This is not a reflection of Golds Gym who staff is nothing short of amazing. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH A TRAINER FROM COMPEL FITNESS. Golds Gym has their own trainers but my Son mistakenly joined with Compel Fitness thinking it was apart of Golds gym. So when he went active duty Military after canceling his membership Compel Fitness continue to take almost $100 payments biweekly.When I called continually no one ever answered I left multiple messages no return calls left emails no reply so now I'm sitting in this hot gym waiting for a representative from Compel Fitness since

I love Compel! I've been apart of this community since August 2021 and it honestly feels like family. All of the guys are great, super friendly, and always are willing to lend a helping hand. Dave is my favorite. He's always accessible, great with making sure I'm doing my workouts properly, and his high energy in our Teams classes is amazing! When I need help with a personal workout, or meal plan ideas, Dave has always been my go to. I'm really glad I joined Compel. The accountability and consistency is everything for me.

Hello, my name is Christina. I started compel fitness may of last year. I have lost 31 pounds since. I was in a car accident and was out of the gym for about 4 months but even with at I have made so many gains and compel fitness help me get back on track and not give up. I also recently went to the doctors and Iβm no longer on blood pressure medicine compel fitness has helped me stay Focus and helped me get where I am today. This is a review of Compel, not Golds. Golds is great. But Compel employs sleezy business practices and salesmen tactics.
When offering a free session to my fiance, she did so and when they tried the sales pitch she said it was a decision she has to think about, as well as wanting to discuss it with me as it was a big financial decision and commitment. Their response was to tell her to lie to me about where she would be going and what she was spending her money on. They told her it was about her (which it is, nor do I have an issue with how she spends her time/ money), but the fact that want to her to try and hide stuff and be sneaky isn't a good set up. In addition, their free session only consisted of a 10 minute workout and a 50 minute sales pitch.

Gold's gym was my first gym membership ever. The second I signed up, Josh held me accountable to not falling victim to my own excuses. Since joining the Compel team, Dave's energy has kept me engaged. He also consistently sends me workouts to outside of training that aligns towards my goals. If you are looking for real results I highly recommend talking with anyone on the Compel team

I have been with compel for 3 months and i am down 15 pounds. Its been hard for me to stay consistent but josh has done a excellent job with keeping me motivated inside and outside the gym. Dave has kept me focus on my goals and always pushes me during workouts. He even came up with a great workout and meal plan. Iβm down almost 20 pounds in 4 months! This is a huge accomplishment for me, someone who is not athletically inclined. But Iβm so thankful for understanding and compassionate coaches who see where Iβm at and push me to be where I want to be. Weekly semi-private training with Coach Dave W is the best! Heβs fun and encouraging, and he pushes me to push myself and do hard things. Heβs always friendly and checking up on my progress when I come in to work out during the week, and he understands that physical health is more than just exercising - itβs changing unhealthy mindsets and habits at the same time. Since the beginning I wasnβt very optimistic about weight loss. But Iβm stubborn and had to try something. It started with a gym membership, than a call came. It was Compel Fitness about my membership including a fitness assessment. I went, I sweated, I signed up! I have lost 13lbs in the month since I joined. I couldnβt be happier. Dave and Justin constantly push me in my semi-private sessions. Itβs a push I needed, it felt great, itβs starting to feel even greater. I love that we try different exercises to target different muscles. I also like that when I ask for a modified version of an exercise, itβs provided. I am also reminded that we are working up to the point of coming off that modified version to the standard version.

Unfortunately my son got a diagnosis of autism and it was highly recommended that I put him in more intensive therapy 5 days a week. I cancelled my membership quickly and easily without any fees.
I would highly recommend the Dundalk personal trainers. When my son and I get settled in our new routine I will definitely be back!

I am almost 50 and could stand to lose a little weight. 49 years of typically poor American diet and lack of exercise got me to where I am today: 30% body fat, high cholesterol and a fatty liver which will eventually lead to cirrhosis even though I hardly drink.
Instead of drugs and doctors, I decided to address this with a fitness program run by professionals. I've had poor and mediocre experiences before with other gym chains, but the Dundalk Gold's location really is excellent and not what I expected.
The Compel staff is genuine, friendly and responsive. I have yet to remember all their names in the short time I've been a member, yet they remember mine.
My program is 12 months long, I am committed to it and so are they.

Compel offers great programs to achieve different personal goals. The trainers are on point knowing how to adjust seasions for each individual while still making you feel part of a team. Iβve trained many times with Dasha and sheβs amazing. She adjusts your posture if needed, alters workouts when you have an ailment, encourages you to get thru the last set, always has a smile on her face and genuinely cares for her clients. Highly recommend finding her out if you want to achieve those goals in 2019. I'm very impressed with the services provided at Compel. Their trainers (Doug and Alex) over in Dundalk do an incredible job of diversifying my weekly training exercises. They really take the time to evaluate and remember your fitness goals, are patient while still direct enough to motivate me so that I can excel and increase my ability to perform. I've already seen some great results as I transition to a healthier me and have created a healthier lifestyle in and out of the gym because of it. At the very least, I now have a ton of knowledge from this transformational experience, and continue to learn each week I visit.

He is someone very professional, kind and respectful. Regarding the exercise, it is always pending if I am doing it well or not, sometimes my back hurts a bit and he always has an alternative like doing the exercise, I really feel very grateful for his help

Iβve only done team training opposed to semi-private training, but the trainers really push you to work harder, which is great! Even though itβs team training, the trainers will still help you with whatever you need if you arenβt sure how exactly to do the workout youβre on at the time too. They make working out enjoyable. Not to mention the monthly checkups to see how youβre progressing, along with personalized workout routines, and an app to help you meal prep and stay on track of everything.

I've been working with Doug to gain my strength back after a bad fibromyalgia flare up. I just finished month one and I can definitely feel a difference. I feel stronger and have more energy. My workout is tailored to my condition. He never pushes me more than I can handle, while still encouraging me to work my hardest. And on days my fibromyalgia is acting up, he's willing to modify my plan to meet my needs. I look forward to coming in for my appointments and can't wait to see further results!

Only sign up if you're sure you want to be in it for at least a year. $250 cancellation fee if you quit early. I'm sure it was in the fine print but the man who signed me up, who has since thankfully been fired for unrelated reasons, didn't mention that part. The classes were great, as are the employees that are still with company. Just be warned.

I've really enjoyed working out with Compel Fitness. The workouts are intense but they get results. Since I started I feel so much stronger. The workouts change every week so I never feel like I'm doing the same thing over and over so I'm never bored, and no matter how many times I do the workouts I always feel challenged.
