Their workout schedules are very well-structured and diverse, allowing me to engage all the muscle in my body. All the coaches are friendly and especially attentive to beginners like me, adjusting the intensity to match my level and helping me stay on track to reach my goals.

Over the last six years since first starting CrossFit, I’ve traveled a lot and dropped in at many boxes and find the coaches and members at Blue Crab to be some of the best around. If you’re new or a seasoned CrossFit athlete, Blue Crab will make you feel at home and challenge you to be a better, stronger version of yourself.

I'm new to CrossFit and their nine class foundations program is an incredibly effective way to get you introduced to CrossFit and all the different exercises.

Most importantly they focus on technique and fundamentals without weight to start. They want you to matter the technique before you introduce weight to avoid potential injury. The coaches guide you through everything and are very knowledgeable.

The members are very diverse. Some are super in shape and others, like me, struggle greatly even with simple exercise. Even after I've graduated the foundations class and moved to the normal classes, the coaches still are watching everyone focusing on technique and improvement. They help me scale weights so I can complete the workout yet still feel challenged. I've lost over 21lb in my first month.

It's a super friendly, non-judgemental environment where everyone has the same goal of personal improvement.

Come check it out.. experienced CrossFit veterans or rookie like me will enjoy a hell of a great workout with outstanding coaches and members!

Blue Crab Crossfit has been an amazing place to workout since I joined 6 months ago. The coaches are great at making sure your form is correct, and they help with modifying the workouts to meet you at your skill level. I love not having to plan my workout ahead of time like I would at a regular gym, and having other people complete the workouts alongside me helps to get me through even the hardest ones. The morning classes are never too full so I never have to worry about planning around a waitlist like I have at other gyms. I’d highly recommend BCCF to anyone at any skill level.

I joined BCCF a month ago and this has been a great experience so far. The coaches have been incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable and they make sure we’re scaling our workouts in an attainable and safe proper form. I have been able to hit a lot of PRs and work on movements that I had never done before.
The community is equally amazing. Everyone’s supporting & cheering you on during those tough workouts.
The programming is great and has flexibility to scale according to your fitness level.
Class sizes are the perfect range and never too crowded. The evening classes are always fun and a great way to wind down after a long day at work. The box is always clean, organized and there are essentials (supplements/ energy drinks/ protein bars) that you can buy right there.

If anyone’s thinking about joining, I highly recommend Blue Crab.

Mandy is absolutely an amazing coach and a very flexible person. I love and appreciate her very much! Lol the classes will have you sweating pigs and horses but you will be fit! They have the "Inbody Body Composition Analyzer" machine to help you stay on track with your weight loss. Members are hilarious and supportive!

I am a pretty experienced crossfit gal, and landed on the this place after the CrossFit Gods brought me to someone named Jenna. I legit was not happy with the coaching, programming and commute to my other gym. I showed up at Blue Crab and was blown away by Tom. I was 3 days in to my week try out and didn't hesitate to sign up. That was before Halloween 2022. The coaching is great. Mandy does a great job keeping up with everything and the facility is great. Finally, the programming is great they follow NC fit so there is a fantastic balance of olympic strength lifting and challenging WODs ( work outs of the day). Moving here from Hawai'i and coming from a competitive gym with fantastic coaching, it has been so hard to find a balance. This place is it, and my gym home. I hate that I wasted time anywhere else. Blue crab has it all, great coaching, terrific programming and flexible classes.

I was in the area for the week and connected with Blue Crab on the recommendation of a member of our gym and I’m so glad that I did. Dallas and the entire staff were beyond accommodating. The facility was clean and well equipped. I travel a lot for work and this was by far the friendliest gym I’ve been to. Members just stopping and telling me hi and introducing myself. Due to my travel schedule I drop-in to a number of Crossfit boxes on the east coast. Blue Crab is head and shoulders above the rest. Don't get me wrong, the Crossfit community is friendly, everywhere. Blue Crab is not only friendly but Josh and Dallas are excellent instructors. They point out the little things and explain how to make adjustments in easily understood instructions. I often see immediate results. This is the Box of choice when I'm traveling anywhere in the Baltimore area.

Let me start by saying that I was the kind of person who thought that Crossfit would never be for me, I have worked out here and there, but never done barbell work at all. I was looking for a community and Crossfit seemed like it would fit the bill. I did google searches for weeks and found that Blue Crab was always at the top of the list. I finally worked up the courage to call and see what it was about.

The number one thing I appreciated was that they do a Foundations Course which is 9 classes to prepare you for all the movements. That made my anxiety level decrease tremendously! Having the foundations class helped me to realize I can do many of the movement and showed me I can modify movements I struggled with.

Josh and Dallas (the owners) are phenomenal coaches and break down the workouts in a way that while they’re still tough I know I can get through them! They truly inspire everyone to be at their best.

I found the one thing I was truly looking for in a gym: Community. This group of people are so incredibly supportive. We often have people drop in to our gym from out of town and they’re impressed by how we take to them and encourage and support them. It makes going to the gym more bearable and dare I say fun when you know you have a great group of people working out with you!

If you have been considering Crossfit, but were nervous about if you can handle it- don’t be! You can do it and Blue Crab Crossfit is going to be able to show you that you can do way more than you ever expected!

When seeking solid change for anything in our lives I believe we need a certain ratio. Community & accountability. Blue Crab CrossFit (BCCF) is literally the perfect example of this. Sure, you can join any gym and have the tools, but without the community it often becomes monotonous and short-term.

The coaches here embody everything that you would want in a close friend and everything you need in an accountability partner. It’s a rare find but I promise you, it’s here. While I was super intimidated (and still sometimes find myself in this mindset), it gave me the perfect foundation to discover a part of physical fitness I would have never done on my own.

BCCF helped me accept the fact you must get dirty and push past the point you “think” is your strongest. Without that push, you will stay within the parameters of what you believe of yourself.

No matter your fitness level, BCCF meets you where you’re at, and I think that is what we all ultimately need…. to be accepted despite our inabilities to fit the mold of some stereotype. SO, get past any fears and insecurities you may have, and join this community! BCCF sets the bar unattainably high for any other gym I will ever be a part of. THANK YOU ♥

I accidentally walked into a full-on CF class as a newbie (misread the calendar) and I immediately turned around to dart out the door. Josh ran over..."Yolanda?"...."Yes?" (I had only met and worked with Ben prior)..."Where are you going?" -- Long story short, not only did Josh encourage me to stay he scaled my workout to be challenging yet doable while not jeopardizing the workout of my teammates. More importantly...he knew my name. After a few failed attempts at nearby CrossFit gyms (poor customer service, intimidating atmosphere) I am glad I gave BCCF a try. I have NEVER engaged a program so rigorous and challenging. As a Living Social cardholder I actually expected mediocre engagement...NOT SO. I did not make it thru 5 classes on my class card before committing myself and my husband (who came along just to support me) as members. Fast forward one month and I feel different, I walk different and I look different....ALL GOOD DIFFERENCES. I think I even just set a long-term goal to train for competition after I graduate my Masters program in 2015. Stay tuned. I mean something to BCCF and that means something to me. #crossfitchick

I have participated in HIIT workouts at a lot of different gyms, and Blue Crab Crossfit is by far the best. Josh and Ben are so knowledgeable, and are genuinely invested in helping clients learn how to do each exercise with proper form and appropriate scaling. I've been a member at Blue Crab CrossFit for 3 months now and it has been a great experience. Josh and Ben are excellent coaches who know what they're talking about. I played lacrosse in college for a Division 1 program, with Division 1 lifting coaches, and I've learned more about weight lifting in 3 months with Blue Crab CF than I did in 4 years of collegiate sports.

The workouts are always different and exciting, and I actually look forward to going to the gym. I've belonged to several different gyms in the past and sometimes I have gone months without showing up.
