The upright pinch crunch machine has still not been repaired or replaced for a couple years now. You cannot add weight with the pin above 100 alrhough the machine has a max of 160. It also still slips on takeoff. This us a great machine for core work and I wish it worked properly. I have spoken with the staff and they do not seem to care. For $27 a month, I guess you get what you pay for.

Been coming here for about a decade. Always a good staff and clean environment. The machines are wearing down. More than a few of the treadmills wobble above a jogging pace. A few stairmasters lose traction above Level 10 and could cause injury via imbalance. The crunch machine next to the lat pulldowns does not have full range of motion - it slips when you reach full extension. These machines have been like this for 2 years+ so it needs to be talked about and they should be replaced.

I went to this location today and apparently they let homeless people come in now. I watched 2 very obviously homeless men walk right on in without saying a word to them. Why am I paying for a membership when homeless people can just walk right on in? I don't feel safe at this location anymore knowing homeless men have free range of the place.

I'm not a fan of this location. I bought a black card membership but this is my home gym. As soon as I finished signing up I was told all black card "spa" services were down and they had no idea when they'd be back running. Then after 2 weeks, the girl says they only aren't working because they are waiting for the manager to add a shelf then they'll plug everything back in. Then when all that finely opens, the women's locker room is closed not for one day but an entire 3 days. No bathroom, showering, or changing. What in the world am I paying for?? Half the time there aren't paper towels or the holder doesn't work or there is no spray. Nasty people full of sweat just dripping off don't clean their machines. Even after the locker room was closed for 3 days, the shower head still leaks in the only shower I can use bc I need the shower with the bench. After the showers were fixed, they left all the tools and such in the locker room. They didn't bother putting them away. Tried to use the total body but an employee was eating in there and playing on his phone. When I asked him to leave, he left his food and drink so I had to be like hey, can you get your stuff out of here. Everything looks so dated dingy and dirty. Paint and new wallpaper would go a long way.

I used to live in Baton Rouge and this was a nice gym.It has definitely gone down!Not clean rude gym people sitting on equipment on their phones many paper towels holders with no paper and a man was working in the women's bathroom so I wasn't even comfortable changing. DO BETTER.

Staff is welcoming and congenial, knowledgeable, helpful immediately if there is a need or question. PF is clean and bright; restroom areas are clean and spacious, with plenty of stalls n changing areas. Equipment offers lots of choices ( including everything recommended by my physical therapist); equipment is kept in good condition and quickly repaired when needed. PF is a place where friendships are made, and people encourage one another; a safe, comfortable environment that appeals to clients of varying ages, abilities and levels of fitness. I’ve tried several fitness centers and this one “fits me” best!

Today being Thursday I came to this Planet Fitness location because the facilities do work and they have updated equipment. Also the showers tend to be hot every time I am in Baton Rouge. My work allows me travel through most of the parishes in the state so it made sense for me to get the black card membership to use any of the locations. I came at 12am and did my workouts and casually was on a phone call with a friend. I stepped out twice to get my shoes and later time to get food after workout. The thick black girl with glasses on the 12am Thursday December 19 shift made a comment that was not comfortable with. She said I have been in the gym since 12 am and blah blah it is not allowed for me to linger around. In my head I was like huh?? I do not need to linger around mam. Sorry if me taking time to work out was a problem for you!!! Where did it say in the contract that I could not leave and come back due to me getting different shoes and some post work out food. I left my gym bag in the locker rooms because I would obviously use them after my workout!!! That drove me nuts when I went to use the rest room like it felt I was being kicked out…… After I was done using the restroom, I simply took my belongings and walked out without even looking at her. I will be making a complain the next time I come around.

It’s now been 2-3 months at PF. We were at another gym before this. Can’t express how happy we are at PF. The equipment is in working order and clean. The sounds in the gym are about the same level as two people speaking to each other. No loud background music so I can hear my own music easily. No trainers with amplifiers directing classes and yelling. Bottom line, a nice, quiet, calm workout.

If anybody is thinking about joining Planet Fitness in Denham Springs allow me to fill you in on what you will be signing up for. As everyone is aware if you purchase a protein drink or any drink for that matter at any Planet Fitness in the country with the exception of Denham Springs, you will be asked if you want to pay with card you have on file or do you want to use another card. Dalton, the 19 year old employee that was working the front desk at Denham Springs at the time I purchased a protein drink took it upon himself to charge my company credit card WITHOUT EVEN ASKING ME and it woke my boss up at midnight which is when I work out because all charges to said card are sent via text to his phone. This is where it gets hilarious. Dalton, who obviously has no idea what he is doing having been trained by his GM Josh tells me I have to use that card on file and convinces me to use my personal credit card in which the very next day May 17th I am charged $27.54 for my membership!! Lol. The kicker is I have been there for 2 years and have not had the first problem but to make matters worse when I returned to the facility to inform Josh the GM there he looked at me as if he could not see the forest through the trees and till this very moment has no idea of the seriousness of what his employee by not just once but twice using my card without my permission. I have been a supervisor for 40 plus years and have never seen such a circus until I encountered Josh and Dalton. What’s unfortunate is nothing will be done to rectify the problem at Denham Springs that is why I had no choice but to go back to Siegen Lane with Nick and his crew of seasoned professionals at what they do over there. Josh would fail at running a one man French fry crew at McDonalds yet he is actually attempting to run Denham Springs. Very embarrassing to say the least so anybody who reads this and is thinking about joining Denham Springs by all means call me I will gladly introduce you to what you are signing up for. Respectfully yours. There is nothing more to discuss I want nothing to do with Denham Springs Planet Fitness. Not impressed at all with your typical generic default response that does absolutely nothing. A suggestion you can take it or leave but Josh is absolutely clueless and how he got by the owner to take the position of a gm blows my mind. Please do not contact me any longer we have moved on to Siegen Lane.

Moved recently so now the Siegen location is closer. Went last weekend. It smelled like pee and it was really dark, like their lighting needed updating. Overall seemed like just an outdated location. Some strange dark areas with random tables and chairs thrown about. Just not a well maintained space. That smell though had me cut my workout short. Maybe the bathrooms need a good scrub down or maybe there's something more serious that needs to be checked out. So I'll be trekking back to the Airline Location. Hope they give this spot the attention it needs. And I really hope they add a Location close to LSU.

I am reaching out to you today in regards to a complaint. I am here working in the Baton Rouge area, and across the state of Louisiana to help the great citizens here who have suffered a tornado, and their homes have either been a total loss or they are currently displaced while repairs to restore their home takes place.

I came in to take a shower, and get in a workout. I had spoken with one of your employees,and I was informed that it was ok to use the internet on a prior day. You had a young lady there that greeted me, and was very kind as she watched me take my computer out and attempt to touch some files that I needed to before the AM, and then I was going to begin my workout shortly after.

Shortly after another one of your female staff members by the name Ambrio came out because she heard me singing, and she asked if I needed anything I told her no. She then waited a few minutes more, and asked me how long I was going to be on my computer because your regulars would be coming in, and suggesting that it was time for me to leave. I informed her that I was ok'd by another employee on another day which is why I thought it was ok.

I informed her that I also use the internet at other locations, and had not received a problem in the past. She then stated "here we go again". I asked "What do you mean", and she stated "not you, it's just that customers are not allowed to use the internet if we are not working out. I informed her that I was planning on working out but that I was touching up on some work first before, but that I would just leave to aliviate any problem.

She then asked me for my name so that she could look up my account. I was upset by this because I had done nothing wrong. I asked for the managers information, and I asked her to show me where it was in the policy that I cannot use the internet. She informed me that I could look it up myself or take it up with the manager. I stated if she was the one exercising the policy that I would like for her to show it to me, and she stated that she would not, and that I could leave or that she would call the police on me because that is what the manager advised her to do for customers that were "arguing".

I did not think that I was arguing, I was simply asking for clarification, and this set me off. It is all too often that people think it is ok to threaten young black men with the police, and being that she is a black female I don't understand how she doesn't know how dangerous this rhetoric, and ideology is. It also was beyond disrespectful for her to tell me that I had to leave because "THE REGULAR CUSTOMER" would be arriving soon.

She became upset that I was asking questions, and then asked for the managers information. I told her that I would be filing a complaint, and she told me not to worry that my account was already suspended. I don't feel that anything was done wrong to go to such extremes when I was only attempting to work, and proceed with my day as a member. I have never disturbed anyone at this location, and I feel completely devalued as a new customer who has just recently joined Planet Fitness. I have never had such a thing happen to me at LA Fitness which I have been a member of also for several years.

I only joined because I saw that Planet Fitness has begun to invest so much into their customer, and I wanted to give it a try, but to say the least this has been a horrible experience. I can see this location is in a bad area, but that is not a reflection of your customers that may be coming in from out of town. I should not have received this treatment, and I am ok with obeying policy but there is an appropriate way that your employees should communicate this policy.

I would like to say Planet Fitness-Denham is awesome. From the beginning the staff, Lee now works during the day and Ryan who still working his fingers to the bone always cleaning the equipment and forever straightening all the benches, always smiled and make you feel welcomed. Nice size gym with a Good range of gym equipment. The staff are really nice and professional as well. The lay out is nice as well and spread out well. I usually go to a different location but this one was convenient one this day. I went mid afternoon On a Monday and it wasn't too busy at all. I know I should be rating a gym based off its bathrooms but the last two times I have went the bathrooms have been disgusting. To the point where it feels like they haven’t been cleaned in days. The other day went into the stall to take the browns to the superbowl and there was no toilet paper except for a wadded up bunch of it tucked into the hand rail and there literally was urine every where. All of the floor, toilet and on the hand railing the toilet paper was tucked into. Plenty of equipment and plenty of room have yet to interact with the staff but they seem friendly.
