This place is awesome! The vast amount of gym equipment is insane. So many options and variations to workout your muscles like never before! Downside is it can feel a bit crowded in some areas especially if it's busier than normal. Super great staff that were helpful and informative. They have an entire kitchen, many fridges with drinks, various protein snacks, and protein shakes. My only gripe is the locker room which had many naked people. Pretty uncomfortable when all I'm trying to do is wash my hands or use the bathroom. Prices are pretty fair for the amount of equipment and eminites provided. Will definitely sign up!

Our family LOVES Red’s!!! Lafayette is so blessed to have this gym. We moved back to Lafayette almost a year ago. Even though I came from a small family gym where we know everyone and that I love (The Gym of New Iberia🤩), I have loved being at Red’s! My favorite classes to attend are Circuit Training, Spin, Body Pump, and Pilates. The instructors are always welcoming, fresh, and helpful! There are so many times to choose from which makes scheduling my workout easy! Our 13 yr old takes Athletic Conditioning for Young Adults which he loves. My husband prefers the cardio and weight rooms. There’s something for everyone! 💪🏻🤩

Biggest gym in town with many amenities. Worth the money if you can handle constant construction and the attitude of the staff. The front desk and cafe especially I’ve experienced rude and dismissive service pretty consistently. I’ve been body shamed by staff members on occasion. I’ve been a member for over a year and the construction work stays noisy and inconvenient. Other than that I like it here. I wish they were more friendly but that is not the case.

Played a tennis tournament here recently, and I have to admit, the facility is very nice compared to those where I am from. However, I was absolutely appalled by the lack of hospitality that was expressed from a particular worker. Me and my friend found ourselves in a peculiar situation in which we were at a locked door, and there was heavy rain all around us and this entrance would have allowed us to stay dry and out of the deluge that was occurring around us. While one kind person was willing to open the door, a worker, whose name I do not have access to, instead told the kind person to back away from the door. With the rain only getting worse and this being the only entrance in which we would not get wet, one would expect for us to be allowed to enter the facility this way. This would prove to be a wrong assumption, as the worker felt the need to open the door, proving it could be accessed, and yell at us. We asked very politely if we could be let in, however, he told us we could “walk in the rain to the front entrance, because you guys are wet anyways”. A simple enforcement of a rule is understandable, but this pure lack of respect from this worker really left a bad taste in my mouth. I hope this worker gets reprimanded for his actions as a result, as I paid 80+ dollars and drove 3 hours just to be treated like garbage.

As a disabled person it’s a difficult gym to use. It needs updates, like doors that automatically open. The workout equipment is very close together, and somewhat of a safety concern. There aren’t elevators to the second floor. I was told there are only cameras in the hallways and entrances, so that’s concerning. Praying for updates.

I love this gym. My neighbors had parties here, and the snowcone stand was always a treat. Now the snack bar and I don't have much experience with that. I grew up swimming here when I missed swim practice. The attitude that I picked up here is that there's always room to grow and improve, and it's foolish not to try. The bigger the problem, the more challenging, the better we will all become. I'm sorry to have missed it for so long.

I have been a member at reds for years and have had COUNTLESS problems. They don’t want you to use or access your phone (which is insane), they allow members to confront you if they think you are “talking to loud”, they don’t stay open late, their policies are horrible. My most recent issue is that I have asked countless times to watch something other than Fox News when doing a workout to which they say that every other TV HAS TO BE ON FOX NEWS! This place spreads hatred, it is inexperienced from the employees, “trainers” to the social awareness that Fox News is offensive to more than half of the members here. Overpriced and all they do is shove propaganda down your throat. I would NEVER recommend this gym. Outdated and overpriced. Run far away from This place.

I have job which requires that I travel and this place DOES NOT accommodate a freezing of your account. “It has to be 3 months minimum” for freezing an account. So I’ll be paying a fee to a gym I’m not even going to for 2 months. Way to go guys! You’ve outdone yourself. Please be more ridiculous and ignorant. When hurricane Ida came to Houma, I retreated to Lafayette my wife and I I was bored at the hotel room so I wanted to go work out I went to reds and the people were so nice. I was visiting LA since am thinking of moving and was searching for gyms that had an indoor pool which could be used for water aerobics so i could keep up with my workout, Found this place that was about 25 miles from the place I was staying at and it had great times of opening at 3 AM closing at 10 PM and also which was great plus that the kids were not allowed to use the inside pools just as long as the weather was good on the outside. There was a $20 fee for people who did not have a membership and if I wanted to do a 5 day pass it would have been $50 but only needed the one. People at the front were friendly showed me where I needed to go and to be honest I was amazed with the size of the outside pools and the look of the swimming area of the inside pools. I did happen to notice some there's in the inside pool area in the back where I guess the hot tubs are so fine okay but the pool itself was great temperature it felt nice love the fact that it went 7 feet Deep one thing to criticize about the pool I didn't like the prickly things around the pool. Also as far as the teenagers they were kind of being obnoxious I had one of them still the tale that I had brought out to you sleep when I got out of the pool and then there were a couple of teenagers that were just making out and gravity each other in the pool nipple which I thought was kind Unnecessary the sharp era the shower area was kind of smaller than what I'm used to love the fact that they provide a house if you didn't bring him from home and that they had good spacious lockers and that they also provided people with hair dryers and a good area to sit down and get your hair and stuff back and order now the bad I got the worst and I'm telling you the worst ear infection of my life And I know when I get an ear infectiand because I'm played with them if the water has any type of dirtiness or they're just not cleaning it Or Filtering it right and I thought to myself oh my God not now I'm on vacation so basically the next day I could not continue to enjoy my trip and was looking for home remedies on how to stop the pain The area that the gym is at is very large they have a lot of different activities I saw and a great huge tennis court and if I do move around the area I probably will have to go to this gym I just hope the filtering system in the pool or the cleaning system is improved.

Do not come here if you have kids - particularly young girls. You will pay full price for a membership, but there are tons of services you will not be allowed to use with kids until they turn 14 (indoor pools, locker rooms, lap pools, etc.). Totally understand the rules, but you’ll still pay full membership prices for you family even though you can’t use the facilities 🤷‍♀️.

If you have girls, particularly ones who appear small for their age, they will not be allowed to use the waterslide. The lifeguards will tell you that it is a safety issue, but even if you can prove that they meet the height requirements (which also only exist for girls, they are not posted) and they pass the swimming test (swim to the side without a parent in the water) they will still not be allowed to ride. Boys, apparently are all good though. If you have a boy they will allow them to ride and even allow a parent to catch them at the end.

They claim to be family friendly, but their policies are highly discriminatory.

Very friendly staff, excellent instructors, numerous classes, great equipment and facilities, many pools (heated, outdoor, indoor, cold plunge, hot plunge, children's) and courts (tennis indoor and outdoor, basketball, pickleball, racquetball), boxing ring, and so on and on. Red’s is an oasis. I have never felt better than after relaxing at Red’s, whether it be the cold plunge followed by drying off in the sun (summertime), or the hot plunge, sauna, oh yeah and of course the actual workout equipment 😂.

World class gym right here in Lafayette, for a very reasonable fee of $65/month. They also have a kitchen with prepared meals and made to order ones (also reasonable prices).

Don’t know what took me so long to join!

Also, there’s a saying that “You’ll see them at Red’s.” It’s been the start of great relationships- in fact- it’s how I was able to start my new job- a referral from someone at Red’s.

Nothing bad to say about the gym itself, just be cautious as if you are treated poorly by an employee, especially a manager, and you talk to red, he will say “it’s hard to believe they didn’t treat you right” as the manager has been there a long time. Cesspool! The most disgusting unsanitary place! The woman's locker room has a leaking sewer pipe in the wall that never got fixed or cleaned. The woman's workout area is a collection of old and broken equipment and don't even think of going in the co ed work out area without getting harassed by creepy old lurkers in socks and sandals that walk around like they own the place. Not a safe place for women to work out! In the summer time it's just a cheap day care that kids get dropped off by van full and the kids are running around the halls screaming and knocking you down you can't even walk. The only redeeming quality is top-notch tennis courts and yoga instructors
