I brought Dani California again. Had the best time. I met almost every boxer, trainer. I met Isaiah Cortez and his family. So much fun. Dani California loved it. We love Mike. So excited for him. He is obviously highly respected by the community. New Orleans is so much fun, but this, this was like a gunfight in the Wild West. Everyone was so blown away. I just walked right up to boxers and got to talk to them. They all know each other and share a sportsmanship like I have never seen ever. Overwhelming impressed Mike. You know how to throw a party. The intrigue seemed to linger in the streets. Nobody really knew how to take it. I saw it all. People piled up on their cars, climbing the windows. Morgan said I should come see you next week, after we go fishing. Awesome people in New Orleans. My mind is blown away. People were saying that this was the most beautiful event, bringing people together. I agree and look forward to talking to Mike next week, and a neighborhood pastor wants to talk to me as well. Highly recommended for anyone that has never experienced boxing, martial arts, etc. Yes, children as young as 8 years old can join the boxing scene. I have been looking for a boxing family for a while and I moved back to NOLA and seen this gym and when i tryed to walk in to look around i was stopped at the door the owner didn’t allow me to enter i asked him if i can get a little information and was asking questions but he was very hostile towards me and i did not like that is that how u treat everyone u lost a customer im just looking for a boxing gum home thats is and thats all that is not cool at all

I know my 14 year old kid needs accountability, learn to be respectful, practice self control emotions, and training to get his rage into a punch bag and stay out of trouble. This place seems to be the place to work with you once you pay in cash for the sessions and they’ll get you a trainer the next day for 7 days a week.

Terrible management and deeply uncomfortable environment. Went in to inquire about trainers. Seems the more questions I had the more agitated the guy got. There was also a loose dog running around that the guy had to tell me i had to “watch that dog”. I simply wanted to consult with a trainer but there weren’t any trainers there for me to talk to and possibly schedule a consultation. The guy instead got agitated and told me not to worry about trainers just pay him money and he’d find me one. This was hard to trust so I didn’t do it.

I've been involved in boxing since 1996. Almost every aspect (pro boxer, coach, referee, gym owner, promoter). I own a boxing gym, but was in New Orleans for work and trained here. The owner Mike is legitimate in the sport dating back well over 20 years and if you talk to him and start dropping names, you'll see he's easy to verify. The gym has everything it needs. There's a lot of frauds in this sport. Don't take a chance - train here. 100% verified.

Mike (the owner) is a character! He like a stereotypical New Yorker --that's his persona. He's a nice guy and his dog is awesome too!

His Friday Night Fights Gym has a minimalist theme similar to The Body Doctors Gym. Friday Night Fights gym is a non-corporate, down-to-earth, locally owned and operated gym in on the rapidly developing OCH (Oretha Castle Haley) strip.

You feel like you're at home when your at the Mike's gym. To me, that's worth the $40 a month.

called to ask about training packages. Representative was extremely rude. Stated that they would charge 40$ for a session. asked about preliminary session which is standard before you invest in personal training. Stated no, you buy one and went on a rant about being around for 13 years and asked had I done
my homework. On what website, I don't know because they only have a Facebook page with little to no information. Poor costumer service and poor advertising so that means poor product.

This gym is the real deal.
It has all necessary equipment to follow through a complete boxing routine, and a get-down-to-business atmosphere. Personal training is also available if you feel like taking yourself to the next level.
It also has clean bathrooms and a flexible schedule.
