Best gym in all of Maine! I’ve been a member for over seven years, and I truly can’t say enough good things about this place. Adam, Chris, and Matt have played a huge role in helping me stay consistent and motivated through both high school and college athletics. Their knowledge, encouragement, and genuine investment in each member’s goals make this gym stand out from the rest. Whether you’re training for a sport or just looking to stay active, this is the place to be.

I suffered a near deadly hemorrhagic stroke in Sept of 21. It left me with severe hemipeligia (left side paralyzed). My insurance cut me off of PT /OT and speech therapy. My wife , who is an orthopedic PT , insisted I try Chris as he is highly trained in Neuro rehab. Long story short Chris & his staff have been nothing short of Amazing. The other day Chris had me walking 120 yards with no cane! Not bad for someone who was told I’d be in a wheel-chair for life. Chris knows his stuff better than most of the PT’s I have worked with!

I've been going to this gym for several years, off and on, as my free time and motivation wax and wane. Most recently I've been back on track for six months. I love this place. Over the years I've worked with all of the trainers there, and they are all excellent. They are great at judging my abilities, and designing a program to challenge them. Everyone there is very friendly, motivational, and non-judgemental. I especially like how the members there are all ages and abilities, and as one of the older members I feel very comfortable and supported there. I highly recommend thia gym.

This is a great team of trainers who know their stuff, who can explain it in detail (to geeks like me) and who are always open to making modifications based upon how the training is progressing. Plus, they are fun to be around. We joined during the pandemic winter because we needed to find a way for our family to get exercise and stay in shape...and we're staying because we're getting much fitter and having more fun.

I’m at the very beginning of my fitness journey and I feel secure in my decision to join Maine Momentum as opposed to the other gyms. Matt evaluated my overall fitness on day one and came up with a program designed to start me off in such a way that I won’t feel overwhelmed or tempted to quit (and as a life long sloth that is a real possibility). After 4 weeks, we will reevaluate and kick it up a notch. The gym is professional, and built for serious workouts. The staff is friendly and truly non-judgmental. I feel supported here and know I will find success.

This gym is unlike any other. Personal attention to YOUR needs, YOUR abilities and YOUR goals. It’s not just about picking things up and putting them down. I have been a member of this gym/training center for 10 years now. They offer the best ongoing conditioning, checkups, and wellness exercise programs around. I was initially referred by my physician who was treating me for osteoarthritis. I have learned to control body mechanics using stretching and strength exercises in my programs, learned about nutrition, and been introduced to and have embraced Tai Chi for health and wellness for both physical and mental strength. The quarterly evaluations allow checkups and update focus to maintain health and or regain strength after surgery. I have 2 new knees, 3 1/2 years ago and a new hip, 2 years ago. Through it all this gym has synchronized for post PT workouts to regain athleticism. I am a golfer.
The price is fair and far less than what I would pay for an evaluation every 3 months at a doctors office plus a gym membership somewhere else.
Check it out. Tell them I sent you. I have never been so strong and healthy in my life!

After hearing my boyfriend speak highly of his experience, I decided to have a performance evaluation myself. Every time I have some sort of ache or pain, Chris and his staff always knows how to get me right, even after I’ve gone to specialist! I am so glad to have found Momentum Performance. I have been to a lot of gyms over the years. Many offer programs, but they are generic. At Momentum Performance your program is designed for you to meet your personal needs. My goals are to shovel pain free all winter and sail strong all summer, and I have met them both. We all have physical issues, but the programs are adapted and the space and people are welcoming. Give it a try!

During PT sessions over 4 years ago, I observed their approach to individual training. After establishing baseline personal expectations, quarterly programs were developed. Our objective was and continues to be, to sail our heavy boat well into our "80's" and beyond. What is truly unique (at least to me) is the compound exercise protocol involving multiple angles and weights. All personnel are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Would encourage anyone interested in fitness to check it out and give them one month of your devoted time....you will see a difference!

Chris Prisbish (owner) and his team of staff are well versed at providing fitness programs geared towards your needs. They promote a smart approach to meeting your fitness goals and make themselves available for questions. Their genuine concern for your wellness is contagious and they employ evidence based programs tailored to each member's level of fitness. I have been lucky to be a part of this facility as I was able to avoid invasive back surgery through effective and targeted workout routines to address my physical issues. Additionally, I was able to relieve acute knee pain by staying true to the assigned workout regiment. Would highly recommend a visit to Momentum Performance for a FREE screening and baseline of your health markers.

Chris has proven to be an irreplaceable asset to our daughter's athletic experience. Training at Momentum Performance has changed my life. With Chronic Lyme Disease, joint fusion and replacement; I cycled in and out illness and injury without being able to get fit. I had been in physical therapy over 25 times with minimal to no improvements for various concerns. Five years ago I started working out at with MP and my whole fitness changed. They can focus on your health, train within limits (or push them!) and watch for what is working and what is not and then adjust it. I trained before my knee replacement in 2018 and then returned afterward to regain my fitness. My husband and I cannot imagine where I would be without Momentum Performance. I have recommended over a dozen friends and colleagues who also have had meaningful improvements. FIVE STARS!

As a former athlete gone soft due to a corporate career and nursing a shoulder injury from rock climbing - it was hard to stay motivated to work on my recovery while also continuing to stay active and improve in my sport. Adam has done a great job at pushing my limits and not just focusing on my shoulder recovery, but re-training me so that I don't get the same injury. I feel stronger and more motivated after training at Momentum. But watch out - I'm not sure I've ever done so many squats and lunges in my life!!! :-)

I am a late twenties athlete. I herniated two discs in my low back. Rock climbing, trail running, hiking and backpacking were no longer an option - or so I thought, based on what licensed medical professionals told me. I fired 4 physical therapists and chiropractors before finding Chris Pribish at U-Med Gym. If I asked any other licensed medical professional, I was told that I would not return to my active lifestyle and that it would take up to two years to live pain free. They were wrong.
I hobbled into Chris', barely able to walk due to shooting nerve pain. I had not slept in weeks. Within 30 minutes, I was walking comfortably. Within 4 weeks I was able to host a friend for dinner without crawling into bed by 6 p.m. due to pain. Within 3 months I was able to jump, jog for short distances and do some light climbing. I am quickly resuming my normal life under Chris' knowledgeable and customized care. His positive outlook helped too! I couldn't be more grateful.
