This is my first experience with a personal trainer and Nick Ortego hasn’t disappointed. I haven’t really exercised in over 30 years so I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to keep up, but Nick meets you where you’re at. His personal and focused attention to detail- your personal details- is impressive. I deal with neck problems and fibromyalgia and Nick asks “How’s my body feeling?” at the beginning of each session and means it. He tailors my warm up and stretches to target any pain or discomfort I’m experiencing so that my body can be properly stretched and ready for our training session. I really enjoy the fact we are doing strengthening and toning bodywork, as I recently lost 100 lbs and need a lot of toning. My body has begun to take shape after working with Nick these past 6 months, not only showing definition but also providing strength in my arms, legs and the rest of my body. Thank you Nick for helping instill confidence and self-esteem in me, as well as filling my head with knowledge and helpful tips along the way! ❤️

I met Nick Ortego through the very strong recommendation of a co-worker several months ago. Over the past two years, I have lost 50 pounds and in doing so, I also lost muscle along with my core strength. I needed a trainer to get ready for my wedding. With Nick’s help, I lost 40 pounds in a year. Nick isn’t an average trainer. He’s incredibly knowledgeable on the body and what it needs. He builds you up into the workouts in a way where you’re working hard, but not overdoing it. He tailors the workouts to fit the needs of your body specifically. He is as much into the health of the mind as he is the physical health. He taught me breathing techniques, meditation, and how to alter my mindset when it came to my relationship with food and exercise. He’s encouraging and gives you the confidence to be your best self. Nick is an outstanding professional and personal trainer. I had no experience working out and no idea where to start. I tried to work out on my own before but was doing exercises that were too difficult for my physical condition and I didn’t have confidence that I was doing it correctly so I always gave up. He did an assessment to know exactly what condition my body was in and developed a custom fitness plan to help me get going. His understanding of biology and movement is evident. He was great about instructing and motivating me, but also educating me along the way. I worked with him for 3 months and learned how to keep evolving my routine to continually, but gradually, challenge myself. With Nick’s help I have become one of those annoying people that love morning workouts to kick start my day. At 50 years old I feel healthier and stronger than I have in 25 years. I highly recommend working with him no matter what your current physical condition is. He has the genuine interest and knowledge to help you develop healthy habits and achieve your goals. I discovered Nick through a friend who had been working with him for a while, and I could see the positive results, so it inspired me to give him a call. Nick is not a one-size-fits-all trainer. What I really like is that he took the time to learn what my fitness goals were before we ever started the first exercise. His diagnostic and prescriptive approach identified the muscle groups in my body that needed strengthening. The result is that my running form has improved significantly, which was one of my goals. Nick is extremely well-educated as to the body and spirit, and understands that living well involves more than just a few exercises, it involves a broad perspective.
