Please Read: I love this facility, and the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. The young man that manages the gym is very knowledgeable and approachable. He acknowledges all incoming customers and tells all customers who are leaving to have a great day. He walks the floor and asks those who are working out, how are things going, let me know if you need assistance. The facility is always clean with wipes, weights stacked, and restrooms are clean with soap, paper towels etc. This gym is an example on what all gyms should look like on the inside and outside. Unlike most gym, the manager is always there working or cleaning while checking on the customers. I will and have recommended this gym to friends and family. It's good to know that good customers service is still around. I want to thank the young man (Manager) for making my visit and workout a great experience at this location. Smook is the best.

I signed up for a 1 year membership and now 16 months later they are still charging me. I was told that I was signing up for a 1 year membership originally by the girl (Heather) who was fired from this location. I have taken down most of my bad review because I finally got out of the contract. All I have to say is BEWARE THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A YEAR MEMBERSHIP HERE, IT AUTOMATICALLY RENEWS AFTER 1 YEAR WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT.

This is a Trash gym and a trash company. I lost my job and couldn’t afford to pay my membership and now they sent me to collections for $1,330. Over a thousand dollars for a gym membership, this is not a good company and they do not care about people.

i’ve been to several gyms in the past couple of years and i’ve tried many trainers but this gym and their trainer SMOOK MAINE is the best thing i’ve ever experienced. smook has a great personality and is super smart when it comes to training and lifting weights and everything else that comes with working out. very smart and talented young man with a great passion for helping others. the gym stays very clean and i’ve never had a problem with anything or anyone there. Contracts are legal binding documents. I have proof the Manager of anytime fitness in Blanchard has ignored my many request to get this matter handled. I shouldn't have been charged this month and I was. My husband and I have both tried reaching out and getting this 1 yr gym membership ended. But heather signed me up for a 2 year when I have text proof it's a ONE year contract. I will be contacting the media and the police if this isn't resolved. Thanks

The Worse management!!! I have been a member of this gym for over 10 years. After entering the gym at 4:30, Heather, ran out after my daughter talking to her about using her key. I understand policy and rules but you have to be professional and respectful. She didn’t know how to talk to a young adult but instead she talked AT her like she was her child that was running around the facility while harassing my ADULT daughter. Her daughter is always running around the gym (under 12) UNSUPERVISED!!! TODAY WAS OUR LAST DAY!!! You can not talk to people anyway. We are so unhappy with the way we were treated. Other members came up to us because of her actions.

The Anytime Fitness on North Market St. is by far the nicest location I have been to in a while, I travel alot for work and have visited lots of other location and this is by far my favorite one.. I know I see alot of stuff on here about the contracts but I can assure you that they do let you out early, but there is a fee to do so and she gives you the tablet to read through what your signing! It takes awhile to read through it all but its all in there, I have seen her first hand help people out and break her own rules for people. She is very sweet she came in on her day off at 11:30 at night to help me.

I joined in 2022 , I paid cash for one year up front. I told her I was not interested in any automatic memberships. She gladly took my cash. I was unable to ago to gym , not even once that year due to health issues.
Now I get wild bills that are super inflated and claim I still am a member. She will not return my calls. They are charging $575.00 a month now . I have pictures. She just turned it over to Kingston, data and credit international Inc.
Now they claim I owe $2,328.50 for six months. I will turn this over to the Louisiana state attorneys office. I’m a let them look into this. This is obviously a mode of business practice that they do. There’s too much legitimate business to be stealing from people this way.

Honestly not a bad gym at all but be sure to pay attention to your contract. My boyfriend and I signed up for (what we thought) was a family plan and it has turned out that we were put on two separate contracts, which means we have to pay two different “early buy out” fees. There was never any mention of two contracts, the woman even told my boyfriend that he could remove me from his membership at any time while we were signing up (which got under my skin at the time because it was an unnecessary comment), leading us to believe that we were signed up together.
When we signed up we were told it would be $40 per month, which was fine and honestly not bad for both of us. Turns out; it’s $40(ish) per person per month. After fees it’s around $94 a month. We stopped going because I went back to college and he joined a fire academy and are now trying to cancel. We paid the fee happily because we thought that we were getting out of the whole thing, but after being charged again for the membership, we were told that we were never on a contract together.
100% ask for the full contract when signing up and read it thoroughly. Do not just listen to the person selling you the plan. You will not be told the full story.

In this case, my son is the member, not myself. Due to some serious health issues, he is unable to work, and unable to go to the gym until cleared by his surgeon. Hence, he requested to freeze his membership temporarily. After being assured that this was taken care of, he woke up to two charges from anytime fitness, as well as two NSF fees. I actually warned him about this because it seems to be par for the course with their business practices. I truly hope they rectify this, but I don't hold out much hope. I'll gladly alter my review to reflect any actual amends made by the gym.

I joined in May . I never know when they will take money out of me account There has been 3x’s from October 17th-October 24th. I am on Silver Sneakers and these charges are for my fiancé . You will get nothing but the run around. I am paying them off tomorrow . I will go to my bank and place a stop payment on anything more they try to charge. Everything I was told when I signed up was a lie. Would not recommend to anyone unless you have more money than sense.

The people here are so helpful very nice. My son & I go together. This is a well kept facility clean. So far the people that come in are good about cleaning their workout stations. This place also takes my insurance. That's very helpful so I can be with my son as he is a minor and he needs to be able to work out ,but not hurt himself. This facility there is not a pool ,but there are three different rooms & a tanning bed. They keep it nice and cool inside it's just a really good environment to be in the people as well as the building very well kept.

This place is a scam. If you are out of town working and are in the Blanchard area, save yourself some time and headaches dealing with this place. They want you to come in person to cancel the membership and even if you inform them that you are 2000 miles away, they still charge you and will not cancel it. I wish I only knew ahead of time what kind of place this was. I will never deal with any Anytime Fitness again. I wish I could give a negative star rating.

Like many of the other people on this I review, I am also finding it impossible to cancel my membership. I even waited past the contract obligation before I cancelled. This was four months ago and I'm still being charged. I have even talked to the workers and was told they would fix it. Still no refund, still being charged monthly. Only thing I know to do is make a scene up there, that seems to be the only language people understand. Bottom line is just go somewhere trustworthy, this is not an isolated incident, it is a recurring deliberate problem.

I would never recommend this facility to anyone I cancelled my membership and my boyfriends membership months ago. We paid a huge lump sum to get out of our contracts just to have them continue to charge his account every month. We have yet to receive refund for the months that were charged! Please be smarter than us and do not become a member of this gym. Sadly the day we were signing up a man was there dealing with the same issues. Extremely unhappy with this location. I cancelled my membership in June with Heather due to the fact I was moving to Benton. I had been a member for nearly 10 years. They continued to charge my account for the months of June, July, and August. I called Heather to request a refund. I have been given the run around for over 4 weeks now concerning my refund. Now the problem is they requested a refund for 2 months, not 3. It's pointless to call ABC Financials because they will keep you on the phone for 30 minutes only to tell you to call the location. I will never, ever, never, ever, never, ever join an Anytime Fitness again, no matter where I live. Management is not "managing" and I wonder how they would feel if it was their money.

Extremely happy to have found this gym it is small and not crowded so all the weights are available when you need them including a punching bag all the staff I have met are extremely friendly kind and helpful they have everything a serious lifter needs. I asked the manager about cancelling my member ship and then she tells me $500 I will be paying $900 within the contract . That's so not right . I call a get no answer. And when I get an answer a black guy answered the phone and I asked him how much more do I have left to pay... He was like I will have to call you back. The review from 3 years ago is complete truth, however in December of 2012 all of that seemed to change when a new manager came along , and a new cleaning crew came with her. The gym is now immaculate , all equipment is fixed and they have announced completely updated equipment on order, they return phone calls within 24 hours and even have complimentary shower items now! 3 years ago I never used this location and avoided it, now it is one of my favorite locations. I have never had an issue with being charged for anything that you aren't told about up front and my nieces are allowed to sit in the waiting area anytime I need. It really has become a great staff! So glad I didn't end up cancelling back then.
