This gym is unlike any other of its kind. Often when you think of CrossFit, its associated with a single type of representation. You see elite athletes crushing workouts in the gym or bringing it hard in the CF games and it can be intimidating for those of us who don't consider ourselves athletic. However, when you walk into CFA you see representation of all sorts, all races, all backgrounds, all body types and all fitness levels. The thing that they all have in common is their sense of community and their ambition to be in the best shape they can be. I love that when you visit this gym, you get that sense of family and that sense of belonging. You don't feel judged if you can't do pull up. You feel encouraged, motivated, seen. Quality coaches just as diverse as the athletes, each bring their own special touch while coaching. If you're thinking about visiting this community based spot, stop thinking and do it. You won't be disappointed. I love CFA. Its helped me grow in my fitness journey and given me that place that I love to come to sweat and tough it out with fellow athletes that I call family.

Great, kind coaches. Thoughful approaches to workouts that encourage you to try your best while keeping safety and form paramount. Made the biggest change in myself (inside and out) thanks to this box. Thereβs a reason folks drive from all over the city to train here.

I've been doing this cf thing for a while, and I was starting to lose my love for it. After moving to Nee Orleans, I was overwhelmed by the amount of options within an acceptable travel radius. Despite the numbers of gyms, it took me a long time to find the right box for me in New Orleans.
I'm picky, so my new home had to have the right mixture of a positive and welcoming community, passionate and educated coaches, well-thought-out programming, and the right equipment to get the job done.
A majority of the local boxes had some of these attributes, but CrossFit Algiers has them all. From my first drop in it was clear that everyone was having fun. Regardless of the workout... Regardless of the ages or strengths of the athletes, people were enjoying the difficulty and finding solace in the supportive atmosphere. Coaches actually gave cues and pushed you. They made people scale to the right weights. They looked out for safety first...which is huge. Fun, tough, fair... That's old-school CrossFit to me. That's what I had been searching for.
It wasn't long before I started making friends and looking forward to the next day's challenge. I had fallen in love with CrossFit again. It's great that after 5 years of doing this sport, I found a community that could challenge me while making it fun again.
That's a rare find.
Hope you check it out.

Absolutely LOVE this box!!!! It is not your standard gym. This place welcomes everyone as if they are family. The coaches and staff are amazing and push each person to reach their individual goals. I am so happy I found this box and encourage everyone to stop in and give it a try. You won't be disappointed.
