Original review in 2024... It's a cute little gym. I'm a little sad that they don't have better hours on the weekend.

Edit in 2025... A few of the lockers are broken or bent to the point that if you try to use them, you could get injured. The shower curtains are moldy, rusted and ripped...

I love the people at this gym but, it needs more love and attention than it's currently getting and management would do well to shell out a few bucks and a hammer.

I've made significantly more gains since I started working out here. While not having a loadable barbell is limiting, I can still just as easily use the Smith machine or dumbbells to get the same effect. There's plenty of machines available, some are missing but again, you can get the same effect using another one. Perfect for beginners! Meaning you've been lifting for 1-2 years. Would definitely recommend💪

The monthly membership fee is very very pocket friendly! If I can afford it on a tight budget, and I mean VERY tight, anyone can afford it! The location I attend in the afternoons when I tend to go, there’s only a handful in each section which makes it simple to access equipment needed. Everyone is nice, tend to be willing to lend a hand when possible, or they’re locked in to what they are doing! Couldn’t be a better option!!

Planet Fitness in Junction City is fantastic! The gym is always clean, the staff is friendly, and there’s plenty of modern equipment for all fitness levels. The Judgment-Free Zone creates a welcoming atmosphere, and the affordable memberships are a big plus. The hydromassage chairs and tanning beds are great perks too. Highly recommend!

The friendly staff and they address issues that are brought to them. They are tolerant of everyone and don't embarrass people with the link alarm but if you are rude and disrespectful they have no problem fixing the issue. Was a regular for 2 years. The gym was always well kept and clean, if equipment broke it was fixed within a couple days, bathroom was always clean. Smaller than the regular PF but enough machines so that you didn’t have to stand around and wait. Charles is a great manager and I never had a problem with any of the other employees. 10/10 recommend

PF is real slick in their $10 per month deal, plus one time $49 fee what they do not tell you is that in 2 months, once they have you locked in they will hit you with an additional $49 annual fee. Why do they wait two months because they already have you! I'm sure they would lose business if they said to start you owe $110! I dislike sneaky businesses.

I was pleasantly surprised by this gym given it's in junction city. If we're being honest, JC doesn't produce the highest quality customer service at a lot of places so I tempered my expectations. However going in, the Asst mgr was so incredibly helpful and answered all the questions I had about the amenities (non gym equip) and was friendly about it all.

I signed up strictly to use the amenities - total body and hydro - only. I personally have a Manhattan gym I prefer to work out at but the price for unlimited use on these two amenities couldn't be beat so I make the drive almost daily now to go use them.

I had the pleasure of meeting the manager as well the day I signed up and he was just as lovely and accommodating. And by and large the majority of the other staff I've interacted with are just as friendly. It's a, shame I won't be living here much longer honestly because I would likely be inclined to continue using thsi PF.

My only qualm is that the hydro seems to be non functioning a lot and so not usable. Considering that's 50% of the reason I joined I do hope they get the hydro fixed soon.

I was told on joining by multiple staff that we can leave our contract if there are no Planet Fitness gyms at our new location no charge. Me and the Wife both got Black Cards. When we moved I am told by the snide toned manager I have to pay 50 per person to cancel. Also I put a stop payment on planet fitness so they would stop overdrafting me, and they changed the name of the transaction to bypass the stop payment. Even the banker said this should be illegal! I hope you do not take advantage of all disabled Veterans this way.

The information provided by employees is inconsistent. One employee told us yesterday that my husband could share his card and I could come anytime without him. Today I showed up only to be told my husband had to be with me the entire time. It wouldn’t be a problem if we had been properly informed the first time. Rather than having wasted my time to make arrangements just to be turned away, I would’ve gone elsewhere to begin with. Make sure you get their statement(s) in writing before someone else decides to switch it on you.

This is one of the smaller Planet Fitness gyms I have been to but it has everything you need to get a work out in obviously the busy times are busy but seems to me that everyone is pretty nice here and do not hog the equipment this gym does have the extras that's always a plus as some Planet Fitness gyms do not if I lived in this area I would continue to use this gym it's clean and doesn't smell like dirty feet

Great variety of equipment and nice additions like tanning booths, total body enhancement booth, massage chairs and hydro massaging beds. The facility is clean, but be prepared to personally spray and wipe any pieces of equipment you've used.
Staff is mostly friendly, but if you're new member, you'll either have to figure everything out by yourself or possibly deal with a staff member giving you a look like you destroyed their entire life for interrupting his/her chat with colleagues or TV watching by asking for help and especially time consuming assistance.
PF's website is really helpful when it's not down and on my Android some functions weren't available since day one and I'm a Black card holder.
Overall it's a good place to go to, really. I would recommend it, but with consideration ol these little things described above.

The associates are very helpful at the Junction City location, and they are the reason I continue to be a member! If I have a problem, they can help solve it. The automatic system however....is terrible. It bills you each month even if you missed a payment, so you end up getting late fees stacked up on top of several months' membership fees. That seems like a way to make someone who is already struggling to pay their bill have to struggle a lot more to catch up.... Instead of simply freezing their membership until they can pay their past due amount.

Great PF! As a traveler a I am pleased to say this one has the best line of equipment...newer and much more effective than the older lines. Tanning is great locker rooms are nice too. Only thing is the gym is quite small and locker area as well. I am here on a Sunday so it's not overcrowded but idk about weekdays, also 7 to 7pm is a small window for people in most cases it would eliminate the possibility of me exercising. I'm still giving it 5 starts though due to the equipment the friendliness and cleanliness. Great job Grand Junction!. Ps fellow drivers this area is very trucker friendly with a large parking area for us at Walmart next to the gym. So get some much needed movement! :D
