Not disability friendly at all.they have 2 machines that are friendly to the mobility challenged.Multiple people with disabilities have asked that the disabled friendly machines be replicated. A typical day in this place is always dirty. That feces has been there 24 hours a day. Sometimes I leave papers on the floor to see if they clean them up, and they spend weeks there until I get tired and pick them up. I don't understand why they close the gym if they can't clean it in that time. This place definitely has no management.

The air conditioner has been broken for at least two months! That I know of, it’s probably been longer than that. I have already spoken with the front desk and with the assistant manager. At the very minimum, we deserve the last two months payment back and they need to stop taking out payments until this air conditioning is fixed. We live in Louisiana and working out without air-conditioning, it’s not even possible !
I saw A review posted a week ago and the response was to let the front desk know so that they can tell the maintenance team, as if the maintenance team does not already know this. They are putting people off so they do not lose money. Everyone needs to start complaining so you can get your money back. Maybe that is when they will fix the problem when you hit them in the pocketbook.

Poor review is for the men’s showers. As a black card member I’ve maybe been to 20 PF the last few months. These showers are in the most disarray that I’ve seen. 4 showers, one is handicapped, so I don’t even try that one (can’t bring myself to take the only handicap shower). The first of the other three never gets warm. I tried the dial both ways since sometimes the hot and cold are plumbed backwards. I waited about 3 minutes before trying the next one, which also doesn’t ever get warm and had the added bonus of water spraying sideways from a loose bolt. The third shower got warm immediately (great), but was missing the shower head cap so water comes out like a fire hose in two places and dribbles out in a third for totally inconsistent water that is too intense for the face. These showers have soap dispensers (which is nice because many PF do not), but the one (of three) showers was totally out, while the other two were full - probably because it’s the only shitty shower that gets used (an indication that the showers have been broken for a while.

A new male employee threw me out today at 6:53pm . I scanned my app with my name and provided my license with my address. My license shows my gym is correct to my address. My app shows Metairie, so he says this isn’t my gym. I brought my 13 old daughter with me. I am a black card member. Apparently my app isn’t real because the home page doesn’t show a black card plus guest option at a certain line. I have lived here 1 year in May and have gone to this gym since I moved. Member 2.5 years. Said my child could download an app and pay to accompany me. Absolutely awful.

Update: manager told me to request the equipment here. There are several people using this machine for cardiac rehab. Today I had to wait as I was third in line. A rip off I was a member here where I guess I’m still a member there because they are refusing to let me cancel my membership. They want me to drive all the way to the east to cancel my membership, but when I tried to go to the east location to cancel my membership. They were closed due to the air conditioner not working or something last year. I really don’t remember so yeah I just haven’t even dealt with it. I don’t understand why I can’t cancel Through online where I apply and mind you. I said that the location in Metairie is the location I wanted and they still put my application through to the location in the east mind you they still think that I’m gonna pay them even though I’m not allowed to go in because I haven’t paid for my membership because I wanted to cancel it. Oof. It’s been several months since I worked out at this particular location within the chain, and I was swiftly reminded why I avoid this location.

There’s nothing I love more than being harassed by the management and the staff at this location. I scanned my QR coded membership at the front and less than 15 minutes I had the club manager in my face yelling at me about not scanning in. I scanned in front of 2 staff members at the location only to still be hawked down by management. The locker rooms still aren’t cleaned on a daily basis with zero soap in the dispenser if you go to take a shower….byos!

Be mindful when interacting with the staff; they will act friendly, but they are not your friend. Ha ha ha hopefully next time I visit, the club treats their members better.

Came here to visit and honestly was very nervous. When I walked in the woman behind the desk must have realized I was uneasy and in the sweetest southern voice said “you ok sweetie?” I proceeded to tell her I was a little uneasy being by myself and visiting out of town. She was so kind and took the time to show me around, introduce me to a few regulars, and told me if I need anything to let her know. She then stopped by to check on me about an hour in to my workout. Her kindness made me feel very comfortable and I look forward to my next business trip there. I can’t remember her real name but she said to call her T. When I called a few days later to speak to the manager to let them know about their staff and my wonderful experience, I was glad to hear that T was the manager! This is great because if that is the example your employees have to follow, they are in great hands!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best Planet Fitness Experience Yet!

I’m generally not a fan of Planet Fitness because, despite being a “no-judgment zone,” I’ve often encountered restrictions on what I can and can’t do in other locations. However, the Gretna, Louisiana Planet Fitness exceeded my expectations.

I was only in town for three days, so I opted for day passes. From the moment I walked in at 430 AM, I was greeted with exceptional customer service. Angelette at the front desk was amazing—welcoming, energetic, and made me feel right at home, even at such an early hour.

The gym itself was spacious, very clean, and all the equipment was in great condition. The locker room was spotless, and I was able to get a solid workout in without any of the usual limitations or interruptions I’ve experienced at other Planet Fitness locations.

This is hands down the best Planet Fitness I’ve visited. It was conveniently located just three minutes from my hotel, and the day passes were reasonably priced. Kudos to this location for setting a new standard in the Planet Fitness experience!

Especially since yall went woke. You should visit this location a few times. I came back to write about the nonworking a\c. I have asthma and it's HOT outside. So hot that the air is so thick that I can barely breathe. I walked in last week and had to leave because it was just as hot and muggy in the gym as it was outside. I can't breathe in there. I go to the Algiers location now. The a\c works and the staff are friendly as well. I've only seen one person smile at the Gretna location. She works early morning shift. The rest of the crew couldn't care less about their job, muchless the customer service given. They're just npc's filling a spot. Algiers location: the staff ALL smile and greet me and everyone else that I've seen. Apparently there's an issue with management in gretna. Get rid of that person. They will drive that gym into the ground. An owner should know these things. Fix it.

Gretna Location: I've been a member of this location for several years now, and have been ok, however, a couple of weeks ago inquired about the warmer temperature in the front main workout area. You can tell the difference. Gets hot when trying to work out. I brought it up to staff and at another time to manager that was on duty that day. Manager said that there is a unit that is out and waiting for approval to have fixed. As a paying member expressing concern about this. I travel a lot and get showers at PF. My first night in Nola I was to early for my room reservation and to late to find anything else so I stayed at the gym all night and dozed off a couple times. The same lady woke me every time and that is fine, I understand it is not a place for napping. The next day she kicked me out during my stretches and refused to listen... This lady is the worst power tripping over controlling staff I have ever seen at a PF and I will never use this location again.

One of the best part of coming to the gym are the fitness classes they offer. The fitness instructor Antonio is fantastic. I’ve been to many classes at different gyms and fit body boot camps and will say that Antonio is one of the best I’ve seen. He keeps you motivated, engaged and on track with cardio and focused body workouts. I have noticed a change in both my strength and endurance. I've held out on going to Planet Fitness, but I broke down and got the membership. I just didn't want to be like everyone else. It's in my nature to be rebellious, and I'm not ashamed to admit it.

Anywho... this particular club stays busy. There is no shortage of people there.I like this because it motivates me to push myself. There are lots of treadmills, bikes, and ellipticals as well.

The weight section stays busy. I have never had a negative encounter at the gym. I like the location as well because it's in a shopping center and easily accessible from multiple entries.

This is going to sound dumb but I love the asthetic of planet fitness. The purple and gold are rather striking, and it makes me happy to go in the gym. I did some research and found that this is to soothe and motivate patrons. They are extremely popular, so they must be doing something right!

This location has massage chairs and an infrared sauna as well.

If you're trying to get fit, then try planet fitness. What's the worst that could happen? Besides, you could always cancel your membership.

I like going to this planet fitness it's always clean the staff is always great I've recently started working out with one of the trainer instructors Antonio he is amazing he push you just the right amount and makes you want to come back very motivational thanks a million Antonio and all the staff at planet fitness Gretna

The best gym, just avoid the peak times. Mornings for the hot chix motivation ,evening to lock in and get that body right. Everyone is respectful and it is a great place to relieve some stress.
So today we work arms, cause if you wanna be snack ,as she let's you feel up her rack you better have arms🤣🤣🤣
