KC Cheer is by far the best gym in the Midwest! The coaches are some of the most knowledgeable and talented individuals as well. The ownership is top notch and genuinely care about every athlete involved! I could not recommend KC Cheer more to anyone!!

I cheered at KC Cheer in early 2000s all the way until I graduated high school. I have also worked in several gyms across the country and I can honestly say KC Cheer is the best environment I have ever been in. The owners are the nicest people, and they truly care about their athletes. It has been almost a decade since I finished cheering and I know the owners (Michael & Kristi) are still always there for me if I need them. When looking for a cheer gym for your child, KC Cheer is the longest running and most successful, and it’s clear why.

KC Cheer is such an amazing organization! I cheered here personally for 7 years and I would do it all over again. They have programs for kids of all levels and truly care about their athletes! If you want to compete with the best in the world, this is the place!

After 17 years of cheering at KC Cheer, I can confidently say it is the best cheerleading program in Kansas (actually anywhere in my personal opinion)! The owners and coaches are incredibly supportive and skilled, always pushing us to be our best, but also making it a fun and safe environment. I will forever cherish my days at Kc Cheer, and can not thank this program enough for everything!

We spent time at the gym while living in Kansas. The gym was welcoming and my daughter enjoyed being there and grew as a cheerleader.

My daughter has been at KC Cheer for just over a year. They are so organized and welcoming. She has loved her coaches and would be at the gym every day if we let her.

We started in a tumbling class with Izzy and that was phenomenal. She wanted to tryout and see if she would make it. We are very fortune to have Collyn as my daughter coach on Fiesta. This is our first year and so far I am very impress with the owner ethics and values of the gym not only towards the athletics but also for the parents. This makes KC Cheer even more attractive to parents like me who are beginners.

I would give zero stars if it were possible. I spoke with one of the owners - Kristi - about my 11 year old daughter missing a competition for a family vacation over spring break on March 9th. I gave her this information over 3 months in advance and I was met with "Should she miss this competition we will also have to replace her for the Nashville competition as it only gives us a week of practice following spring break."

Not only do they do the same routine every competition, but there are 3 weeks (not one) between the one she is missing and the one we paid to go to in Nashville (hotel, airfare, etc). She then proceeded to say she couldn't get enough practice time in to even compete for a April 6th competition.

So my daughter has to choose between sending her spring break with her family on a ski trip or missing 4 competitions out of nothing but SPITE from Kristi and being taken out of the routine completely.

Love my daughter, but I also have three other children with sports - none of those coaches ever treated me this way when we gave advance notice of a scheduling conflict.

My advice it to avoid KC Cheer altogether. Plenty of other teams - many of which routinely beat KC Cheer at the competitions. I want coaches that care and are not heartless and unsympathetic.

Serious training is a no go at open gyms. Too many little kids. Also, they never tell anyone when open gym is cancelled. Tonight marks 3 or 4 times ive showed up to open gym and they were closed.

Awful service. My daughter came home crying after her first lesson. The coaches are gossipy and unprofessional. I took my daughter out of their classes immediately, as they weren’t doing a single thing to help her improve. After I took her out they tried to charge me for 2 more months after I had tried to contact them for 3 weeks trying to let them know. I found when I was emailing the gym manager, she was very snippy. Definitely do not recommend, if I could give this place 0 stars I would. Look around at other cheer lessons before going to KC cheer.

We did Cheer Prep with KC Cheer because I had a handful of friends that were KC Cheer Cheerleaders. I am saddened to say that by the end of the year I was disappointed with how our team was treated as a whole. Almost as though we were the ugly step children being pushed aside and truly just a paycheck to them, which was shocking to me as these girls would be there up and coming AllStar Cheerleaders for future years to come. I found majority of the staff to be unprofessional, gossipy, and I am very sad to say did not treat the girls with the positive reinforcement they needed and I expected. There were a few coaches that we were happy with but all together the gym was very unwelcoming from the staff to the athletes to the parents. I was warned by some individuals when they found out we were at KC Cheer about the treatment of athletes but I disregarded them as I am one to believe you must experience it yourself to make your own judgment, needless to say my judgement has been made. I also found the seasoned parents to be very unwelcoming and almost mean like to new cheerleader parents. Not to mention the gossip I myself heard and witnessed was very off putting and a concern for me. There is no denying KC Cheer wins competitions but to me the wins mean nothing if my daughter comes home upset and crying that she is being made to feel like she isn’t good enough and unhappy. I hope the best for KC Cheer and I hope they can remember why they started a cheer gym in the first place... it should be about the kids, not the money or the amount of trophies/banners. I wish I would have known there were other Cheer options in the KC as there are and I recommend checking each gym out before settling into the first one you see.

I took my daughter for private lessons this summer. I found the coaches unprofessional. Although the price is industry standard, if I'm paying you $40 for a half hour, she should get a full half hour and your attention should be on her the whole time. Then they charged me for $105 worth of lessons I didn't get. I signed up for one because a coach told me to in order to reschedule, then we didn't get the lesson or a refund. Wouldn't work with me. They win a lot of competitions, but they have poor customer service if you're not on their teams.
