This gym has a lot to offer and many programs to help you reach your goal. You can tell the workers care for the place. Other than that, equipment is a little outdated. It seems more like a social boys club than a gym. You got these kids that sit around socializing, slamming weights, hogging machines etc. it’s kind of obnoxious. The atmosphere just gives off a very awkward feel.

It’s silly you have to buy the keycard. It probably costs them like 50 cents. Also, most gyms offer an app for the keycard and that wouldn’t cost anything. Overall it’s a really unnecessary fee.

Cancelling membership has been difficult. Kept getting the runaround and told different things by different employees. Still charging me even though we cancelled and year term has expired. Gym is equipped well, but poorly operated in my opinion. Update...have charged me again after we were told that it would be refunded, and charged us an annual fee...have approached business in person a couple of times and were told that the person responsible for handling this issue was gone for fall break. We gave more than 30 days notice for cancellation, and were told they would remedy situation BEFORE fall break. May have to seek other remedies.

Love this place, and I highly recommend it! It definitely has a very motivating atmosphere. Nothing uncomfortable about it for us bigger people on our journey to health. Joe Leduff is my son's personal trainer, and he is FANTASTIC! He sees my son several times a week, gave me a meal plan for him, is always readily available through text when I have a question, and he answers back promptly.

It's a gym, pretty straight forward what to expect. Sometimes things break, sometimes it's crowded. Love that they have childcare though. For so long I haven't been able to go workout because I didn't have anybody to watch my kids. They offer some classes for group workouts and have a ladies only area. Whatever you expect from a gym they probably have it.

Been trying to cancel because I don’t use the service because I couldn’t work it into my schedule. Waited for yearly contract to be over with and still cannot get them to agree to cancel the contract because I moved to the other side of town and have no reason to drive there when planet fitness is right down the road. Plus I’ve never had any issues with planet fitness. The couple of interactions I’ve had with staff have found them to be rude as well

OAC is a family friendly facility that provides many unique features. This is a gym that provides several options when it comes to fitness such as abundant cardio machines, weight room and HIIT zone. The facility is clean & well kept. To top it off, the staff are very friendly and informative which provides an overall great experience.

The gym is great as far as facilities and machines available. Unfortunately their communication is poor and their pricing model is confusing. I purchased a membership back in February 2020 the gym was shortly thereafter closed because of COVID. I recently decided I would rather go to a smaller gym closer to my house. I went in to cancel my membership and I was informed that i couldn't cancel because I had signed up for a 1 year contract. At no point during the initial sign up process was I informed that this was a one year contract. The gentleman that I was talking to then said that they had fired some employees because they were not disclosing this information, but he still wouldn't allow me to cancel my membership without paying out the remaining months. If your going to have that policy that's fine but it should be communicated to all your customers.

I actually have not had the same experience as the previous post. I was just thinking to myself the other day that it was amazing how many towels were available. Yes, I did have to go to the back to get them, but that's because it was a Sunday evening. Every other evening I've been there (and that was 4-5 times in the week), the towels have been stocked. The front desk has been kind and helpful when I've been in. The bottles with formula for cleaning were completely full and the tanning bed rooms were clean. The bathrooms were clean too. Machines were clean and working. I am not sure what gym Dana is going to, but I have to disagree with those comments. Anytime I've had a concern, I just reach out and It's been addressed. My suggestion is that anyone with concerns reach out and discuss them with the owner, rather than putting their business on blast. It's not the best way to handle a problem. =) Just a suggestion though.

Been a member for a few years now. The cleanliness and maintenance of the facility has completely crashed in the last several months. Have never seen such dirty equipment, tanning rooms, bathrooms...all of it. It is all disgusting. The towels are rarely stocked, you have to go in the back and get towels and stock them yourself, despite an employee not doing anything at the front desk. Cleaner bottles for the customers to wipe off the equipment are nearly always empty. The whole place is completely nasty. It is a shame really, because it used to be a very nice place. Sent an email regarding the same issue and never received a response from mgmt.

I love this place. I mostly go to bootcamp & I am seeing results. Yes I get very sore & most times just wish it was over, but every single time I finish I feel as though I've accomplished a major challenge & can't wait for the next class. ..the staff & other people are friendly & extremely encouraging.

As many of you know, Edgefit used to be like a second home to me, I recommend that gym to anybody who asked my opinion on gyms/fitness facilities around here! Unfortunately I cannot say I feel the same way about this facility anymore. I do not recommend anyone who must go to the gym after staffing hours (anyone who has to go between the hours of 7pm-8am). You are constantly removing weights that were left by other people. I had to remove 10 of the 45lbs weights from the leg press machine, although I'm very much capable of lifting the weight, it is not my responsibility and not all people who walk into the gym are able to do so. With that being said I'm assuming they do not keep a close eye on the cameras in the facility considering this was a reoccurring issue since I have been a member at the gym for the past 2 years.
Secondly large groups of teenagers would be dropped off by parents only to come in there to goof off doing things like leaving weights all over the facility and playing music so loud in the ab room that I can hear it over my headphones and running around in front of members in the middle of sets which is dangerous, same kids, every night. That also leads me to believe that the cameras were not being watched because 75% of them were not members. If these kids who are using the facility consistently for free every night are aloud to do so, then why should I have to pay my $24.99 a month? If they can use this gym for free then I must be able to as well? And so should everyone else!
I know that there are countless solutions to this problem considering I have been to other 24 hour gyms like Atlantis, Owensboro Gym, and even Planet Fitness and have never experienced anything like this.
With that being said I'm extremely disappointed and will no longer be attending this gym! I would try talking to staff about this issue but since I work regular work hours 7-7 it's hard to make a special trip to the facility to talk to management. Secondly it is almost impossible to get anyone to answer the phone over there.

Just wanted to put another review on here to warn people.

This place is a toxic trap!
They do not keep records of payments or any billing information for their clients. They are CONSTANTLY having billing issues with several clients and also tried to send collections after several members due to the FACILITYS billing errors.
I recommend the Athenian, Owensboro Gym, the Health Park... anywhere but here.
The receptionist Tonya is EXTREMELY rude and VERY unprofessional in many ways.
Also, you cannot get ahold of the owner either, you must come to the gym on HIS time if you would like to discuss the issues you're having with the gym. This place is a wreck. I would STAY AWAY!

I first joined EdgeFit over a year ago. I started going to the gym and the fitness classes-piyo and Zumba. Denise was so kind and inspirational and told me about boot camp. A little over a year later I am totally addicted to it. Chris, Andy, and Shane are awesome trainers and always push us to better ourselves. I recommend this gym and EdgeBodyBootCamp to anyone wanting to lose weight, sustain weight loss, or get healthy!!!

I became a member of Edgefit almost a year ago when I joined Edge Body Boot Camp. I was very impressed with Denise when she remembered my name the 2nd time I saw her. Denise and the rest of the staff are very helpful and motivating, I also love the hydromassage. There is definitely a family atmosphere. I would not trade my Edge family for anything.
