Chris and Jen are amazing owners. I was in town for my job, (I'm a traveling mechanic and I have to change gyms frequently), so I got a membership while I was there for 6 months. The equipment is 10/10 and so is the vibe.

Iron jungle is the best gym in Owensboro and tri state area, hands down!
Very clean and well maintained environment! Staff are super friendly and helpful and they have the best equipment for hypertrophy. I wish they were 24 hours or at least stayed open until 1am but they are definitely worth switching your schedule around for as I did mine.

I enjoy most of the gym but management has some weird rules that tick me off (read full)
1. Chalk isn’t allowed due to mess but due to “the culture around chalk”
2. Don’t slam deadlifts I understand this rule things can break but when I’m deadlifting normally without Excessive slamming and I get told to stop bc I’ll break the floors (what’s the point of a platform) but the gym themselves posts people doing rack pulls SLAMMING bars on the rack like that doesn’t destroy barbells and on some of the racks it can breaks and loosens the bolts from the floor which will cost more money. but besides that the rest of the rules are fair by all means and employees are very nice

One of the worst gyms to work out at. You will sign a contract that you are told a little about. You will experience a poor environment people talking standing in the way. When you get tired of it they will still take your money. Maybe i will have to go to court to get out of the contract.

Best facility for a total body and lifestyle change. There are several different brands of workout equipment. So if one doesn't suit you, there are other brands that work the same muscle differently. I have never seen such an extensive layout of equipment. One brand isolated the muscles more than any other machine, but it moved in such a way that it seems to take the risk of pulled muscles. There are also regular weights for the builders of mass (which you can't get at other popular gyms). There's a basketball court, a walking track, a women only workout room, and rooms for special classes. They have all the drinks and powders one would need for pre - and post workout nutrition. The staff has more than a cursory knowledge of the products they sell . They are all professionals and greet each member and usually seem to kniw everybody's name. The staff is not just someone hired to fill a spot. if you want to set some goals and make some changes or even just go somewhere to decompress, childcare is available, which i only observed from the outside, but the kids seem to be having fun. All in all, I love this facility and all the people running it. This was my first visit after joining and I was greeted professionally and they already remembered my name from 2 days before. I never got that kind of greeting at "the other place".

great gym, i’ve been going here for a little over 3 years. would give 5 stars but it’s always so hot and they never seem to have the a/c on. when your working out the last thing you want to do is workout when it feels the same inside the gym as it doesn’t outside. with as much as people pay for memberships you would think they could do something about the a/c. other than that it’s an amazing gym.

Took a break (bout 3-4months) ready to come back. Manager took care of me in about one phone call and email. Set my account up wipe off past dues… well I wasn’t expecting not to pay what I owed. However, that was unique and shows how my membership is highly valued. By far the best gym and great atmosphere for gymrats 💪💪💪💪

Very crowded “unbeatable selection” of good equipment. Owner used to post videos on the fb page of young women doing lower body workout demonstrations on new machines which was questionable, given the young female staff. Obnoxiously loud worship music played on Sundays. Over all the better quality gym in town, still has its flaws, isn’t 5 out of 5 in my opinion. Hope this helps

This is my own experience and I acknowledge I have a rare circumstance. I have been temporarily relocated to Owensboro and participated in the one month ONLY membership. This gym had everything I needed for workouts and the layout was slightly cluttered when I first arrived, but took some getting used to. After that, like any gym, once you knew where everything was, it worked out fine and I didn’t mind the layout. I can appreciate the amount of options with the basketball courts and the space they are working with. I had one less than stellar interaction with a front desk employee on a weekend day, but I don’t attribute that to the owners, nor do I feel it should effect this review. The reason I didn’t give it a full five stars was because of the 1 month only membership. Because of my situation, I was interested in a temporary membership. This doesn’t qualify you for the 24 hour access and that’s something that is important to me. I workout before work and the hours are changed by the staffing from time to time. I have been able to workout around 6 am, but as of this morning, there was no staffing available until 7. Once again, I don’t blame the owners for not having 24 hour staffing. I don’t have the expertise to run a full fitness center, and WOULD recommend a full membership if you’re in the area permanently. As a customer though, I would also recommend doing more research in just getting a month to month membership and reading the cancellation policy carefully before joining. The enrollment fee was higher, but it gives you 24 hour access and all of the benefits of a member. I found the 1 month only option to be slightly misleading, because I was limited in my access. After a certain point, I would do away with the One Month ONLY option and just go month to month as the membership options. I may be the only one that feels this way, but by listing it 24 hours, I assumed that was for all. I can also acknowledge that this issue was attempted to be prevented, by listing it on the website, but you don’t notice the one month only changed hours from the website (4am - 8pm) until you read a piece of printed off paper on the front door and realizing it is locked and you can’t get in. Once again, a great gym if you’re going to be in Owensboro for a while, but double check your options if you’re only looking for something temporary.

Excellent gym! I've been a member at several in the area over the years, but Iron Jungle is the best yet. Clean lobby and restrooms with showers and saunas, plus a few changing rooms. Excellent and spacious free-weight and cable machine area, plus several adjoining rooms for small classes or one-on-one training. Apart from a large cardio area, my favorite spot is the Women's Room. This room has everything the main gym offers, but only available for women. Nice place to work out without the extra anxiety of exercising alongside men. Members also enjoy access to tanning beds and receive two free sessions with a personal trainer. Highly recommended!

A great family gym! They have tons of both free weights and machines. There is a large cardio section upstairs with treadmills, bikes, stair climbers, and row machines. Downstairs they have a full court basketball court, a women’s only room, and a couple of other rooms for classes.

Great value! They have all the equipment you could ask for plus a basketball court, a workout room just for the ladies, a room designated for classes, and a room designated for HIIT training. This gym is amazing! It's a real gym for bodybuilders with dumbbells that go to 175lbs. They have a posing room if you're into that as well. The staff are friendly and the members have gym etiquette unlike big box gyms. I'm in town for only a week or so and purchased a weekly pass for $25 which is a great deal! I'm gonna miss it here and wish this gym was back home.

There's LOTS of equipment, a basketball court, a dedicated cardio section, women's only area, and group fitness rooms. It's always been very clean when I've been in. There free lockers in the bathroom and rentable lockers by the changing rooms.

Having a lots of equipment comes at the cost of space. You're walking around equipment at basically all times, and went it gets busy it can get pretty crowded. It's not cheap either, $35 a month without signing a contract, and if you lose your barcode keychain then it's $10 to replace, pretty expensive for a flimsy price of plastic.

I practically live here. I love my gym, the owners have become friends and they're always very nice. The trainers are amazing and the regulars are nice. My absolute favorite thing about this gym is the daycare. My son adores the daycare staff and always has a great time. He cries when it's time to leave. They have the BEST equipment in their facilities. Family oriented, classes for each age group. Child care for the little ones. No judgement here!!! This facility is rediculously nice, and cheap to boot. It truly is the Walmart of gyms due to everything it offers at a great price. Plenty of classes (including one designed for kids), friendly staff, excellent equipment, a basketball court, steam rooms, dumbells I can't begin to move for the really strong people, round plates for deadlifts, daycare, and quite a bit I'm forgetting to mention. I would recommend this gym to any person or family if fitness in a great environment is what they are looking for!

My wife and I joined and it's the best in town. We've been members of 4 other gyms in town and some were outdated, some were overcrowded, but Iron Jungle has more room and better equipment than any other. Only negative is the lack of a locker room. There are lockers but only 2 people can change at a time in the restrooms.

Iron jungle is the gateway to getting my weight and health back!
I dont have to give myself mom guilt that I left my kids with someone else while I go to the gym to take care of myself a few days a week!
With the free childcare my kids are making friend while mom works on bettering herself!
I love attending the zumba class as often as I am able! Jessica rocks, she really watches after and takes care of everyone that attends her classes!
I feel like family anytime I walk in the doors to the gym. I will never want to go to another gym!

My time at the Iron Jungle has been nothing but pleasant. The staff and especially the owners have always been very open and welcoming. It truly feels like a family environment. That is a true positive for such a large accommodating facility. The staff is trained and they have some of the best trainers in the area hands down. They understand your struggles and go out of their way to make you feel you are welcome at the Jungle and they support you. Rules are easy to see and understand as they are posted throughout and the owners and staff try to enforce those rules for everyone, which is more than I can say for other facilities in and around town. I appreciate them making me feel welcome in their successful facility and I look forward to see what the future holds for them. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a good place to get back in shape or tone up. I promise they won't alienate you. They are great people who just want to provide you the best.

My family is very impressed with Iron Jungle! I joined mainly for our half marathon training so we could run inside when needed during the winter. My husband is using the facility to work out with the weights too and said it’s the best equipment he’s seen at any gym. The childcare is huge for us and all three of my kids love it!
