I absolutely love hotworkx because I get shy at gyms. This place remind me so much of curves where you can work out in private . Gabie was so nice and sweet with showing us around . My daughter and I will be joining today .

Maddie is amazing and we love her! Every time me and my friend come in she is always here and always greets us by name. I’ve been to other hotworx locations and this one is by far the best. It’s always quiet, clean, and they always have hair ties in the bathroom!!

Gretchen is the sweetest person! I had my first hot worx experience ever with her. I called ahead to say that I was going to be a guest. When I got there she greeted me by my name (which she has done very time I have seen her since). She set up my mat and asked if I had any questions. My friend forgot her hair tie and had her hair tied up with a sock but Gretchen noticed and gave her a hair tie from her car. This is what made me sign up! Now every time I see her she knows my name and says I hope to see you again. Now when ever me and my friend come together we say “man I hope Gretchen is working”

I told myself that I would write this review if I managed to lose 50 pounds, so here I am.  In early April I was 250.1 pounds, and little more than six months later I weigh in below 200 pounds.  Some of that time was spent working out my nutrition, and then I got HOT.  I'm not sure about all the science that goes into it, but hot exercise has been successful for me.  HOTWORX is saving my life, and I'm thankful for it every day.

First a review of the Harahan location that's my home studio, and then I'll talk about the HOTWORX experience:  I am 54.  I have belonged to a lot of gyms in my lifetime and I have had different experiences at each one.  I have belonged to hard-core lifting gyms, cardio focused gyms, and gyms that seemed more like social clubs than "fitness centers".  I'm not going to name names, but for one reason or another I didn't stick with any of those places.  My experience at HOTWORX has been radically better.

I follow HOTWORX groups on social media and I see lots of people comment on the negative aspects of their locations and when I read those posts I'm surprised because my experience at the Harahan studio surpasses any other gym to which I have belonged.  The staff at Harahan is a support crew.  They are always in motion; always helping.  The facility is always spotless.  I have seen staff meticulously clean every square inch of the equipment.  On any random day that I'm there, someone always cleans the floor.  The bathrooms are always stocked, the shower always clean, and even though we are all human bodies sweating off the calories, it usually smells nice (or at least OK).  If there is a problem, it gets fixed.  The staff is always friendly, engaging, and helpful.  Ownership is responsive.  This place is awesome all the time.  If you are equidistant between two locations, come to Harahan.  If you have to drive further, come to Harahan.  It's worth the drive.

The other good thing about the Harahan studio is the membership.  There is a cooperative atmosphere.  Everybody wipes down the equipment, is respectful, and moves efficiently between sets.  This is not a jock gym where everyone is competing for their next set - we all work together and everybody wins.  Sometimes there's a wait for the shower, but we all wait patiently and move quickly when it's our turn.

You can come in during staffed hours and someone will show you around and explain everything to you.  You can have a free session.  Someone will show you how to adjust the bikes or strap yourself into the rowing machine.  If you have questions, ask.  Even if you don't join, it's free to look and you may be surprised at what you see.  I wouldn't recommend it if it wasn't working for me.

Read your contract VERY carefully. There is NO way to cancel without paying for at least another month. Regardless of circumstances. To cancel immediately is 99$ and you don’t get to finish the month you’ve already paid for, or you can pay $140 for 2 additional months… it’s a racket and I will never be back.

The person at the front desk was very kind, but the company overall is a scam.

Again, anyone who chooses to workout there, read the whole contract, even though it is on a small iPad and they don’t offer a paper copy. It’s only emailed to you AFTER you sign it. Again. Ali and Karlie are amazing. All of the rules were explained easily. This is NOT a place like a planet fitness etc. This is a specialty, private, clean, infrared sauna experience.
I hate working out and cannot tell you how many gyms I've quit. This place is immaculate and I highly recommend.

When signing up they use a tablet and don't print out the contract. All questions I asked several were lies like being allowed to bring my 14yr for free. To break contract you must pay $99 for immediate release of membership or pay for 2 more months which is $120. Found Planet Fitness much less expensive and more benefits

Great location, great community, and a great group of members.
Ownership is extremely dedicated to the quality of their facility and programming, and very responsive to questions and concerns.
Staff is extremely conscientious about cleanliness and organization. The restroom/shower area is always immaculate, and never once have I had to search for a towel or spray to clean equipment with, nor have I ever seen any of the FX Zone equipment left out of place or out of order.
I cannot recommend this gym more highly.
