I was a member here for six years. The card reader to access the gym has failed multiple times. I complained about once, the first thing I ever brought to their attention, and the manager canceled my membership.

I joined the Auburn St. facility a few months ago . I absolutely love it . Jake & Cody are wonderful guys . They’re always helpful if I have any questions in regards to equipment or anything else . They keep the place especially the ladies room spotless clean !! I’ll never go anywhere else! The parking is great , there’s a large parking lot

Not too crowded, good amount of weights and equipment. Only one squat rack.
It is an inexpensive gym, so it is very messy, and doesn't have anything but the price and flexibility is great.

Edit: shortly after I wrote this review the gym cleaned up. They cleaned the shower and there is hardly ever any garbage. I appreciate how responsive they are to feedback so I am adding a star.

Overall: nice equipment, but terribly maintained gym. Canceling my membership.

Pros: Nice, new equipment, and plenty of it. I’ve almost never had to wait for anything during my 1.5 years here, coming at various times of the day. Staff has also always been helpful when asked.

Cons: Zero pride in ownership and even worse maintenance. 1 of 2 showers in men’s locker room has been broken for 3 MONTHS despite repeated inquiries. 1 of 2 ACs has also been broken since the end of last summer…to their credit, at least they’re running it now, with giant trash cans underneath to catch the leaks. Last summer it was just shut off completely despite temps reaching 80 on the thermostat. Weights are also nearly never re-racked; I get that it’s a primary responsibility of the members, but when staff are just sitting around rather than tidying, it gives an apathetic appearance. Locker room cleanliness/paper product stocking is hit or miss.

Terrible customer service, I left my gym in a locker that I locked and came back the next day and my lock and gym bag were stolen and when I asked staff no one knew anything,was told they would review the camera's and call me back,of course NEVER got a call back,and when I called back was given the run around,then when I didn't pay for following month membership,was getting constant calls to pay for membership and when I didn't,then next thing I'm sent to collections for service I never used, talking about it's like Netflix if you don't cancel they keep billing you, terrible worst customer service, they're a scam

I had a membership which I decided to cancel as I was not using it. I went into the gym and canceled, I was told by the young man working there I was all set and I would no longer be charged. Well now I see a collection account on my credit report for 180?? This is fraudulent I paid each month then canceled so why the 180 charge?

Really nice place. All the equipment is new. I've never been on a smoother treadmill.

Only one place to bench, deadlift, and squat. So not great for powerlifters. And they won't attract any powerlifters. Arnold didn't show.

But for the newlywed that wants to look good naked...or the nearly dead who wants to hold off the mortician --this place works.

And it's open 24 hours! No excuses!

I changed my basic plan to friends and family plan and I found out that they charged two months for my old plan the one I already cancelled, and for my new plan! And that's because they didn't cancel my previous plan, which is awful!
I called the fitness center and asked them for a refund because it's absolutely not my fault! I was told that the manager will call me soon.
I'm still waiting for his phone call since more than three weeks. No one called me and I haven't received my refund yet!

This is a great place to get any kind of a workout in. They have a bunch of equipment. Most of which have at least two machines. Great atmosphere, very helpful staff, a little pricy (in my opinion) for personal trainer sessions. I highly recommend this gym to anyone who wants a good workout. Abs a bonus... It's only $10/month for a membership.

Have been going about 3 weeks now. Consistently a very comfortable experience. Machines are new, the environment is clean and pleasant. Workout Anytime Portland is a great place to workout. Convenient Location. Clean. Excellent Range of Equipment. They also offer affordable personal training. I have been training with LISSA at Workout Anytime for a month, and I am seeing changes in my body that I did not think were possible. Lissa is extremely knowledgeable as to how the human body works. She is always positive and encouraging, even on days when I want to give up. Each workout is designed for me and changes with every session. I never know what Lissa has in store!! Rude and untrustworthy. I had nothing bad to say about this gym until I went to cancel my membership and realized how awful the ownership, customer service and documentation system is. I called to cancel back in March because I had moved out of town. They explained that I had to come in to cancel. So I made the trip in, signed the paper work and they assured me everything was all set and I wasn't prompted of any further steps. Two months later I realized I was still being charged and so I called to get reimbursed, and they said there was no documentation of me ever coming in to cancel and that because there is no evidence they cannot refund me the two months I've been charged. I expressed my extreme frustration that I should not be inconvenienced for their staff's wrong doing and incompetence and he went on to assure me with 100% confidence that the staff is highly trained in cancellations - Obviously they are not! UNBELIEVABLY FRUSTRATING. My sister and her boyfriend (current members of the gym) even witnessed me cancelling that night in March and Workout Anytime was rude to them on the phone as well when they called to assure them that I cancelled and that they were there - Workout Anytime Portland clearly does not care about their members and are not trust worthy what so ever.

An outstanding 24-hour gym. Fits my second shift schedule, clean, fairly priced, plenty of variety in exercise equipment, a free-weight bench press, and a hydromassage bed. I personally would like to have a scale accessible but I can live without it. Being a veteran, I like the involvement I've seen the gym has with veteran causes and organizations. The sweepstakes they have are pretty nice too. Shows that there's more to gain than just a workout session.

The equipment and the staff are great, but there's a serious weight re-racking issue here. Every single time I go to work out, weights are left on the floor and on all the machines/equipment I want to use. It seems like none of the other members have any gym etiquette whatsoever. Whenever I want to use something, I have to take clean up after the person who used it before me. I spend way too much of my time at this gym cleaning up after others.
