The gym is large, clean, and well maintained. The staff was friendly and professional. In the last 3 months I saw them several times give tours to new members. Although I never needed assistance from them, I saw they were excellent employees from their interactions with other members. For this they get 2 stars.
The showers had little to no hot water. If they did have hot water, it lasted about 15 seconds. After that it was ice cold. I watched for 3 months while I was there, and according to other reviews this has been going on for longer, with zero resolution. Whoever is the manager or the owner of this facility is failing at their job.

My Team and I joined Planet Fitness because it was right across the street. Our lunch hour includes our workout and we are loving the ability to get a workout in, the variety of machines and the fact that it’s such a relaxed atmosphere without all of the machines in use even at prime times. Great staff as well!

Good machines, clean and relatively quiet, but I attended as a guest of a black card member to see if I wanted to join and one of the things I asked to try was the water massage bed and massage chair as they would be something I would use as a black card member on a regular basis. I was not allowed to try either one, so I have no way to evaluate if I would be satisfied with the pressure of these devices and therefore, I did not become a member.

I love how many options there are for different workouts. I usually do the 30 Minute circuit, then a few things in the ab/stretching room (hip abduction, hip adduction, glutes), and the treadmill. If there was anything I'd like to change is the videos that pop-up when you scan some of the equipment. I feel they aren't super accurate on how to do some things. Like the hip abduction video shows quick open and closing of the legs and the proper was is to open and hold so it slowed progress. But otherwise, I love the environment.

It’s a friendly environment! I normally go in the afternoon so it don’t really be packed as much in Opelousas gym but I do recommend they add in a few more machines and things like ropes and medicine balls maybe some jump ropes and kettle balls and they should extend they hours a lil more or a 24/7 gym

I want to recognize employee Kevin Broussard, Club Manager at the Opelousas facility for the beautiful job he does. Always greets with a smile, he walks around the club asking if the temperature setting is comfortable he even can call a club member by name, gives updates on the equipment that is out of service. A young person that represent his company well.

Gym and equipment was very clean and well kept. The showers, however, are not cleaned daily. I get that most of the members don’t utilize the showers but that’s no excuse to not clean them. The picture was taken in the morning, shortly after opening, which tells me they weren’t cleaned the night prior or the morning of.
