It's a great place to work out. So many things you can do. I am so glad I joined it. ( l have to change that. It's all about the money for Owensboro Health. All the people with disabilities that were aloud to go there were told to start paying or leave there. They won't even accept silver sneakers. Which is a program that is set up to help the elderly and disabled people work out and stay healthy. Thanks to the YMCA , Planet Fitness and Owensboro Christian church. They all accept Silver Sneakers and the elderly has a place to try and stay healthy.)

I just became a member two weeks ago and to say Iβm impressed is an understatement. This place is amazing. It has everything. Iβve joined through the exercise is medicine program and itβs helped motivated me to get up and moving and to focus more on my health. Everyone that works there has been so kind and helpful. Iβm going to continue my membership even after this program ends.

Limited hours. If a flake of snow falls, the place closes. They continue to send out notice that they are closing early and the place is packed with members trying to get in a workout before the convient closes. The place is not open or has very limited hours even on pre/post holidays. Every other gym is open. The exercise staff appears to be to lazy to assist members. They play on the computers or their phones. I am sure that staff will respond to my email saying that the safety of members is important. That is the reason we close if it might snow sometime in the next 5 years. If it is a hospital decision, tell them to close the emergency room and send everyone home.
On the response, I knew that would be the canned response. I guess that closing early before or after holidays is for the safety of the members as well. It is funny that every other gym in town is open when this place is closed.

I have been going to the Health Park closer to a year now and the workouts they offer in the therapy pool is phenomenal. The instructors and classes are total therapy all rolled into one. They have a on-site fitness coaches and a gym on the 2nd floor that offers a wide variety of what ever your heart desires. Also Friday and Sundays they offer family night with the young ones from 13 years to 0. Anywhere from swimming to playing basketball to ping pong. I love my healthpark and am so glad I was doctor referred because now I am a life long member βΊ I could go on and on about the Health Park but that name alone speaks about itself

Best gym in town. They offer a variety of events to participate in. The classes and instructors are great. The play park for kids puts my mind at ease knowing my child is safe. The teachers do activities with them and play with them. The entire staff for the Healthpark are super helpful and frjendly. You get what you pay for!

The facility is always clean.The front desk workers are polite and very helpful.Towels are provided in the work out and swim area. Often the towels are still warm. The facility offers work out equipment for all limbs and most muscle groups. Health staff on the second floor are trained on how to customize the workout equipment to your height/build and are happy to supervise whenever asked. Clorox wipe containers are positioned around the gym area for machine wipe downs.
The pool area has a surplus of water weights, noodles, flippers, kickboards, and aqua belts. The health park also has family locker rooms that come with shower chairs, changing tables, railing along the walls, a blow dryer, and an emergency pull cord. It is wheelchair accessible. Locks on both family doors work. The doors are unfortunately heavy and take effort to pull open. The heated pull has a ramp with railing on each side into the water. The large pool also has a machine to transfer wheelchair clients into the water.

I am very insecure about working out.... I know im fat. I dont like going to regular gyms bc it makes me like myself even less. Going to the HealthPark doesnt make me feel the same. The environment of the gym here makes me feel totally comfortable. I had a blast getting into the Aquatic Arobic classes.

Scheduled for 10:00 am--2 medical procedures--in and out in 30 minutes. Then we arrived at Chick-fil-A @ 11:00am--2 orders--15bucks--in&out in 30 minutes (dine in ). America I LOVE this place!!

I have a lot of gym anxiety, and I've had such a wonderful experience with the Healthpark, starting with the LifeSteps program (love Lexi!) and most recently with Exercise Is Medicine with Cody. Almost every employee I've encountered--from membership to maintenance--has been extremely helpful and kind, so much so that I joked with Jordan at the front desk that I believed they are trained at Disney. I've gone to a couple of classes, and the instructors have gone out of their way to help me and to make me feel welcome. I appreciate that more than the facilities, which are fantastic by the way. I'm still building my confidence, but my comfort has grown in leaps and bounds working out here.

It's a clean nice place to workout but as mentioned in another review the lady at the front desk is rude!!!! i believe her name is Brenda. She has dark hair and wears glasses. Her daughter works in the playpark. I miss the trainers who worked there a long time ago when I was in high school. Julie and Don. The other trainers just sit looking mean and only speak to certain members.Staff need to be friendlier.....updated 4 stars thanks for reaching out to me. However, the lady at the front desk needs to be more polite. She definitely doesn't like her job.

i needed to get my cpr certificate and tracy was fantastic! any questions i had, she gave me in depth responses to and made sure i understood. she got me in quickly for a skills test to get my card. highly recommend her if you are needing AHA licensed!

I recently completed Exercise Is Medicine program (EIM) with Heather as my trainer (as of yesterday). What an amazing program for Owensboro Healthpark to have! This really sets them apart from the other athletic clubs. When you sign up for this program, you pay $50. If you work out 3 days a week for 8 weeks, you get your money back. When you start, the trainers ask you what you'd like to achieve from the program, set you up with a workout routine, and follow up with you weekly for 8 weeks. I meet with my trainer tomorrow for completion and to figure out what my next step is. This is bittersweet. It's been a long time since I've really been proud of myself. But this dedication and hard work...this was all me. This was me showing myself love.

Attended a CPR and First Aid class. Presentor was knowledgeable, informative, and friendly. Class was mostly videos, followed by practice on mannequins to get the correct techniques to perform CPR. Definitely recommend.

SUGGESTIONS - The warm water therapy pool is great when it works, I have a disability and hard for me to walk, it should always be a top priority to make sure this pool is at proper temperature. You should have staff check it probably every couple hrs when your there and even the janitor at night.

Great swim area, great place to play basketball. one complaint is the same staff member has been very rude to me three times. I was going in with my mom (i am 13 for clarification) and she was going to go workout in the gym while i played basketball. the woman who was at the front desk told my mom i couldn't go play because i didn't have a membership without even asking if I had one in the first place. she said she could send me to the playpark... IM THIRTEEN AND 5'7 WHAT. she refused to believe my mom that I had a membership, and didnt look me up for 5 minutes until my mom asked if she could speak to someone in a higher position. she finally looked me up and rolled her eyes and let me go play basketball.second time, i was swimming in the competition pool when the lady came up to me and said i needed to get out of the pool as it wasn't family time. i explained to her i had a membership. she didnt believe me AGAIN, and either she didn't recognize me or just was targeting me. i just walked out of the pool and changed. I came back a few weeks later to play basketball and the SAME LADY came and told me to get off the court as I was clearly too young to have a membership. i dont know whether she just is trying to annoy and be rude to me or treats everyone like this. either way, very frustrating. >:(

I've been here several times for a variety of things. Imagining, treatments, Dr. Appointments. All of the staff I have interacted with have been friendly, helpful, knowledgeable & compassionate. Went to go use the pool. One of the lifeguards came up to us and told us we couldn't swim because my wife had on a 2 piece swimsuit. I never saw any signs posted on the rules but you would think that would be something they tell you before you pay. That's very disappointing that in 2021 you cant wear a 2 piece without being told to leave. But the staff were very nice in assisting me with a refund. Dont go to this pool if you have a 2 piece swimsuit.

I have been working out and enjoying Healthpark services for 15+ years. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Everything is always super clean and one of the housekeeping staff even puts warm towels out for me after my workout. As a mom of two kids, I wish there was more of an emphasis on family exercise programming. Family time is inconveniently from 5-7 Wed and Fri (which is typically when working people get off and have dinner) and Sat and Sun from 12-4 (lunch, nap time for young kids, birthday parties, sports games, the busiest time of day...). I think family Zumba or sometime of exercise class would go over well. Also, if you want to go when it's not crowded try 9-10 p.m., it's a ghost town!
