I've been going to Yoga Rouge for years. The owner and staff are always so kind and welcoming. With so much ugliness in the world these days, I am thankful Yoga Rouge offers a peaceful environment to come to.

I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training at Yoga Rouge under Heather and Dana, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! To be honest, I didn’t do any research—I just knew I wanted an in-person experience. I reached out to Heather for more info, and we instantly clicked. That’s all I needed to sign up, but what I didn't realize was that it was a hot yoga studio. As someone who hates sweating, I almost lost it after my first class. I was drenched and swore I hated it, but as the training went on, I noticed incredible changes in my body. My core strength improved, and the connection between breath and movement became second nature. I even lost 15 pounds of water weight and bloat, which helped ease my digestive issues!
What I didn’t expect was how intertwined yoga and spirituality truly are. I know seriously I need to do more research. Anywho... Heather did an amazing job mediating and leading healthy discussions on what can often be a taboo topic, creating a safe space for all of us to explore those connections. Her ability to balance the physical practice with the spiritual elements of yoga really deepened my experience.
Heather also exposed us to different teaching styles by taking us to various classes, helping me figure out what resonated with me. But what really stood out was how confident I felt in my teaching and poses by the end of the training.
Even though my teacher training is completed, I still look forward to learning from Heather and plan to complete my 300-hour training when the time is right. In the meantime, I love attending her 6:30 AM Stretchy Flow and Sound Bath class— It's the only thing that will get me out of bed at 5 AM. Heather’s teaching has truly transformed my practice, my prespective and my life.

Love Yoga Rouge! Hot Power classes at this studio are amazing! I also have enjoyed warm flow and fun “vinyasa beats” is a great way to mix things up! Which ever class you attend, you are sure to be surrounded by a community of great yogis.

My absolute favorite studio. Kind, knowledgeable, and helpful instructors. No pressure to be perfect but rather value a 'come as you are' and 'do what works for you' approach. Always a clean and welcoming environment.

Yoga Rouge introduced me to Hot Power, and I was immediately hooked. The studio was a second home for me while I lived in the area. Heather welcomed me with open arms and the classes provided a sanctuary amid the noise of day-to-day life where I could quiet my mind.
Most of all, I’m eternally grateful for the 200 Hour Teacher Training. I went in resisting every step of the way, but upon reflection, it’s that training that has gotten me through the past years when the going got rough.
Years later I still notice the benefits and I know I’ll continue to reap them—I am so grateful for having had that experience. Teacher Training not only allowed me to teach a killer Vinyasa class, but it deepened my connection with my personal practice and with myself.

I absolutely love the Yoga Rouge studios! I started off barely able to touch my toes and after a year of hot power yoga my body is stronger than it’s ever been - doing wheels and dancer pose with ease - and the mental clarity and peace that I have at the end of a class is priceless. This is the first studio where I learned how to breathe properly for yoga practice and the instructors are all so positive and encouraging to make any novice feel welcome. The prices are very reasonable for the quality classes you receive.

I love a good hot yoga session! I found yoga rouge when I first moved to BR and they have a GREAT $30 for 30 deal the first time you purchase. It is truly a HOT POWER yoga studio. They like it hot and they make you work! I feel so detoxed and powerful when I leave. Yoga Rouge is VERY community-minded with lots of donation-based classes, as well as, business partnering to provide clientele with great resources. The studio is very bright, clean, and open. The management is always fun and welcoming and if you can hit up one of the glow night you will not forget it!!!
I will say it can be tough being a beginner yogi at Yoga Rouge. The instructors often don't prompt how to come into a position and if you don't know the names you will feel very lost at times.

The instructors are definitely helpful and always encourage you to go at your own pace. The price is so reasonable especially for the quality of instruction you're getting. I've always been interested in yoga but when I tried Yoga Rouge I really wanted to make the practice a regular part of my life. Plus the instructors there will quickly become your friends!

Wonderful yoga studio. Mostly hot yoga, which scared me at first, but I learned to love it! It is pricier than other places I've been, but you definitely get extra amenities for the price (e.g., aromatherapy cooling towels after a class, amazing teachers!, and all the humidity you could want in a hot yoga studio (: ).

I finally had a chance to get to Baton Rouge and try Heather Kemp's Power Hot Yoga concept. I say concept because Yoga Rouge has a totally different Hot Yoga experience. Instead of dry directional heat from heat blowers; Heather has brought in radiant heat panels and a steam system that brings a balanced humid heat that completely changed my hot yoga experience. The room never got over 98 degrees, and the humidity enveloped the body and fills the lungs, so that the muscle movements were broader and the breathe was deep and clear. My bends were deeper, my meditation was rich and relaxing, and my yoga was far better than it has ever been.
It wasn't until the third consecutive day that my body understood what was happening and was truly ready, and craving, the Power Hot Yoga class.
Although Yoga Rouge welcomes and works wonderfully with beginners; this is the next level yoga experience for all moderate to experienced yogis have looking for, but did not know they were missing. There is no music, and the teacher calls the poses, as a master yogi does. This caused me to experience a deeper, more focused yoga than I have ever experienced before. It allowed for such a beautiful inward journey in both spiritual and a physical areas...you feel it a soon as you walk into the classroom.
Yogis, if you want to have a true master yoga experience...and truly grow your yoga practice; please take several consecutive Hot Power Yoga classes at Yoga Rouge. You will undoubtedly go deeper and farther into your yoga experience...you will break through so many barriers that you did not even know were there.

Personable and knowledgeable teacher leads the classes. She works hard to make sure your experiences are positive and productive. It doesn't matter what level you are-there is a class for you. Lovely, clean surroundings make the classes a plus. You are not one of the herd-but a treasured member of the class. I recommend you give this yoga studio a try.
