I highly recommend Tadpole Academy Swim School. In as little as a few sessions/days, my 2 children learned how to be comfortable and confident in the water but most importantly they learned how to swim. It was impressive to watch their patient instructors pour into them and encourage them when they were in doubt that they could swim across the length of the pool. The kids loved swimming and learning with them and did not want it to end! Great and informative swim lessons for my 2 to 4-year-olds. All three of my kids have taken lessons here and have really gotten used to the water and learned to swim. Love that it is offered in consecutive days, has great instructors who are good with kids, and the under-water photos are a nice plus. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

My kids (4 & 7 year old) did 2 sets of swimming lessons this summer; one class with Tadpole Academy and one with another local instructor. Tadpole is the absolute best. You just can't compare. My kids will ONLY be doing swimming lessons with Tadpole from now on. Tadpole teaches actual survival skills and the kids even have to swim in their regular clothes on one of the days! This was my first year with Tadpole Academy with my 2 year old. Everyone was super friendly from the swim instructor to the owners of the home. It was such a welcoming environment and atmosphere that allowed my little one to feel safe. The progress I witnessed from day one up until his last lesson blew my mind. He’s always loved water since he was 1, so sometimes getting him out the pool was a task, but his instructor was very patient and understanding with him. We’ve absolutely loved our experience with Tadpole Academy for Wyatt’s first swim lessons! We got lucky being placed with Nora! She’s been nothing short of amazing. Her patience, kindness, and sense of humor make every class fun.

My son absolutely loves getting to splash, kick, and even go under the water! It’s been such a joy watching him grow more confident each day. On top of that, I’ve learned so much about water safety and what to do in the event of an emergency. This was our second year doing swim with Tadpole and it has been an absolute life saver! I recommend 100% enrolling your children in swimming lessons, especially at this Tadpole academy. My son 4 years old had a great experience. He started from beginning and was very afraid of the water. In two weeks he was able to jump and dive into the water, as well as move around and get out of the water. I signed him up for another season to reinforce what he learned and give him more experience. Now he has fun in the pool. The attention of the coaches was excellent. And of course I would love another season for my child.

We just finished up the beginner course for our kids who are 3 and 6. I really appreciated that we could find a class close to our area.

If i could give them more stars I would. The instructors are so patient with all the kids . Some kids are older than others and they can adjust their teaching method easily. My kid is more confident in the water than he was before we came. I like that they have multiple locations and times to choose from. I do wish it was little longer but that is because they are doing an amazing job. My kid took the beginners class and he knows how to hold his breath, get out of the pool , walk on the wall to get out by the stairs, kick his legs and try to float.

This was absolutely the best decision I made for my baby. He has always been full of confidence around the water so having him take the swim lessons to learn life saving skills made me feel so much better. The teacher was so patient with all of the babies, took her time making sure that each baby was where they needed to be, and was honest about where we should be for the next session of swim lessons. We chose tadpoles for our 2.5 year old son who had some experience in the water, but prior to these lessons he only swam with a puddle jumper and did not like his face in the water. After day 1 he was already feeling confident and loved jumping into the pool and swimming with his face under water! The girls working with tadpoles were so patient and kind with the kids and understood which kids were ready to move up to new skills and which ones needed more time. They were kind and respectful and very obviously well trained! This is our 2nd year using Tadpole Academy. I would give 25 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ if I could!!!! Hailey, Kiley and Cameron were phenomenal with the littles. It rained a few days of our lessons, but these ladies braved the weather for the kiddos to get their swim time in. Each student got their fare share or time with them, even though they were all at different swimming levels. Rylen really enjoyed this year’s lessons. Since lessons have been over, she has asked to go back. I have seen first hand how comfortable she is with the water, and how much she has grown as a swimmer. Early lessons are vital to learning to swim. I would definitely recommend Tadpole Academy. I also love how they take time out of their schedules to travel to different locations around the state. This was my son’s 3rd two-week long swim lessons program with Tadpole Academy. The first was last May when he was in the Tiny Tadpole program at a pool in our neighborhood at 16 months old, and his instructor Kirsten was amazing. Then he did the beginner program last October at the Spectrum in Zachary at 21 months old, I cannot recall his instructors names but they were amazing as well. We just repeated this beginner program also at the Spectrum and he’s now 2.5 years old, we loved Ms. Naomi and Mr. Eli. All of his instructors have been very patient and kind, they clearly love working with babies and young children and do a great job making sure everyone is safe. I’ve been very pleased with Tadpole Academy and would definitely recommend to anyone who has them available in their area. We took swim lessons in north Louisiana. The team, Bailey and Lucy, were amazing! They were so patient with the students. My two year old learned to hold her breath, swim to the edge of the pool, and climb out. Thanks you guys!

I paid to professional and there was three teenagers doing the class..(between 16 and 17 years old)
The first day they told to jump and they put them under water
Of course this was too aggressive for the first day, my son start crying and all the kids was crying also, because they was force to go under water with no training at all..
The first day I thought they will be showing the kids have to breathe and move the hands., I left 20 min after the first class
and of course my son was terrified and not only that I lost my $220
The administratior offer me to drive to Norco witch is like 35 min away, to try again ☹️ why I should do that when they have the “same training”
Sad you should go to first class before you pay..

My son is 3 years old and not really a fan of swimming, probably because we just don’t have regular access to a pool. We put him in the Beginner level 1 class. He did cry a lot at first but they had him jumping in the water and swimming in the prone position. It was great seeing how they tailored the feedback to each student and their current level. So for instance if the child was more proficient they would work on taking breaths while swimming or working on the swim stroke and if not at a high level they focus on what your child needs help with. Watching the progress of the other children was also cool. The instructors, Bailey and Leah, were amazing. I will definitely put him in the next level class. If you want your child to learn survival skills and how to get the basics of swimming the correct way, this is the program for you.

Absolutely love Tadpole! Every staff member we've interacted with has been wonderful! Safety is their #1 priority. The format, though obviously a time commitment for caregivers, is the best way for the kids to learn. My kids are always nervous to start swim lessons each summer but with Tadpole they quickly get past the fear. The instructors are encouraging and genuinely care about each child's success. It's amazing to watch their confidence grow so much in just 8 days. We will continue using Tadpole for the coming years.

Perfect learning experience for new swimmers and refresher course every year. We were back this year with Tadpole for our 3 yo to get her ready for the summer. She is more confident in the water, not scared to get her hair wet and loves to practice what she learned over the last weeks. Ms. Avery and her support staff were well prepared to handle toddlers with little to no experience in the water. This is such an important class for them to know about pool safety and how to swim to the side and crawl to stairs or out of pool. We started with Tadpole back in 2018 and have had nothing but good experiences, at the New Song Prairieville location or other locations in BR that have worked out for us.

My son has completed the beginner lesson In session 1 at Spectrum in Zachary and he has learned so much. Due to the pandemic he had no prior experience in the water and now he loves the water. He has started session 2 at the same location today.I did two session of the beginner lesson for him because I want him to get it. After today, I believe I held him back lol but that’s okay I’m booking level 2 VERY SOON! He showed out today, I love it. The instructors are so polite and patient with the kids.

For the past 8 days my 18 month old little boy has participated in the Tadpole Academy swim lessons. This was our first time at Tadpole and we will definitely be back next year! The swim instructors, Avery and Maddie were very patient with Graham. They were so gentle and made it so much fun for not just my child but for the others as well. For the past 8 days my son has participated in the tadpole academy swim class. Although the first day was rough for him, he enjoyed himself. The swim instructors Kierston and Hailey were very patient with him and the rest of the students. Within the last 2 classes my son felt confident and wanted to jump in the pool. Tadpole Academy is not a responsible business.
There are many 5-star reviews because they offer a discount to parents who write a 5-star review.

They do not have insurance. They use private pools and claim that homeowner's insurance will cover anything, but that is false.

The lessons are disorganized, chaotic, and traumatic for children. Parents are responsible for coordinating a line of kids with no guidance from the instructors. The instructors do not seem experienced. The only reason we returned after Day 1 is because they do not offer refunds. By the end of the week it was a little better, with less screaming and crying from ALL participants, but I didn't realize that this is not normal. You will have to push your kid into the pool. They claim this is survival training but I am unsure that they are qualified to make that claim.

This was last summer. My child did not learn to swim or gain any valuable skills besides maybe doing the "monkey crawl" on the side of the pool.

Now that we have enrolled and taken lessons with a more traditional swimming school that is licensed and insured, I feel comfortable posting an honest review of our bad experience with Tadpole. I would not recommend this business for swim lessons, and it is disingenuous for them to be offering incentives for 5-star reviews.

I cannot tell you how happy I have been with Tadpole Academy! The confidence of my 3 and 6 year old grandsons in the water now is incredible. This summer, my two year old son took lessons with two different instructor groups. Everyone we worked with was incredibly patient, smiling, friendly, and understanding with every kid-all ages, all comfort levels, all swimming abilities. They worked with kids at their level, so every kid ended their lessons pushed to their best. I appreciate their patience so much. The administrators were able to work with us when our son missed several days of lessons due to illness. They really went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience. We will be back.

We were able to schedule our two kids for back to back evening sessions at the Watson location. One kid was in the beginner class, and the other kid took the stroke intro. class. It was super convenient being able to bring both of my kids to swim lessons at the same time and same location with the same instructors. My older kid had not had the opportunity to swim regularly in a couple years and the first day in the stroke intro. course was pretty rough because he had a lot of regression in his skills. But by the end of the 8 day session, he had not only re-learned his lost skills, he was able to swim long ways across the entire pool and he gained so much confidence. I was amazed with his quick progress. We'll be back next summer!

I highly recommend this program! My 2 year old took the beginner course in Thibodaux, LA with Nona & Mallory. He learned so much in the time from being able to hold his breath and how to get out of the water. They also did a practice in regular clothes to simulate falling in accidentally. Amazing instructors who took time before each lesson to teach different aspects of water safety. My 6 year-old has attended lessons with Tadpole Academy for 2 years, now, and we have nothing but the absolute best things to say about them! Last year she couldn't swim at all and, not gonna lie, the first 2 days were rough. Like her screaming and crying and me chinking her in the pool to an instructor because she refused to jump. But the 3rd day was MAGICAL! Her confidence soared and she was swimming with her eyes open by the end of the week!

This summer she learned different strokes and more information about pool/water safety. Ms. Laura and Ms. Hailey are so very patient, great at earning the children's trust, and knowledgeable about water safety.

Wow! Tadpole swim was an amazing experience for my 4, almost 5 year old daughter. She’s only had experience in pools wearing a puddle jumper and definitely never submerged her face in water. On day one of lessons, her confidence grew! I’m shocked how well she can swim after the 8 day beginner class. She can’t wait to use her lessons in the pool! I loved this class! My child is 4 years old and for some reason started being afraid of putting her head underwater and hated to get water in her eyes. After she took these classes she got more comfortable in the water, has gotten so much confidence that she thinks she can swim by her self now (only had one 2 week lesson), and still asks when she is going back. Now she opens her eyes in the water with no problem so even giving her a shower and washing her hair is a lot easier lol. I would definitely recommend! Not to mention the instructors are awesome!
