Great little gym. Very easy to use, and not usually busy. I prefer free-weight training, which is what they focus on. Plenty of benches, squat racks, a deadlift platform, and lots of dumbbells.

Good space but not quiet sometimes with the noise upstairs. Also missing some important equipment (cable machine, dip chair)

I have two gym. This one and genesis. I prefer Mhk fitness for those reasons:
1. Hours flexibility
2. Population - not crowded. No rude people
3. Clean. Genesis seems to have some problems with mold.
4. Affordable
The main con is that there is no machine especially for chest and legs.
If you are looking for a gym that is the luxury version that what you would have done in your garage, this is the perfect gym.
Very similar to a hotel gym.

During my time at MHK Fitness I never found myself needing to wait for equipment or feeling crowded. The gym is kept very clean and organized and the 24/7 access with a key fob is fantastic for my often hectic schedule. Between the very fair price, the nice location, and the kind and attentive owners I would highly recommend MHK Fitness for anyone looking around for a gym in the area. They also offer month to month contracts with no annual commitments so individuals that move a lot can easily jump right in without needing to worry about a looming contract in the event of a quick move.

I used MHK fitness or two years. I arrived to Manhattan during the busy Christmas holidays. That didn’t interfere with MHK setting up my membership and granting me access to the 24 hour facility the same day that I signed up. The facility is always clean and organized. Any time equipment was damaged, it was replaced or fixed either immediately or within less than a weeks time. You don’t have to worry about stepping on toes or waiting to utilize equipment.
The flow of the gym is very smooth. The biggest pro is that it’s open 24 hours with the access of a key fob. I was able to go at 0500 in the morning or even at midnight. The facility is very safe. The doors lock upon entry and exit, and they have security camera’s in place for the safety of their members. There’s showers available for those of us who have to hit it & then go to work afterwards.
The gym members are very friendly and encouraging of each other. There’s been many of us that monitor and congratulate each others progress. The price for the gym is very inexpensive compared to other gyms and MHK has it all. You can conduct hiit training or conventional lifting. I highly recommend this gym to anyone.

For those of you in the military looking for a gym off post that’s understanding, payment wise, cause you need to pause payments for a year or less, this wouldn’t be the gym for you. If you need or have to deploy or be gone to training for a month to a few months, do month to month instead of signing up for a year, they’re not going to pause your account under any circumstances, so if you sign up for the year cause you’ll be stationed here for 3-4 years, Either do month to month or find a gym that’s understanding to your circumstances or needs. Price wise, still beats paying $60-90 a month per person at Genesis.
Gym is alright for what it is, wish there was more than 1 Pacing treadmill, 1 bike and more machine weights. Weights are good, decent amount of weights for the squat racks and deadlifting. Awkwardly quiet with or without people in gym, has a shower, 2 bathrooms and a “yoga”/back room for stretching, and workouts and space to sprawl out for body weight or if you just can’t live without looking in the mirror and working out. Not too many people, not too crowded and if you like working out by yourself then this gyms fine for smaller stuff. No leg machines, just squat and deadlift. Another wish is for a sauna…also, they’re pretty active with communication as well as having a trainer in the gym, so getting answers in a timely manner is good and seeing an instructor in the gym gives the gym a presence. They’re just not on Google Maps. Weird.

I like the at home vibes from this gym. Be warned that there are no lofty weight machines! It is purely free weight based. I love that you can hook your phone up to play your own music and that there aren't a lot of people present all the time. 24hr goodness.

Great gym! It's got quality equipment, an open feel, and the basics you need for an excellent workout. The lockers are modern with electric combinations, the bathrooms are large to change and everything is clean, sleek, and modern

Great gym! Has professional Rogue equipment and its spacious. It gives you that home gym vibe... which I like. Very clean too! Doesn't have any machines, but that's fine. It's better to perform exercises with free weights anyway.
