I love this gym, however what I don’t like is seemingly the arbitrary rules that aren’t posted anywhere : I planned to use the massage lounge at 8:40 pm today for 10 min. and I was told by the front desk ladies that the massage section CLOSES at 8:30 “because the gym closes at 9”,
I wasn’t aware that the employees have to leave the gym at 9. You guys have to post these things so we can plan accordingly.

The staff and overall culture at this Planet Fitness location are truly above par. Everyone is friendly, professional, and takes the time to get to know members on a genuine level. You can really feel the positive energy in the way the team interacts with each other, not just with clients.

As a nurse, I’m used to hearing patients comment on how much it matters when a staff enjoys working together — people feel it. I experience that same warmth and team spirit here at PF Metairie, and it absolutely enhances the member experience.

The Walmart of gyms. Lacking a lot. No hip rotation machines, no prone leg curl machine. 2 of other 3 leg machines and 1000 treadmills and its cheap. What do you expect. Edit * I've expressed my concerns on lack thereof what I think are basic model equipment. But, I got... oh, only Gretna has the prone machine... ( actually Slidell does too) not like they could really do anything about it. I encourage you to get more leg and hip machines, as the aging population really needs more. Meanwhile, I'll manage until I decide to change gyms that have more standard basic equipment. But, thanks for the reply. Its not a bad place and it is very clean, so thanks.

This location has got to be the worst out of them all. Every other machine is broken and it's way to crowded to even enjoy yourself. I was using the stair master and it literally threw me to my feet like I was free falling. You tell the staff and they just put out of service signs on them. You can see dust on almost all cardio machines. When you walk in they are so busy they aren't even checking for memberships. Trash on the ground throughout the enter establishment. You won't find parking and if you park on the side street you are bound to get wrecked into by the traffic. I'll be making the drive to river ridge from now on!

This is the first gym I've been to, and so far so good! I've been going for almost a year. It's a very clean environment every time I go, with a good selection of equipment and attentive staff. Some days are busier than others, so sometimes there's a wait for machines or dumbells, but other than that no complaints. Most people are there to do their thing and leave, so I haven't had any bad experiences with anyone so far!

I've always worked out in my "home dungeon" but spend too much time at home so I joined PF just to get out and be around other humans. Like man, I have a lot of preconceived notions about PF. NONE of which were true. It's a bonified gym with real gear to get a real workout. I ain't seen a pizza once. The staff always seems to be very nice. I'm not mad at it and as long as I'm in the states I'll get down with them .

Kinda disappointed in this location. For 1, there’s not enough cleaning stations. For 2, the cleaning stations don’t even have paper towels half the time. For 3, half the people that work out here don't bother to clean the machines or benches. For 4, the women’s bathroom is usually pretty gross and certainly not maintained enough. For 5, the staff here at this very moment ignore you. When I walked in, they didn't get off the counter or speak to me. I even said hi and got no response. I’ve never seen them before and I stood there to use the amenities and after my hour and a half work out and no one even acknowledged me. The woman sitting on the chair was talking to someone else. The man sitting on the counter looked at me once and didn’t bother to get up to help me or say a word to me. So I left. And lastly, the amount of people that go in this gym with slides on or open toed shoes on and actually work out that way without being told anything blows my mind. That’s a law suit waiting to happen.

The number of cardio machines allows for me to get a workout anytime I go to the gym. The staff is always friendly, professional and courteous. The gym is always clean including the restrooms and Men's locker room area. This location is close to my home but I’d rather use the other locations. First the parking is horrible, most times I can’t find a parking spot. Secondly, the building is too small for the amount of people that’s allowed in, you’re literally running into people. Thirdly the kids!!!!!! There are obvious minors playing and hogging the machines, doing tik toks, FaceTimes, etc. A lot of the equipment is out dated and broken. I tried using the the hydro bed, but had to get an attendant because a gentleman was sleeping on the bed. What’s weirder they knew him by name. So this seems to be a common practice. Idk what the issue is but this location needs help.

Enjoyed working out here 5 times a week. Stayed in New Orleans for a month and it was easy to sign up while visiting.
Staff was very nice. Love the app for check in. Free guest pass each visit.
Facility and restrooms were well maintained. I saw staff cleaning each time I was there. Equipment was nice; I liked the rep counter and clock on each machine. Tons of cardio with a lot of stair climbers. I liked the Black Card area with massage chairs, loungers, and beds.

My home gym is in Atlanta, GA and the beginning process of this was very stupid. I could not pull up my BlackCard on the phone app because I was out of town. The staff initially said they could not pull up my information because I started out of town. They told me to find my membership number. Found the membership number and they could not look me up that way. They finally tried my phone number and my information popped right up.

The gym is spacious but old and has weird smells. I was able to find open machines and everything works good. Parking lot is packed and hard to get in and out. It is a decent gym.

Couldn't think of a better place to work out! Tons of machines, all of the workers are friendly, very clean and YES there is no intimidation here!! None of the loud obnoxious grunting or noises you hear at other gyms! My 15 year old daughter feels comfortable here and doesn't feel intimidated either. Plus they have a red light bed, tanning bed, and massage bed for a monthly price you cant beat!

This location gets very packed during rush-hour. Like a review below said, it is a good idea to park across the street in the parking lot of the Rouse.
