I really enjoy working out here, been here for 3+ years and I love that it's grown and has more space and equipment. Always clean, staff are always friendly. If I could make one suggestion that I think would be beneficial for everyone, would be to put stand-up style mirrors in the tanning rooms.. I've been having to use my phone to do my post workout pump pose down lol... also my wife said the same thing. It would be nice to see a before tan and after tan ... thank you!!! Please get mirrors in there !!!

One of the best locations I have seen. Everything is in great condition, the facility is always clean and the showers are nice. The only thing I notice that isn't what it should be is the hand sanitizers and hand dryers in the womens bathroom and in the locker room do not work. Theyre always full but they do not work. Fixing those and adding other ones in each area would go a long way toward keeping members healthy. I find it inconvenient not having them nearby and working.

Other than that 1 thing all my experiences have been positive.

On another note the total body red light booth is broken and hasn't been a ailable for a while. It is a big factor in why I became a member. I hope that get taken care of soon.

Megan is a gem when it comes to explaining Planet Fitness policies; she makes everything clear and straightforward. Whenever I have questions about the machines, Brooke is my go-to person. The true highlight, though, is the management. Nick is an outstanding manager whose expertise in fitness is unparalleled. He’s not just the manager; he’s the best personal trainer around! With his guidance, I lost 65 pounds, and his support made the journey not just achievable but enjoyable.

Shoutout to the Waterville, ME Planet Fitness! This place is a gem. I rolled in at 1 PM, and the cleanliness was on another level. Center-floors were being washed, vacuuming was in full swing, and I saw staff dusting and washing down the machines and equipment. The bathrooms and locker rooms were absolutely pristine.

The layout is spot on – everything is easy to find and flows well. All the equipment is in great shape; you can tell it's well-maintained. Plus, the employees were super professional – no one was glued to their phones or chatting with each other. They were all about keeping the place tip-top.

I was impressed by the selection of protein snacks available too. And a big plus: no machine hogging. Everyone was courteous and kept things moving.

As a Black Card member, I take advantage of my ability to use other centers due to traveling a lot, so I often find myself visiting miscellaneous PF locations, today I felt incredibly welcomed. The staff here truly know how to make a visitor feel at home. If you’re in Waterville, this Planet Fitness is a must-visit for any gym enthusiast! Much MUCH BETTER than my gym a bit "North?"

This is the first and only gym I’ve ever gone to and honestly I don’t think I’ll ever go to another gym. All the equipment I need is always there when I need it, the staff is very friendly and patient. I love having my me time at the gym. I do prefer to be left alone while I exercise, but it’s still comforting to know that the wonderful staff is always there to help. Can’t wait to work out today!! 💪🏼💪🏼

Update, 8 months later: This is still my go-to gym. I’ve not only lost a significant amount of weight, but I’ve also gained more muscle and have become overall much healthier. I had a hiatus during the winter for a family emergency and not only did the staff remember who I was, they actually welcomed me back. That right there was one of the most heartwarming moments I’ve ever had and made me more motivated to keep going on my fitness journey. I only wish the gym was slightly bigger, but it’s perfect otherwise.

I joined initially to have access to hot showers while my recently purchased home was under renovation. I have maintained my membership because I really enjoy working out there. Planet fitness has any kind of machine you need to work your body. And keep for including free weights and tanning booths. They have steppers and treadmills and it seems there are enough to go around. I gets busy around 4 to 6 but it is manageable.

I love this gym staff is always friendly and there is a lot of equipment. The only complaint I have is the Leg Extension machine is ripping due to normal wear and tear (nothing too big). This is one of two PFs I've gone too and I would say this is the better of the two.

Great place to workout if you hit the time right, noon time is my usual slot and there’s always plenty of treadmills and other equipment free. If you go at 5pm it’s very crowded so be prepared to wait for machines if you have a regular routine you follow.

I've been coming to Planet Fitness for about a year and a half, and I always have a great experience. The space is clean, efficient, and the staff is great. Specifically, Matt H. has always been especially phenomenal to me. In the last 18 months I've lost almost 300 lbs (coming to PF has been a huge part of that), and Matt has been so incredibly kind and encouraging to me remarking, commenting, and encouraging me and the progress I've made. He encouraged me to keep my picture updated because my transformation has been so drastic, and that's been really motivating too. I was really nervous when I was getting started, and it's been awesome to have someone here that makes me feel safe and accepted.

Even though I was a member for only 2 days, I want to point out that the general manager, Craig was very professional and helpful through the cancellation process. Having read the agreement in full, all I had to do was comply with the terms that I originally agreed to. There were no “hoops” to jump through and Craig didn’t make the process any more difficult than was stated on the agreement.

Im there every day. Typical machines and not quite enough dumbells, but "no judgement" is supposed to create a relaxed atmosphere. Staff is very nice, and saves the 5 star. They are apologetic for the music which is atrocious. I dont know the genre classification but there is no: rock, classic rock, country, folk, bubblegum, easy listening, etc. I guess its top 40? Or new pop? Without earbuds Im out!

I joined knowing it was only going to be for a few months and was told that when I wanted to cancel the membership I could do so by phone. When i called to cancel, I was told that i either needed to come in or write a letter to them with my signature on the letter!! While this might have been in the multi page contract that you sign, the point I would make is that this is just HORRIBLE business practice. They are trying to get you to sign up with automatic withdrawal from your bank account and then make it as hard as possible to cancel so that they can continue to bill you. In other words, it's kinda a scam. The club itself is fine, but be careful as they are relying on pretty sketchy policy and business practices to capture your business. Not the way a good business does business!!!!!

I had a blast working out. Well once I figured out how to run the machines. As someone who is new to any gym, let alone Planet fitness, a little explanation would have been appreciated. Like how to change the weight settings or how to turn on the treadmills. I didn't know you had to get the machines moving before they turned on. But after I worked through it my workout was amazing!! Then did 10 minutes on the tanning bed!!!! Quick shower and a blow dry to my hair!!! I left feeling astounding!!!!!

I've been a planet fitness member for 10 years now. An I think today is the day I am going to cancel my membership. For starters, this gym is a 24/5. An advertised as opened to atleast 12 am on a Friday.
So why is the gym turning away three clients. (that I atleast saw) am closed for the night at 905?

The gym has been my safe havor for the last decade. Helping me maintain physically, mentally and the clarity I need after long work week.
Now I dont like coming here at all. The atmosphere is not the same.
I have underline conditions and can't breathe with a mask on.

I understand people's concerns. Just I remember how this use to be a judgment free zone.
I feel like I am not the only person who feels this way. AN know plenty of people who left this establishment for this reason.

There should be a time in the evening. Where people who can't handle the mask or feels discriminated on. Can atleast come an enjoy the equipement that they pay for every month.

We can say oh its the state mandate. BUT ITS NOT LAW! OR LEGAL OF THAT FACT! Multiple other states have stripped their governs of emergency powers for the abuse.
I can show pubshlings how mask are not safe
Or breathing in your own carbon.
Depriving your body of oxygen.
Which on a heqlth standards is not good for people who over exerted themselves.
Court rulings where judges have said they are illegal an unconstitutional to force mask.
a mask is a medical device. An you need to be a doctor to give medical advice. Which has to be some form of consent as well.

I can go on and on and on.
Truth be told is. You care about the dollar. An staying open to provide a service. Which funds your pocket. Its a business. I understand. Just shows the lack of the care you give to your patrons and their health.

I belive there needs to be change. Your franchise is about a judgment free zone. Ive called plenty of planet fitness in other states. Where mask are not mandatory. An they tell me it's still a judgment free zone. So what happened?

Do I need to cancel my membership an go to this gym i found. Where they leave it up to their patrons to decide if a mask is necessary for their health.

Because of covid I had to move back up this way in late April. Since early fall I began utilizing the gym again, here in Waterville. (My home gym is Falmouth) The facility is clean and the staff has been super friendly. (Other than the female night cleaner who would wait in the locker room to start controversial conversations, would clean the men's locker room while they were in the shower, and would put down elder Veteran's.) These last few months more and more people have not been wearing their masks and no one seems to do anything about it unless someone brings it up to them. It is now a mandate in the state of Maine and it is very frustrating that others are being inconsiderate about everyone else's health and safety. I do not like leaving negative reviews but it has been brought up countless times to the staff about the same people not wearing their masks, over and over. On my way into the facility this evening I watched a young girl speak to the lady at the counter, the younger girl had her mask pulled down to her chin, did not pull it up then proceeded to go to the weights to lift without pulling her mask up. Then saw three males without their masks covering their nose and/or mouth, one of said males work d out almost directly in front of the front desk with their nose hanging out and no one said anything to him.🙄 The showers have also been ice cold for over a week now...
