I started at SlinkFit in Feb 24. I had always been intimidated by gyms so wasn’t something I was interested in but after a size-able weight loss, my cardiologist suggested I start strength training.

I reached out to Doug through a referral. From the first time I walked in the door, Doug was easy to talk with, extremely patient and made modifications based on physical limitations. He explains what each exercise is for and ensures I perform them correctly. He works with my schedule and has always been incredibly flexible.

There is no better feeling than when he says β€˜good job’. I leave my sessions feeling great about the changes he is helping me make.

He tailors your workouts based off your needs, which you will address in the first meeting with him. He is the right person for you if you are someone who wants to learn and form the right workout techniques and habits from the ground up. I was introduced to Doug by my husband who has been a long time client. Initially, I only went to him here and there with my husband for joint sessions because I have been pretty motivated to work out on my own. I was able to go to gym or a class most days of the week. However, having our daughter was a game changer. I used classes to structure my workouts (ie push me to do things I don’t like to do), but no longer had time to schedule my day around the classes. I still worked out on my own, but my solo work out had been lack luster because I was so exhausted. I decided to train regularly with Doug, and have not looked back. I typically do 2-3 work outs with Doug a week and have noticed a big difference in my strength and form based on the work outs that he has personalized for me. He changes the work out when he noticed that the work out has gotten too easy. The other day, my husband saw me in a sport bra said he wanted me to stop working out with Doug because I was making him (my husband) look bad. πŸ˜ƒ. I'm not prone to hyperbole, but SlinkFit is damned near magical. I understand Doug customizes exercises and movements just for me, but the results are amazing. In a very short time, already my posture is better, my movement is more fluid and my confidence is sky-high.

Doug started out with a handwritten routine just for me on a little piece of yellow paper. I fear it when I see it because I know I'm about to be put through my paces, but I end up feeling great. In the end, I think that piece of paper isn't yellow, it's gold.
