There are absolutely no older, white dudes and a old white man bro club that is territorial and they certainly don’t keep staring at you and excessively act like they own the gym. They certainly do not kind of keep acting like they are three times better than people of color they do not make others feel uncomfortable and they certainly do not work in morning and afternoon time . The management and leadership does not allow weird things like this and certainly does not allow rude behavior like this and intimidating, older white boy culture like this the leadership and management is really making sure to make it a friendly safe comfortable place. Certainly these white men do not at all make your others make you feel uncomfortable ……. The new manager is amazing and very open-minded and intelligent and smart and helpful and kind and respectful and I believe that the leadership and management of this place is amazing and excellent, which is really cool to see the assistant manager is great as well what I really appreciate about this place is that they don’t let bullies get away with bullying. They don’t appreciate people that aren’t friendly. They are very nice to everyone And the staff makes sure that everyone is friendly and cordial and respectful and kind that nobody is intimidating others and it sounds like a place where management and leadership really goes along length to make sure no sort of bullying and intimidation is allowed and also making sure that nobody is staring at somebody else with excessive intimidation, regardless of one person‘s background or the other Given it the age ,race, color of their skin ,age or gender. They make sure that older white gentleman, or people that may have power don’t get away with just abusing it and making others feel unwelcome and intimidated. The management leadership really makes sure that everyone belongs as their values are to make sure that everyone feels friendly and cordial and respectful and kind and it sounds like a place where there’s no regard for bullies and no patience for jerk behavior. And certainly I would easily say that about 99% of the people in the staff and the manager and everyone else just cares for safety and well-being and friendly lines and respect for all people and I can certainly say that the one percent the other one percent certainly does not try to find something and really hyper focus on people of color or stare at them or try to find an issue with them. They certainly do not try to make an issue out of nothing at all. they certainly don’t do that, but I would say for sure the management and majority of the employees are very, very, very very nice people and this is appreciated because just create a culture for the customers to also be on the good behavior and be kind and respectful and friendly and cordial, and be good citizens and good people regardless of how or what they look like thank you ...ONLY REQUEST ----the only thing they can do better is possible increase the hours AND TIMES THEY ARE OPEN that the planet fitness is OPEN FOR....MANY OF MY FRINEDS WISH IT WAS OPEN UNTIL 12 midnight ALL DAYS AND MORE , UNTIL LATER ON WEEKENDS....Thank you so much for making this an inclusive welcoming, friendly safe and family place. Almost every bulb was out in the tanning bed — only about 5 were working last time I attempted to go. This has been going on for months, and every time I ask I’m told they’re “waiting on someone to fix it.” I pay for a membership but can’t even use the service. Very disappointing, I won’t be coming back to Planet Fitness in West Monroe.

This is one of the best Planet Fitness gyms that I have been to. I do a lot of cross country driving and have decided to start reviewing the ones I stop at...

Firstly, the staff was exceedingly helpful, it was Friday night around 8pm, male and female at the desk I wish I would have gotten their names. Very nice people!

The gym was super clean, one of the cleanest I've seen actually. The layout was well designed and not overly crowded with machines. There is a great stretching area with a dumbbell rack comfortably placed.

The bathrooms and showers were also very clean. The water was hot and the pressure was good. This location you do have to bring you own lock for the lockers.

Overall I would highly recommend this gym.

No rules gym at Planet Circus - West Monroe location. You can wear dirty work boots, jeans, Birkenstocks, flip flops, anything. Want to use machines improperly? This is your place! Walk (or run) backwards on the treadmills all day long! Don’t want to clean your machine after use? Totally allowed here!

Want to purchase a drink 15m before close? Forget about it. They won’t let you. But they will allow anything else!

And no, its not MY job to "notify" staff about anything. They can see what happens in the circus easily from their cushy spot in the lobby area.

This place is horrible! Let me give a little background. I signed up with them two years ago on a discount for educators. I was not disciplined enough to stick with it. I stopped going. After the first year, I was intending to go by but didn't make a fuss about the monthly payment. I don't even recall the monthly payments be drafted after a while. Then BAM!! I saw an ACH FOR ABOUT $56 today. I called and asked for assistance on cancelling my membership and obtaining a refund for today's draft.

The young man who was speaking with me became short and told me I would not be able to get a refund. I asked to speak with a manager and while in mid conversation, he left me on hold without notice for 17 minutes and 46sec. I then called from my desk phone. The young lady who answered was way more professional, and seemed to try to resolve my issue. She gave me a better experience but failed to satisfy my request. I asked why isn't there a notice sent as a reminder that a yearly payment is about to be drafted. She couldn't give me an answer but at least gave me direction on who to speak with. I requested a copy of the contract I signed from two years ago and she was unable to email me a copy.

I would not recommend this gym to anyone. Overall, I feel like the way this entity handles business is real shady.

I will be following up tomorrow and will update on my experience after dealing with a manager.

The Monroe location just has better equipment their chest press machine is far superior and actually aids in your form, as well as the pec fly machine they have.
having to wait 40 minutes because four teenagers are sitting on a machine playing with their phone is kind of ridiculous (there should be some kind of check and balance) the black card benefits really don't make up for the price especially the discount on drinks I can get a muscle milk in a better flavor for only 50 cents more from a gas station between the monthly fee and the annual fee it seems a bit excessive
Could definitely use better channels on the TV or just different ones I'm pretty sure most the people who are there to lose weight don't really care to watch three TVs of the food Network , and lastly as a person who goes out of his way to wipe down every bit of a surface he has touched
There is still tons of people who just leave machines absolutely disgusting you can smell them one machine over and they just leave it drenched it really should be more enforcement of your wipe down the equipment rule

Forever now, i have been having issues with this club, and the staff has been zero help solving my issues or being friendly/kind about it. The young employees are not well trained and instead of a friendly reminder to bring my CC in to update their records, I was told I’ll be asked to leave next time. Meanwhile, member dues were drafted from my account 4 days prior, but I was treated as if I’m not a paying customer.
In speaking with Cortney, the manager of WM & Monroe, she told me no less than 4 times how overwhelmed she is and then spoke over me as I explained my issue, just to tell me again how busy she is. I left that conversation more aggravated than before. The young, untrained employee handled customer service better than the manager when it came down to it, so I would not expect much more from Planet Fitness West Monroe without a change in management.

The staff's aMaZzInG, and the amenities are off the charts. I love the spa, the SPA!!! OH YES, the spa.. I am obsessed with the Total body workout machine. It's FABULOUS! And so refreshing after a rough workout. It does wonders for your skin too. The tanning bed options are amazing. Love the vertical/standing beds. and the the locker room.. omg! I've longed for a relaxed and clean locker room that I can take a shower in and not feel awkward and like I was being gwacked at. It's really chillax and quiet in there. There's everything we need. Lockers, sanitizer, blow-dryers, plenty of mirrors (girl thang) and PLENTY of dressing room. Which is a bonus when you have people getting dressed, showering, and changing into gym wear. It's really a blessing. And the fact that we can buy drinks while we are there is an added bonus. The workout machines go for DAYS! The fact that we have that option and free weights, as well as the 15/30 minute workouts, is the kicker! Most gyms don't give you that. It's great to know you can walk in and knock your workout out within minutes, or take your time on any given day. It all depends on what YOU want and what fits your needs. Not just what you feel is expected from you. That's a very comforting feeling and makes the gym experience so much more pleasurable and less stressful or overwhelming. I need that. Overall, this gym definitely fits a busy lifestyle or any lifestyle. And that's what makes it so amazing. Can't beat that in today's society. That alone and the low price, is what's going to keep me going back. I expect to be a member for a very long time. Definitely recommend this gym for anyone. The only thing it's truly lacking is a playroom for kids. That would give it a 5 rating. Right now, it's a strong 4.6 out of a 5 for me.

Rudest staff member I’ve met. I’ve been coming there with my wife for 4 years, 4 days a week minimum on her black card with no issues. Some days I get here before, for we meet after work and sometimes traffic delays one or the other. Never once have I had an issue scanning in and beginning a warmup while I wait.. This rude woman today would not allow me to work out until my wife walked in. She then lies to me and tells me that she’s tried to confront me multiple times before and I ignored her. This is a bald face lie. If this is a policy, then ok. But in this many years it’s never been a problem with anyone bc my wife is always 3-5 minutes ahead or behind me. I’ve in fact confirmed with several staff members that as long as my wife was almost there, I could begin. Nobody has ever tried to stop me. I know half the staff there personally and I would never have just snubbed an employee like that. This girl had a terrible attitude all over her face from the second I walked in. It was the rude and unnecessary treatment that ticked me off. the young girls spend the entire time playing on their phones , not even worrying about the guests standing right in front of them needing assistance. Won’t return to this location. One would think to treat long time members a little better than that.

The 4 Spin style bikes need attention! Two of the bikes are missing foot cages. (Safety Issue ) Video screens will show an error message every 10 minutes and the feed knocks you out completely on two of the bikes in the middle of your workout. Been this way for months. I recently rejoined PF after being at another gym and having a baby 6 months ago. I missed the machines PF offers and was looking forward to being back. On my first day back, literally the first machine I went to, a trainer that was there with a client called me out. He asked where my energy was at and said it looked like I was just “going through the motions.” I said that I hadn’t worked out awhile and he asked why. I told him I had a baby. Mon and Faith worked diligently the entire time I was there which was in total about 2 hours. They were constantly busy and helping guests. This place is usually nice, but recently I've seen people bring in these long thick ropes, around 15ft and block off the stretching area and several workout machines this creates a real safety hazard.
