Ok I love planet fitness…BUT I was working out the other night and it Was 950 at night and I went to get in the tanning bed at 10 o’clock and they informed me that all the black card stuff was closed and it was a Monday night… So that is the only thing that I do not like about them I don’t know if that was a fluke or if that’s a new thing but that needs to change!!!

This is the first gym I have ever been a member of, so I don't really have anything to compare it to -

Having said that, I have been a member here for about a month. I've always been overweight and clumsy - and as a result have always shied away from gyms. However, this place has been great! Not sure what I was afraid of all those years!

The gym is clean and well kept. The machines are clean and in good working order. I haven't interacted with the employees too much yet - for the most part they stay out of the way, but have been helpful with the few questions I've had.

The showers and bathrooms are clean and spacious. The only drawback I guess, is that the dressing room/locker area is kinda small. I go early in the mornings when it's not very crowded. I've never had to wait for a machine, but I have had to wait for the locker room to clear out before I could get dressed.

Other than that, this is a great place, and I would highly recommend it. It's probably the best value you'll find as far as gyms go.

This is by far the worst layout of a planet fitness I have ever been to. Equipment and bathrooms both. The men’s stalls are entirely too close together. There’s no reason my foot should be 6 inches from another dude. And as for the equipment layout, oh my god. Why is everything so cramped together? There’s too many machines for this small of a space. Only 2 people can stretch at a time in the designated stretching area. Planet, expand this location. I’m looking to move to Frankfort in the near future and I would never workout here regularly. I would quit my membership and go somewhere else if I was forced to use this one regularly.

Am someone thats very sensitive to my environment. I can tell which gym decides to be stingy on their ac and end up walking out and not working out. This is one of them. They have some of their fans going but barely ac. Feels like lacking oxygen. Not good for me when I do cardio.

The machines are splattered with old sweat and filth. The whole place smells like moldy B.O. The changing rooms and shower are oddly clean in comparison, so at least there's that. Gym rules aren't enforced at all. I watched someone spitting chewing tobacco in a water bottle, just hanging out. Gross.

This is God's honest worse planet fitness operating I believe. U pay extra for black card, this facility has old 20 minute beds they took out of a suntan city. The top falls on u unless u hold it. It doesn't even get hot to tan u. They getting the money for the service but providing shotty service. The gym is super small too. I would advise go to a different gym if u live local.

I really enjoy this gym. I don’t feel intimidated when I’m working out. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The trainer is wonderful. The only reason I have four stars instead of five is because sometimes the gym is packed and it’s hard to get to all of my work outs when there are only about two of each workout machines (except for treadmills and ellipticals). I would recommend going to this gym.

I have been a member of planet fitness for several years now. The quality of equipment and facility have always been wonderful. The staff are always extremely friendly and happy to assist. Not being the most advanced in fitness it has been a great place for me to exercise while learning more.

My recent experience with planet fitness has been rather traumatic though. What started as a friendly acquaintance and pleasantries with another member turned into a situation of harassment and stalking. Two verbal complaints were made to the staff, one in which I asked an employee at the desk to fake a conversation with me as the perpetrator (48 years my senior) was asking me to walk outside to their vehicle. The next day I called the gym asking to speak to the manager to discuss that this harassment had escalated.

Upon arrival I noticed that perpetrator was exercising in the gym with full view of the door and he watched as I entered the facility and continued to watch as I discussed my complaint with the manager. During this complaint I informed the manager that the perpetrator had verbally asked me to drive with him around town, go to his car, and even recited characters from my license plate to indicate that he knew I was at the facility. He expressed his sympathies and concerns that this behavior should not be condoned. He asked that because we were being watched by the perpetrator that I return at a later time to give a statement that he could pass along so they could follow procedure.

The next time I came to the facility to give my statement I was introduced to the regional manager. She claimed that she was unaware of my situation and that a statement would not be necessary. She was going to speak with her boss as she had no doubt the other member would be banned from the facility. Later that evening she called to inform me that they could only give the perpetrator a verbal warning and she had personally warned him that if he spoke to me again he would be banned.

For several weeks I had to endure seeing the perpetrator at the facility. At times he was only 20 feet away and clearly able to see me exercise. I have had to leave the facility once or twice with a shortened workout or tears in my eyes at my growing discomfort. I even informed the regional manager who claimed she could not do anything since he had not spoken to me.

On a recent visit the perpetrator did walk up to me in the middle of a crowded day, all smiles as if he had done nothing wrong and attempted to speak to me. I immediately yelled that he needed to get away from me and ran to the locker room. I was assisted by several women in an attempt to open my locker as I was having a panic attack. As I left the gym I saw the perpetrator speaking to the manager. When leaving I called the regional manager updating her of the situation as well.

I am aware that the facility has canceled his membership. This experience has caused me a great deal of stress and trauma that no one should have to endure when reporting an act of harassment. I hope that in the future Planet Fitness handles claims more seriously so that others do not have to experience what I have.

The equipment is noticeably aged compared to my home gym in Georgetown, but the staff and other patrons are friendly enough. I think the bathrooms are actually bigger than Georgetown, too.

Edit/Add: I wish their hours would change. Shame that Georgetown is somehow able to be open so many more hours on the weekend than this club is.

I’ve been to a lot of gyms and they all have their pros and cons. I could list cons with this place but the pros outweigh it. Their machines are probably the most ergonomically designed machines. I suffer from knee pain and back pain and was actually able to squat today without any pain. I actually feel better than I did when I came in. And this girl on night shift is doing an awesome job in keeping it clean. Would recommend.

Exercise is good and that is what Planet Fitness helps me with. I avoid the humidity and bug bites and get air conditioning while exercising. I also like not worrying if a pet is going to get pulled into the treadmill. It's many wins all on one.

I only got a membership to use the tanning beds because it’s cheaper than sun tan city. Most of the staff are friendly and welcome you when you walk in the door and seem knowledgeable. The only things I don’t like is that a few times the stand up bed has cut off several minutes before my times up and how the beds are cleaned. You’re supposed to clean the bed before you get in and after you’re done. Sometimes people don’t wipe out the bed when done and so the next person has to do it and I think wiping up some strangers sweat is gross and I shouldn’t have to unless I’m getting paid to do it (like the staff).Their’s usually several staff members standing around talking so I’m not sure why their isn’t anyone to sanitize the beds before each paying customer. But other than that the place is worth the money.

This was the first time visiting a PF out of town. The staff was top notch. Super friendly and helpful. Was a little disappointed that so few machines had tv on them. That is how I distract myself. I really love this gym, they have really nice equipment and plenty of it. You are never judged at any time, you are not allowed to be judgmental and the employees are really nice and helpful. They don't have contracts so you can cancel at any time, they have specials that they run all the time. I got a month free. You can have a membership for i believe around 10 bucks. I have the black card which is 24.44 a month after taxes which is very reasonable, and with that you get the entire gym, tanning, massage, and 2 other nice massage chairs. Plus you can bring a guest but they only have access to the gym itself. Still awesome.

I came ready and eager to work out but when I got their to join they said I needed to download an app and enter a whole alot of information and then enter my debit card number and then my bank routing information. I dont have my bank information memorized. So I just shook my head and left. I'll go find somewhere else that wants to accept normal forms of payment

I was traveling through on my way home to Vermont and I stopped at this location and I had the nicest conversation with Taylor and Aubrey. They were wonderful. The place was outstanding. They even gave me a great recommendation for a great little restaurant. A Riverboat Bar and Grill and I had the best time. These two ladies are absolutely wonderful and even told me of a great ice cream shop. I hope to come back to this beautiful city once again. Take care and God bless.

Oh my god! I cannot begin to express how amazing it was coming here. I have never been to a gym before (and saying that tells you the reason why i'm here now, post-quarantine.) I walked in after I had went ahead an signed up online. Scanned my phone to check-in (so fast) and I walked up to the front desk. The woman was SO nice and helped me fill out remaining forms she needed my signatures on. I told her I had never been to a gym before and she immediately began showing me around and telling me all about Planet Fitness. For my first night (around 8:30pm) it wasn't busy at all, place was clean, and all around I felt so comfortable being there. If it wasn't for the woman at the desk, I wouldn't have known where to start and would have got that gym-intimidation. Sign up now!!
