’re flimsy and ineffective. Switching to reusable towels and implementing a laundry system would be a more practical and sustainable solution, especially given the number of staff available.

Maintenance is another concern, even though the gym is new. For example, the two front doors seem to have issues, and parts of the locker rooms and sauna either appear cheaply made or aren’t receiving the care they need.

For a chain gym, I had higher expectations. That said, I understand it takes time for management to find their rhythm. I hope this review helps highlight areas for improvement because I genuinely want to see this gym succeed, especially given how affordable it is.

And they have lots of options for cardio and weights, I’m excited to start kick boxing again.
I think the one things I wish would be different,
You can’t pre-register for classes no more the 22 hours in advance when you want to take a class, located on the Crunch App.
It makes it hard for moms like me to try to get into an aerobics class 2 days ahead of time, because all the spots fill up really quickly. And then I have to miss classes that week.
I wish we would be able to pre-register for classes online 3-5 days in advance so I can actually go attend a class, during the times that I have available.

Finally it's on! First workout after the first of the year. Love the look of a new gym. Friendly staff who got me set up with the gym card and I was ready to go. Tons of cardio in the back, weights on the front of the store and area for classes. Waiting on that sauna to be up and running, a little bummer for my first day. 😟

Great gym and friendly staff. The gym has a very diverse base of customers which makes it feel very inclusive for all body types from fit to not so fit. Clean and a lot of equipment.

Justin & Timothy at the front desk do an excellent job treating the gym members with kindness & respect. Happy to be a member of this gym 💪

I love the spacing and amount of equipment. I came on opening day with it busy as hell but could easily get all the equipment and space I wanted. Definitely going here for the foreseeable future

The solicitors that they send out do not care if you have a no soliciting sign. In the span of 2 weeks I had 5 people come in and try to get me to sign up for something while I was working. They got irritated when I pointed out the sign. I asked one their name and they refused to tell me.
